Don't try this if you have no idea what you're doing, the sanding wheel can and will ignite the gas vapor if there is big enough leak from the tank. And you will burn down your car probaly your house too. However, not a bad idea if you know your shit.
Good that you were able to complete without an accident, but would not recommend this method. The foil would not prevent vapour ignited by a spark. The time saved isn't worth it (I've dropped the tank on this car and it's PITA too).
Looks like this is an issue even on the newer ones. I have a 14 and have been smelling fuel vapors. Had it looked at underneath and no leaks down there. Im guessing it's this same issue.
Plus you are the only one who explained how to do the quick disconnect for the fuel line.
You guys can use the Oscilator cutting. It will not have sparkling fire. Thus is the best method i like to do it for my car. Thanks for sharing
Excelent job my friend. I have the same problem, I hope is only the ring

Why did you need to replace O-ring?
could you pull the pump out from there after you cut the hole open more?
Good job kiddo
how tight do you tighten the nut when replacing it
Link where you bought your o ring gas cap
What size is the connector, anyone here know?
yo what type of floor mat is that
Yea, sparks and gas fumes, not very smart.
Why glue it back it if youll need to do it again or the next owner lol
