• NEWS! Guest Makeup Art...
This is my first 'Guest Artist' video. Charlotte and I spoke about doing something before the summer but it wasnt until after summer holidays and right before New York fashion week at the beginning of September that we were both free to film this! Everyone is so incredibly busy with shoots etc but I hope to have a guest artist every month (or two depending on schedules!). Hope you enjoy!

Makeup artists are the most calming people ever. I love it.
you haven't been on a film set. if the MUA isn't a bitch something is wrong
pat mcgrath would be amazing for a guest makeup artist!
I've watched this a MILLION TIMES. Such a good look
+fauxeditor it's my absolute favorite tutorial ever
+fauxeditor Actually there were only 567,603 views when I saw your comment so I feel like somebody is lying.

I am turning into a full fledged Anglophile with makeup-beauty with Lisa Eldridge, Charlotte, Mary , Caroline Hirons...and Sali. I rarely take anyone else's advice seriously anymore lol.
Omg she has the most beautiful skin I have ever seen.
The look became instantly more beautiful when Kara smiled. Stunning!
The model looks like a famle version of Johnny Depp- maybe it's the cheekbones and the way the eyes a set? Absolutely stunning- and gorgeous skin!
omg i totally agree. she is soooo pretty.
the model's face is a masterpiece....those cheeeeekbones
When one video in 2012 is more satisfying then 100 others in current time. This is how certain old school techniques should be applied - high coverage concealer, cream contouring & highlight, overlining of lips, gradient eyebrows, and warm smokey eye look. So soft yet so effective in correcting flaws and enhancing features.
Wow I thought the model was beautiful during the video when she was getting the makeup done but then at the end you see her smile she's even more gorgeous.
this model is GORGEOUS, her eyes are like an alien, so beautiful!
Lisa Eldridge and Charlotte Tillbury in one video! Two of my inspirations!
Very pleased you found it and didnt miss it completely X
Now THIS is high fashion!!!
She was already beautiful without a stitch of makeup on. Her bone structure is amazing. The makeup of course looked stunning on her. very classy
I was lucky enough to have had my make up done by Charlotte Tilbury for the Cynthia Rowley Spring 2008 fashion show during NYFW. She is incredibly talented and has a delicate touch rather than poking and prodding. She such a delight. I was a nervous new model and she was very warm and friendly and made me feel at ease.
So wonderful. I laughed when Charlotte called it the quintessential French look because about half way through it reminded me a beautiful French woman I knew years ago.
The model's eyes keep glazing over! She is very beautiful.
wait Lisa doesnt monitize her videos? i never see any ads
No, I don't believe that she does. She's not making youtube videos for the money, which is rare today, haha
urgh shes the best eveerrrrr
She has custom thumbnails for her videos. You can only do that if you are a UA-cam Partner and you can only become one if you enable monetization. I'm sure she can control whether her videos play adds or don't.
livjunkie because she's amazing like that. imagine being a top makeup artist and giving out your tips like candies. its why I love her.
livjunkie she has now, but she is donating the money to a charity for girls in developing countries (education etc)
I love Lisa and Charlotte SO much, my lord. Both of my faves.
The freckles are BRILLIANT
What a stunningly beautiful model. Knocks spots off Kate Moss.
I absolutely love how Charlotte gets so excited about the look that she starts muttering a little bit. You can truly tell she loves what she does by how excited she is!
The model's skin is so flawless!! wonderful video x
The model is so exquisite *_*
I love Charlotte Tilburry's work! It's such a shame that her youtube channel turned into an ongoing series of commercials for all of her products... stopped watching a long time ago now.
+artplosion Agree. But I don't think she is half as good as Lisa. Lisa is more natural and real.
MissSeaworld8 I don't know-they're both extremely talented makeup artists, Lisa probably comes across as more 'real' because she's not trying to sell a product in her videos.
I totally agree. Charlotte's videos are about her products, rather than teaching make-up artistry. I always think if a make up artist is passionate about make-up, they'd want to share their talent so other people can look good, thus increasing confidence, etc. I get that from Eldridge, but not Charlotte.
She still educates and gives superb make-up lessons, but just uses her products instead. Her products are amazing!
She's not really educating any more, since she forcefully uses as many products as possible in a video to promote them, ending up with a much smaller diversity in the looks the creates. Also the way she does it what she shoes is not applicable for everyone - "I start every makeup look with my miracle magic cream..." what about people with very oily skin? They would need a mattifying product. Lisa always takes all ages, colours, and skin types into consideration to truly educate. Charlotte creates commercials in the form of a tutorial.
Such a great idea to have other well established artists show off their talent for the public eye. It's great to simply watch her in action. Mesmerized, just as I am every time I watch Lisa create her beautiful looks!
I LOVE to see the actual artists creating the famous cover looks. It's like sneaking back stage to see them work and sharing in their larger than life personality - Darrrling!
I’ve watched it so many times. It’s literally my favourite tutorial ever. I would have to download it, so informative and beautiful. Thank you, Lisa and Charlotte
she is soooo gorgeous!
Simple, chic, beautiful!!! Charlotte thank you for showing us your work, Lisa thank you for being always so close to your viewers with new ideas!
That lip is amazing! Ty for bringing in Charlotte and Ty Charlotte for coming!
This woman is a great teacher!
she's so perfect
I'm convinced that what makes a makeup artist truly great is the ability to make someone feel beautiful before they've picked up a brush or a color. I love Charlotte's personality in this video. Makes me feel happy just watching. xo
What an amazing artist! Yesterday I did my first Make-Up Artist job..I was so excited! All of my teachings were from some books and from Lisa's video tutorials! So happy about showing the world that dreams come true! All the clients were so happy about my job and I was incredibly happy too!
Lisa is my Queen but I could listen to Charlotte Tilbury all day, every day. X
i would love to know what this girls skin care routine is, i dont care how much it costs! id probably spend as much money on makeup trying to cover my awful skin up
I am sure she takes good care of it, but not all the most expensive skin care in the world can MAKE your skin like that if don't have the genes for it...If it's written in your DNA, then that's that... It such a devastating fact of life... *sobs infinitely*
I love how beautifully sculped and flawless her face is to begin with! Gorgeous!
It is so awesome to be able to see the makeup artist actually recreate the look! Absolutely fantastic!
Damn that model is gorgeous
Love the freckles
Gorgeous. Thanks to everyone involved for shaing their time, talent, and expertise.
I love Charlotte's work and it is fantastic to see her 'in action; and especially sharing some of her tips as well, so so so excited about this! Thanks so much Lisa and Charlotte!
AMAZING!
It's great to see Lisa and Charlotte don't automatically slap on concealer.... I am a bit older than you two and it's nice to see sensible but stunning makeup! I don't know why everyone just layers on concealer just because... it is called concealer as you use it to hide blemishes.
I just love seeing beautiful skin being visible! I have got to the point where I have to avoid anything drying and this is great!
Thank you so much Charlotte for showing for sharing this with us, and thank you Lisa for doing these collaboration videos.
This is why I luv you Lisa. Sharing your knowledge and now you've invited others to do the same...Hallelujah! I'm inspired by you all, really.
you can see where Charlotte got inspiration for her own makeup line :). they definitely reflect her range. love her products.
Amazing Charlotte...
Out of this world stunning! That lip color is FANTASTIC! I also love the darkness she created underneath the eyes, very sultry! The skin!!!! Just every single detail of this is INCREDIBLE. I just love to see artistry at it's finest!
This is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much, Lisa, for giving us the opportunity to learn with these wonderful make-up artists. And thank you, Ms. Tilbury, for showing us this look!
Most vids on youtube now from Tilbury's channel are always an advert for her own products that's why I prefer Eldridge
sassmaster1 Lisa doesn't have her own makeup line.....yet.
+MalenkyGoblin She works for Lancome and doesn't force their products on us
artplosion. It's a funny thing, someone spends tens of thousands of pounds and years developing a cosmetics line, they kinda will want people to know about it and purchase it. Much like Kevyn Aucoin's makeup line, or Pat McGrath's.
MalenkyGoblin Those two people don't have a youtube channel though. Lisa sincerely wants to help the average man/woman improve their makeup techniques and includes affordable products. I understand the need to market your stuff, it's just annoying to watch a tutorial that's essentially a commercial in which everything is "just fabulous and goddess-like" and in order to recreate the look you have to buy all of the products.
artplosion Kevyn Aucoin died in 2002, but not before writing three hugely successful makeup books in the 90's .
Pat McGrath I'm amazed has time to create her own products with being the Creative Director at Proctor and Gamble and Keying shows at Fashion Weeks in NY, London, Paris, and Milan. She's also does videos on UA-cam for Cover Girl.
I wear a look similar to this in the summer with Mac cherry lip liner and lady danger in the center but instead of a heavily sculpted face I just gently bronze and apply just a slight bronzey tone around the eyes! It's one of my favorite looks is pops but it's not difficult or time consuming to achieve
She is absolutely gorgeous!
Such a lovely look, thank you Lisa for inviting Charlotte it is wonderful chance for us to see great makeup artists joined together in one video.
I am in love with this look!! Wow it really is the ultimate no makeup, makeup look!! Top marx!! xx
best tutorial, best skin
How beautiful! The freckles was the perfect touch!
I think it's brilliant that the looks you post are exactly as they were. It's so nice to know and learn makeup from the pros.
i don't use make up however I could watch you two for ever, superb work and if I did use make up this is the kind of finish I aspire to- so inspirational... I am so interested in the moisturizer and mask you use, your own line,
Not sure whether there's even anyone watching this video knowing about the band haha, but the model totally reminds me of the boy in System Of A Down's "Aerials" music video. Absolutely beautiful.
Totally agree! ❤️
Brilliant Charlotte! Such a pleasure to see you work! What a privilege!! and Thank you to the House of Eldridge!!
Absolutely beautiful!! Thanks Lisa and Charlotte!
I learned a lot from this. Thank you! I finally understand how to achieve that beautiful, multidimensional matte lip. My fat lips don't necessarily need to be shiny. Matte lips are super retro and sophisticated. Love them but sans the drying effect to the lips
this is art.
Brilliant video! Thanks Lisa for introducing La Tillbury and sharing her talent and work here with us. Just amazing to see people of this calibre in action. In awe! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Charlotte, your work is and to watch you work is a complete pleasure!
love the fact that she shared so much during the video. Awesome!
The model is flawless, she's beyond beauty! BTW what a bone structure!!!
Her skin is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!!
This model is STUNNING! Beautiful make up!
this is great! When she applied the lighter orange tone on the lips I thought 'Oh shit yeah!'
great bone structure wow
The model was so wonderful at the end when she talked and laughed and was natural. Wow. Gorgeous.
LOVED her passion, knowledge, skill, personality and her voice!
You pretty much have to have flawless skin and sharp facial feature already to pull off this look. I don't think it's a universally flattering look but she's absolutely beautiful and this is a good look on her, on naturally sculpted faces generally.
Usually love Charlotte’s makeup but the contour looks very warm and muddy, especially on the forehead.
The model's eyes are hypnotizing! And Charlotte is a wonderful makeup artist, such skill! I'm so glad you uploaded that little message, otherwise I would have missed this amazing video!
Thank you for this Lisa and Charlotte!! I love to see working Makeup Artists do what they do best!! xxx
This is my new favourite look! Lisa, could you tell me what is commonly used to bleach eyebrows among the professionals?
+binboda We use professional bleaching kits which are designed to be safely used around the eye. Ordinary bleaches & dyes are not safe to be used on or around the eye area, as blindness can occur.
Could you share the brands?
+binboda check lisa's SOS BEAUTY - solutions from my pro kit video. I think she mentions the bleacher she uses in there.
If Pen Badgley was a woman, he would look like her. She's beautiful! Not a insult at all, I just see a similarity after the the base is done.
What a gorgeous look and gorgeous model. Also love her voice and smile!
Charlotte is wonderfully professional with 'insight' - feel it in my bones! What a makeup artist should - but not all do. I risk an opinion. To truly impress one needs to demonstrate the art of make up on a plain ordinary face as proof what make up can do. Applying Charlotte's skills onto a face that is already beautiful, gilding the lily is okay, but doesn't have the same impact on those that consider themselves 'plain,' ugly even. Those are the people who wish to see living-proof improvement being created under their very own eyes and what can be achieved with a bit of practice on themselves, particularly, with awesome products as those just seen how effective makeup can and will do for them. Those are the people to target, they are the ones that wish it most of all. Knowing it's all in easy reach, couldn't be an easier message for the many that are after improvement..
How do you know that girl doesn't feel plain or ugly?
kyrababieee914 Perhaps saying those who consider themselves ugly wasn't the best thing to argue. She may feel she's ordinary, but the girls in all of these videos are professional models, so it's fair to say that there is something about them which makes them 'superior in beauty' to the average person. It's a gorgeous look and amazing artistry, but the typical person does not have those massive eyes, full lips, and fantastic cheekbones. I think this was just to say that some of the purest artistry is making the average woman look and feel glamorous.
DevSæ I get what you're saying, but I disagree. I disagree that models are not "real women" or "average women" or that because someone is a model that means that they are "superior in beauty". There are models and females in general that are just really beautiful, but 8 times out of 10 models are not one of those drop dead gorgeous girls. They need tweaking. Modeling is not all about looks btw so just because someone is a model doesn't mean they look amazing. They may be amazing on the catwalk though, or amazing at modeling in general (it is a job you know;)). Just because someone is a model doesn't mean they look perfect from the start, the people that hire them find the beauty and see what they can become with make-up (a lot of times they are even chosen for the little quirky things about them) and then leave it to make-up artists (hairstylists etc.) to bring even more attention to those beautiful qualities about them. A lot of times when I watch runways and see girls with huge ears, huge gapped teeth, massive jaws etc. and I can only imagine how much they were made fun of in school and there are some girls that no matter how much make-up they have on I am just not impressed by them and they still look very average. A lot of models are not "traditionally beautiful". The beauty is brought out and it changes the way other people see beauty. Someone that comes to mind is Lindsay Wixon. Sure she's a model and now people would think she's beautiful, but it took someone to see that all her quirks were beautiful for all of us to see it. But honestly, I can only imagine how many times she must've been called butt chin, made fun of for her gap or lips etc. I have amazing skin and great cheekbones and lips, but I am still an average woman and honestly, I'm considered to be average by my peers. So just because this girl may have x amount of things working in her favor, she still has flaws, therefore she is still a great example of what make-up can do. Even here, she evened out her un-even lips and made her look much less tired and even just filling in her brows has made them stand out much more and give her a more well-rounded, less alien look. Charlotte makes this look easy, but if a novice had this girl in their chair there'd still be a million ways they could screw up the make-up and bring down the quality of her beauty. Cake face comes to mind. She does not need to do a dramatic transformation to prove her skills. And if you can't see the skill because you consider this woman too beautiful then that's a problem on your end honestly. I also question how you even know that she's never done a dramatic transformation in her many years in the industry.
Agree!
kyrababieee914 Are u stupid or blind?
Love the freckles!!!!!!! Can nc40 skintones use hodgepodge for mimicking freckles or do we need a darker colour??
Hodgepodge was discontinued :(
In the finished look, the model looks like a brunette Lara Stone! Not that surprising since Lara had a French Vogue cover with the same makeup. This was such a pleasure to watch. Lisa, I am so grateful that you're bringing the expertise of various artists to the masses!
I cannot get over how amazing the model's skin is. She's stunning! Beautiful look and thanks so much to Lisa for the incredible collaboration. :)
Shit I love it!!! Except for the freckles at the end.
What can I use to replace what Charlotte used as an eyeshadow?
A cream eyeshadow or a darker concealer than your skin maybe ?
Everything about this video is just so absolutely gorgeous.. the ladies, the look.... simply highclass!
And it's always so refreshing to see that there's so much more to make up than various smokey eyes in every imaginable colour (like others do virtually all the time).
Please do more videos featuring this makeup artist! She's FANTASTIC!
Im kinda getting from charlotte that the 90s really was the supermodel era. "Supermodel" today should just get their own title because supermodel will always be associated to the 90s
I'm gay but I want to marry that model she's beautiful!
I could watch you two all day long...such lovely voices and amazing talent
thank you, thank you Lisa and of course Charlotte.what a privilege to watch this!!!xxxx
Does anyone know the model's name? :D
cara
I think I heard Miss Tilbury call her Cara....
Cara Lewis :)
If anyone could let me know what the model's full name is I would be so grateful! Thanks
Cara Lewis. Lisa always put the model's name at the end, I really respect this attitude!
Thank you so much! There aren't many images of her on google. All I get is a load of Cara Deleviene's images but thanks again.
Yes. She is so beautiful, but so unlucky to share the name with one of the most popular model.
Agreed!
Robyn Mamba It's at the very end, last frame: Cara Lewis
I love this idea of bringing these other makeup artists! THANK YOU SO MUCH LISA!
Thank you Charlotte for sharing this look!
1:52 "She is THE beauty of our time" Really? I think that she's a beautiful young lady, I really do - but I detest the notion of their being a single face of beauty of the four billion women on this planet. I understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder; but of ALL the of the different types of beauty, it's an absurd idea. Gal Gadot, Lupita N'yongo, Zendaya, Anna Akana, Winnie Harlow, Misty Copeland, Scarlett Johansson, Ashley Graham - All of them are different types of gorgeous! 😘😘
Lily Raimey and I personally don't find Kate Moss very attractive... So I side eyed that comment as well... I don't think there is ONE beauty of our time... Especially when there are so many races that are beautiful... You can't just choose an average looking white woman and call her the beauty of our time lol. P.S white women are beautiful I just think Kate Moss is average
lisa is far superior than charlotte.
