    My supplier sells a brass/bronze wool. Steel wool, I find, rusts easily, and it tends to scratch non-glass surfaces more easily if you're in a hurry. Way more expensive, but definitely lasts longer - you can even buy a bronze wool mop which I use a LOT on windows that haven't been cleaned in a while.

    A friend and I just starting a window cleaning business in Australia and the pricing in America seems a little different to here in the land down under. $250 USD is around $340 AUD at the moment. It just seems a little pricey compared to something similar we would do over here. Am I over thinking it, or could prices actually be different here? Thanks a lot, love your videos :)

    Ok $250 bucks how is that even possible charging for those few windows?
    Second here in Texas 90% of the first time windows that I clean are about 500% dirtier then those windows outside of the paint over spray.
    Customers down here only want to pay about $1.00 per Pane for both sides.
    Fish windows charges about that price and so does a lot of the solo window cleaners.
    So how exactly are you guys getting customers to pay that price of $250?

    • @leonardocleaningllc1952
      @leonardocleaningllc1952 6 років тому

      Dallas customers wouldn’t pay more then $50 for that store cleaning both sides.

    • @LukeTheWindowCleaner
      @LukeTheWindowCleaner  6 років тому +1

      Hey buddy!
      Idk maybe it's just the difference in our markets. But I actually think they are pretty similar from what I understand. I hear all kinds of things...too cheap ...too expensive. We charge what we are comfortable with 😁
      Grime and filth never shows up good on camera lol. But o yeah , we have cleaned way way worse then this. It did have a good amount of overspray and adhesive at the tops on the interior. But yeah $275.00 ,2 people ...right at 1 hour and 10 min. Was a nice little job to be squeezed in on our Friday route.

    • @leonardocleaningllc1952
      @leonardocleaningllc1952 6 років тому

      Luke The Window Cleaner Thank you, a lot of customers down here for store front work don’t want to pay more then $1 per Pane. So I’m trying but kinda at a loss.

    • @dawonnejackson4095
      @dawonnejackson4095 6 років тому

      Wow! Those TX prices would put me out of this business. Although I don't do storefronts, at the moment I do construction clean up only (Turner, Elford, etc.) which does very well here throughout Ohio. They tend to value quality over pricing, got to give them the proper results though for the price. I have removed everything from cement/silicone to paint/factory stickers. I charge properly for an initial clean, first clean and then a final clean on all bids for curtain wall windows (ext/int) and all interior glass.

    • @dawonnejackson4095
      @dawonnejackson4095 6 років тому

      @@leonardocleaningllc1952 I think that's what kept me away from store fronts hearing about the low pricing/minimum loyalty.

We then had a crew of 8 hang from the front to clean those windows. We pressure washed the interior glass then subbed out a carpet cleaner to vacuum out the excess water. After that us and the other 16 guys labored inside with wfps to get the inside cleaned.
