More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( her grandfather is from Detroit). She was raised in sicilia first then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert. But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio) ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April 23 2023 she had again a wonderful concert in Tbilissi, Georgia Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
Ahh thanks for that buddy - appreciate that - I have a lot to catch up on it seems! Wow!! I’m looking forward to checking out some more of the links you sent me and doing more reactions (copyright pending) very soon - she’s great!! I love your passion for her too ✌️❤️✌️ It’s so weird that I did a Dimash reaction too this week that she wrote the lyrics to - I honestly had no idea that was the case - weird ✌️

@@ninaonyoutube1967 yes, je t’aime encore: music from Igor Krutoy and lyrics from Lara. Released in 2010. Then 4 years later a russian version from the same song has been created, lyrics from Mikhail Gutseriev, and it became "Love of Tired Swans" performed originally by Lara. Again 4 years later, in 2018, Mikhail Gutseriev transformed the song for a male and it was covered by Dimash.
She is Dimash idol since he is 10yo, with Igor Krutoy she wrote songs for him and he did covers many songs from Lara who is still doing world tours in 2023
it's not only the voice, she's singing her own emotions into us, into our souls. Direct soul-to-soul communication in all her songs, , we know you feel it. So do we,,,,,,,,,,Top vocaliste in the world, speak fluently 4 languages, major star in Europe, # 1 in Russia ... Sony music sign her in 1999 and the Céline Dion group did not like it and that story, i will let others telling it. I grew up in Québec Province, Céline is great, but Lara is the Queen
Thanks for the comment I appreciate that!! She’s brilliant - I’m looking forward to doing more reactions!! Such a shame Celine’s team hampered her - but I suppose that’s the nature of a ruthless business .. still we have the internet so she’s worldwide now regardless ✌️❤️✌️
@@TheSomaticSinger yes Lara herself, said about this « that’s the name of the game ». And it led her to become her own producer and create an original artistic lane, not consuming her voice in gigantic repetitive and overproduced Las Vegas shows.
@@ericsicard910 yes super wise 😀 No point dwelling on what you can’t control so just get on with doing what you do best!! Clever lady! Oh and it paid off so win win for her 👏👏👏
Lara has been influenced by Barbra Streisand, Freddie Mercury, Maria Callas, Phil Collins, Nana Mouskouri, … See my other comments: 1/ she wrote Adagio that Dimash covered as he did with a few of her other songs (he is a big fan) and she even wrote the lyrics of his song Your Love. They sang together in a trio. 2/ Phil Collins had a couple duet with her 3/ She did several covers of Barbra’s songs but Barbra also covered the song Broken Vow from Lara 4/ Celine Dion is the reason Lara was prevented to succeed in English speaking countries: her producer and husband made sure her joint record company Sony stopped promoting Lara there, he knew from the quebec experience Lara is at a minimum as good vocally as Celine but definitely a much better performer, storyteller and emotions conveyer. Lara had to refocus on Europe, Central Asia and Brazil. There she is a big star.
@@legitor513 She admires Celine, but how could be an inspiration!? Celine was born in 1968, and Lara in 1970, so... Lara Fabian and Celine, both were on Eurovision in 1988, for some reason Lara just got 4th place(was great anyway), and Celine won! Both started a career after that!
Yes she’s amazing!! It’s so weird that I did a double release with Dimash as-well this week - I honestly didn’t know the connection - I’m loving that fact!! ✌️
hi this is my first time watching your reaction. You are like the Gordon Ramsey of music and i like that. By the way Lara is, in my opinion, the best singer ever.
Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific parce. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music composition and different lyrics (Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer of this new version. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Julie Anne San Jose, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , … They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love. ua-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/v-deo.html Her italian version is also amazing. A famous italian version: ua-cam.com/video/qf7xcMN-TYI/v-deo.html Or you can check her recent excellent rendition in Paris early october 2022 ua-cam.com/video/BulgxI-8zj4/v-deo.html
She is the real beast live. Her performances from the same concert as this song are insane! ""Je Suis Malade" in French --> ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html "You're not from here" --> ua-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/v-deo.html "Perdere l'Amore" in Italian --> ua-cam.com/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/v-deo.html "Caruso" --> ua-cam.com/video/BP2KnLemT78/v-deo.html "Quédate" in Spanish --> ua-cam.com/video/cX0CPdBV75E/v-deo.html
She is DIMASH idol. He got inspiration from her. They also performed together in a trio with Aida to perform the song “ Ti Amo Cosi “. Lara can sing in Russian, Italian, French, Spanish. She is one of the best female vocalist in the world. Thank you for the great reaction.
For me..Lara Fabian has the most beautiful voice of her generation. She is a masterclass performer..a wonderful caring person..and drop dead beautiful. This video is from her concert "From Lara with love" 1999. Every song from that concert is amazing.Check that out. Great reaction. Thank you for sharing Lara with us.
Thank you 🙏 ayes I’m definitely going to check out more of her material and do more reactions … I’ll check out the concert as well thank you for the heads up ✌️
Lara is by far the best female vocalist in the world, super talented not only as a singer and a unique performer, but as a composer, as this is one of her amazing creation. I mean, what isn't there to love of her? Thanks mate for you reaction!
Fantastic to get a Dimash and Lara back to back. Lara is in my opinion the top female vocalist on the planet. When you listen to Je Suis Malade-my favorite, (Eric will provide the perfect link) she will knock your socks off with her incredible emotive and story telling skills. The breath control is incredible on this one. On top of having this stunning voice, she has the heart and soul of an angel. No wonder she is the idol for Dimash😍😍😍 I have been a fan for 26 years. She is such an amazing performer.🎶💐💜💐🎶 I agree that comparisons are natural and usually harmless, but in this case, comparing her to Celine is a terrible insult, especially for a Canadian. Excellent reaction other than that. 🥰🥰🥰 Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Ahh thank you for commenting!! Yes I’ve got so much to learn which I will as I do more videos ✌️ yes my comparison was about influence which I was very careful to say I didn’t know if that was true - which it seems it isn’t which is fine - my opinion is always harmless as it’s just an opinion and I’m very clear every video to say that nothing I’ve said is fact. I’m just here to give my comments and build a community of people that want to engage and share their opinions too like you have done, I love that so thank you. It’s honestly no deeper than that for me. Thanks for writing my Dear - I appreciate it greatly ✌️🇬🇧✌️🇨🇦✌️
Por favor reaccióne a Quédate, To love again, Traviatta, Lebedy, Parce que tu pars, Angels pass away, Tango, Desesperate hausewife, Mademoiselle hide, Toccami, Tomorrow is a lie, Caruso, You're not from here, Perderé l'amore! Gracias!
🇨🇦 With Lara, every syllable in every word, in each line of each lyric is clear and complete from start to finish ! This rabbit hole comes with complete understanding from comments by Eric Sicard, which you have already read ! Now it is time to dive in !
She is the best of the best. Nobody sings like Lara, or lives through every word of every lyric like she does. Celine wishes she had that warm tone. Please do "Jes suis malade", "Caruso" or "Broken vow" from the same concert. Lara should always be experiened live, and this concert is legendary.
Yes I will probably do Broken Vow very soon hopefully.. again I’ve heard it somewhere before but I can’t place it .. definitely not Dimash this time though haha … anyway I’ll look forward to doing it 🙏
Awesome reaction. What the others didn't tell you is that this the original score of this music has been initially attributed to Tomaso Albinoni (a composer of the 17th century) but recently it was discovered that it is an original composition of the musicologist Remo Giazotto. In Italy it is sometimes played during funerals and it has an incredible emotional impact for me, because my father chose it for his own last goodbye. I've played it many times on the piano and on the organ. Lara Fabian rendition is majestic. Please go on with reacting to her, she is a treasure. An absolute treasure.
That concert is from circa 2000. It was a promo for the launch of her first English language album. She does plenty of other songs in French, Italian and Spanish in the concert
Now I have to leave a comment! Not only do I really like Lara Fabian, a great singer, songwriter, performer and beautiful person, but what a pleasant surprise to stumble across such an enthusiastic, dynamic and pleasant person as you ! Bonne continuation and see you soon on one of your next videos ! 😍
She’s one of the best with one of the best technique. Look at her doing Je Suis Malade, You’re Not Free, Broken Vow, Requiem pour un Fou (with Jonny Halliday) Perdere L’Amore
Celine and Lara both competed in the Eurovision in 1988 Celine represented Switzerland and Won and Lara finished 4th, Lara was born in Belgium as of 1990 she has been living in Montreal Canada with her family and is also a Canadian citizen.
Appreciate your first-time reaction to Lara Fabian, and I hope you check out more from her, particularly "Je Suis Malade," "Caruso," and "Broken Vow." Enjoy!
Lara is the best female singer and song interpreter I've ever experienced in my life! React to "Broken Vow" from the same concert! Like your channel, your good! Oh, Lara speaks 5 languages fluently and sings in 14 separate languages perfectly.
Lara is an amazing singer, so much so that Dimash looks up to her as a singer/songwriter. Lara also sings Adagio in Italian. Dimash has covered a quite a few of Lara's songs or I should say Igor Krutoy had rewritten songs Lara originally sang for Dimash. She's such a wonderful singer, so much passion.
I love the connection she has to Dimash or that they have to each other ❤ I will definitely do a reaction to Adagio and Dimash just for fun now that I know the connection ✌️
@TheSomaticSinger Remember to do the one from the Singer show, not the one from New Wave, and Dimash and Lara have sung together. Well it was a trio, Dimash, Lara and Aida Garifulina in Ti Amo Cosi.
Lara has been in her own league for many years, she could/should have been a global superstar (especially in America) if Céline Dion hadn't been there in the first place, her entourage sabotaged her career in the USA (René in particular) to make sure that the two singing goddesses do not compete with each other. In addition to having an outstanding voice, she's very pretty, has a real stage presence, is an amazing story teller, she's incredibly smart, she's a very good person, and she speaks many foreign languages perfectly, she's the real deal. But Lara is very professional, she's used to saying that what happened in America is "part of the game" and she's not bitter about it, but that's a fact, she could have been as popular as Céline, Mariah, Barbara, Whitney etc. She's a big star in many countries though, especially in Brazil, Russia, here in France, in Europe etc. "Broken vow" is incredible ---> ua-cam.com/video/FNVR0yK8Ec8/v-deo.html , her live duet on "The Prayer" with Michael Bolton too ----> ua-cam.com/video/M__6PFD1YEw/v-deo.html I came accross your channel by chance and I think that you're wicked, very funny and very good at what you do (you know what you're talking about). You're such a "queen" (in a good way of course), you're awesome lol. Keep up with the good work!
Hey ahh thank you - appreciate the comment 👌 Yes it’s the nature of the business it’s all a bit shady really and backstabbing but she’s had a nice career anyway by the looks of it and she’s still going too so fair play to her!!! Thanks for the compliments even the one about being a Queen haha I take it as just that ✌️❤️✌️
@@TheSomaticSinger Yes, definitely, it's a "monde de requins" (dog-eat-dog world), but yeah, she's had a great career, still going on indeed. You're welcome lol ;D. See ya!
She’s INCREDIBLE!!! You have no idea what door you just opened. Wait till you hear her sing Je Suis Malade from the same concert though. It’s insane how she becomes that song. As for the comparison to Celine, there’s a similarity but where I feel Celine is forced and robotic, Lara just becomes every song she sings so naturally. In other words for me, no comparison lol
Yes I’ll do that song too I hope very soon ✌️ I don’t really think she sounds like Celine it was a just a riff here and there that was reminiscent you know - I can actually see the Barbra S influence now that it was pointed out to me but I appreciate all their individual skills … all great singers for me … there’s room for everyone haha ❤️ thanks for commenting 🙏
What a wonderful energy you have! Such a breath of fresh air!! If you haven't done yet, please react to "Je suis malade" from that same show in Montreal. There is a version with English subtitles. It's a masterclass in techniques and power of emotions/showmanship.
Thank you for reacting to Lara ❤ Love this song it is amazing ❤ Lara is amazing ❤ If you want to know how little air is needed for belting, check this out. Lara Fabian - I Guess I Loved You ua-cam.com/video/q13zh3lQU5U/v-deo.html&ab_channel=peter21century Love Lara ❤ Love from Denmark ❤
I would like you to react to a song by Diana Navarro " El perdón " She is a very versatile Spanish singer. She sings different musical styles. She has a melismas and a capacity to sing with very long notes. She always transmits with her face and gestures. Best regards
I looked into doing that actually but it gets blocked for me so I can’t do it … well I can’t do the video anyway but maybe I can find a good quality live version that doesn’t get blocked 🚫 I’ll keep searching ✌️
Thanks to Eric Sicard for his responsiveness to introduce us to Lara's universe. These comments are of rare quality. To complete, here are the links to the two duets with Phil Collins: Lara Fabian et Phil Collins : Throwing It All Away ua-cam.com/video/8d5ZbEJOXdA/v-deo.html Lara Fabian et Phil Collins : True Colors ua-cam.com/video/Img4Gy4w6B4/v-deo.html
Oh you have fallen into the trap now. Lara wrote the lyrics to this piece. Lara was not influenced by Celine Dion. They were coming up in their career at the same time. I’m sure there are folks on here who can give you more accurate info than me. Please, please react to some more of her work. I’d love to get your reaction to a few. I know you would love them xx
Lara Fabian , once again the very beautiful, very strong but velvety voice of a very beautiful singer. She always seems to sing so effortless also in the (very) high notes....A voice you can listen the whole day. Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics in English and in Italian on the notes of the old classic music composition ""Adagio"" . Lara sings the song Adagio in English, Italian and half English and half Italian ... Lara writes and sing often her own compositions in two or tree different languages and switches without effort. However, I prefer the Italian version. ua-cam.com/video/BOKLQKnPbkM/v-deo.html
Will you please react to Lara Fabian & Mario Frangoulis cover of Cole Porters So in Love from Kiss Me Kate? I would love to see your thoughts. Mario also have an amazing voice and is classically trained and has a beautiful cover of Knights in White Satin in Italian!
If you want some singers to check out for vocal technique, try Faouzia, Darren Espanto, Marc Martel and Katrina Velarde. Lara is a beautiful singer, well known through Europe, born in Belgium but living in Montreal for years now. Faouzia, born in Morocco but living in Canada since a baby. Darren Espanto, born in Calgary, Alberta and now based in Manila. Marc Martel, born in Montreal, based now in Nashville and Katrina Velarde from the Philippines.
Ahh thank you for the suggestions I will definitely check out some of those 🙏 I’ve heard of Faouzia actually so I’ll probably do her first maybe … thanks again ✌️
LOVE your review and so happy you have discovered Lara. Just one suggestion…. Stay with 1 visual point… the bouncing around from one to another and yet another is very distracting. When I watch a “watch and review” I like to see the reviewer’s expressions and listen / watch their comments as they watch. Difficult to do when the frame keeps changing and take away the connection you are having with your viewers
Thanks for watching ✌️ I’ll be staying with the multiple angles as that’s the style I like and want for my channel - I like it but thanks for the comments ✌️
Lara Fabian, simply the greatest female singer on this planet.
I second that
Joint.
You know the other female!

She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship
She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music).
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her.
She is Dimash's idol:
I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep.
He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara.
Out of my mind I can list:
○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version)
○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know")
She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love".
Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration:
○ Floor Jansen (Adagio),
○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime),
○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie),
○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow),
○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace),
○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow),
○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow),
○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow),
○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime),
○ Forestella (Je suis Malade),
○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow),
○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow)
○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow),
○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know),
○ Il Divo (Adagio)
○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you),
○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow)
○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso),
○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie),
○ Amir (Je t’aime),
○ Vitas (Adagio),
○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio),
○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio),
○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade),
○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade),
○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio)
○ Majda Roumi (Adagio),
○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow),
○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow),
○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you)
○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime)
○ ....
On April 23 2023 she had again a wonderful concert in Tbilissi, Georgia
Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.

Thx for your info. Is Je T'aime Encore written by Lara too?
Such a shame Celine’s team hampered her - but I suppose that’s the nature of a ruthless business .. still we have the internet so she’s worldwide now regardless ✌️❤️✌️

yes Lara herself, said about this « that’s the name of the game ».
Oh and it paid off so win win for her 👏👏👏
Lara has been influenced by Barbra Streisand, Freddie Mercury, Maria Callas, Phil Collins, Nana Mouskouri, …
See my other comments:
1/ she wrote Adagio that Dimash covered as he did with a few of her other songs (he is a big fan) and she even wrote the lyrics of his song Your Love. They sang together in a trio.
2/ Phil Collins had a couple duet with her
3/ She did several covers of Barbra’s songs but Barbra also covered the song Broken Vow from Lara
4/ Celine Dion is the reason Lara was prevented to succeed in English speaking countries: her producer and husband made sure her joint record company Sony stopped promoting Lara there, he knew from the quebec experience Lara is at a minimum as good vocally as Celine but definitely a much better performer, storyteller and emotions conveyer. Lara had to refocus on Europe, Central Asia and Brazil. There she is a big star.
Yup, so true
Je suis étonné que tu ne cites pas Céline parmi ses inspiratrices ... ?
@@legitor513 She admires Celine, but how could be an inspiration!? Celine was born in 1968, and Lara in 1970, so...
Lara Fabian and Celine, both were on Eurovision in 1988, for some reason Lara just got 4th place(was great anyway), and Celine won! Both started a career after that!

This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Julie Anne San Jose, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love.
ua-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/v-deo.html
Her italian version is also amazing. A famous italian version:

Fantastic to get a Dimash and Lara back to back. Lara is in my opinion the top female vocalist on the planet. When you listen to Je Suis Malade-my favorite, (Eric will provide the perfect link) she will knock your socks off with her incredible emotive and story telling skills. The breath control is incredible on this one. On top of having this stunning voice, she has the heart and soul of an angel. No wonder she is the idol for Dimash😍😍😍 I have been a fan for 26 years.

I would love to see you react to Je Suis Malade
Awesome reaction. What the others didn't tell you is that this the original score of this music has been initially attributed to Tomaso Albinoni (a composer of the 17th century) but recently it was discovered that it is an original composition of the musicologist Remo Giazotto. In Italy it is sometimes played during funerals and it has an incredible emotional impact for me, because my father chose it for his own last goodbye. I've played it many times on the piano and on the organ. Lara Fabian rendition is majestic. Please go on with reacting to her, she is a treasure. An absolute treasure.
Thank you and thanks for the info - very interesting ✌️ I will definitely be doing more of her very very soon ✌️
That concert is from circa 2000. It was a promo for the launch of her first English language album. She does plenty of other songs in French, Italian and Spanish in the concert

@@hitomiochiai8787 ok will do ✌️
Lara has been in her own league for many years, she could/should have been a global superstar (especially in America) if Céline Dion hadn't been there in the first place, her entourage sabotaged her career in the USA (René in particular) to make sure that the two singing goddesses do not compete with each other.
"Broken vow" is incredible ---> ua-cam.com/video/FNVR0yK8Ec8/v-deo.html , her live duet on "The Prayer" with Michael Bolton too ----> ua-cam.com/video/M__6PFD1YEw/v-deo.html

Thank you 🙏 I will check out the link for sure ✌️🇬🇧✌️🇩🇰✌️
Lara is an incredible multilingual storyteller. Please react to "Je suis malade" at that same concert. Or to "Caruso" In Italian
More lara Please
She’s coming this Sunday you’re in luck haha 😂 😂😂
Thanks to Eric Sicard for his responsiveness to introduce us to Lara's universe.
These comments are of rare quality.

Thank you 🙏 yes I will hopefully be recording something very soon of hers, probably Je Suis Malade ❤️ thank you for watching ✌️
Yes Lara is excelent but you too!
Haha thanks buddy 😊
Lara Fabian , once again the very beautiful, very strong but velvety voice of a very beautiful singer.
She always seems to sing so effortless also in the (very) high notes....A voice you can listen the whole day.
Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics in English and in Italian on the notes of the old classic music composition ""Adagio"" .
Lara sings the song Adagio in English, Italian and half English and half Italian ...
Lara writes and sing often her own compositions in two or tree different languages and switches without effort.
However, I prefer the Italian version.

@@TheSomaticSinger They are all deep rabbit holes! With Faouzia.....check her Stripped versions - they are much better. Cheers!
Please react to this performance of hers next. She sings a part of it without the microphone!

Reminds me of Celine Dion
I guess it's not as alliterative, but did you ever considered for your Channel the name TheCorporealSinger?
I think she s better than Celine, she's got more soul, but that s just me of course, she is the best!
you ned to list3en je suis malade
Please your react Cakra khan in America's got talent 2023 🙏 🙏
You must check the Brazilian phenomenon Gabriel Henrique.
Yes I definitely have plans to do him ✌️ thank you 🙏
He is a HUGE FAN of Lara Fabian as well. 💜😉
