Hi Blessing! Great reaction!! It was a pleasant surprise to see this video in my notifications, to me Lara is one of the very best singers on the planet - no one would be one of Dimash's idols & a huge influence on him if they weren't phenomenal! There are a lot of similarities between them, her sustained & breathy tones sometimes really bring him to mind. So powerful, she's a true Maestra vocalist, composer & musician. Dimash is my favorite singer of all, but I actually prefer Lara's rendition of Adagio, by just a hair. Of course if he sings it now, it'll be exponentially better than it was in past versions - which were phenomenally magnificent already! Some notes sounded just a little harsher to me in the China version, of course he was singing higher too, and I think he already had those little edges smoothed out by Sochi 2018. But to me, Lara was already "there" on this song in this version, I can't see anything that can be improved in any way in this performance. I think she "owns" this song a little more as well, maybe it's somehow more personal to her?🧐
