  • Voted one of the BEST beaches in Europe, Woolacombe ticks all the boxes.
I'm not massive on beaches, generally I prefer a coastal walk or something like that but when there's a really nice beach I am partial to a swim at least, weather depending :)
We stopped at Woolacombe for 3 days kind of as a stop off to break up the 6 hour drive home. I have been to Woolacombe before when I was Josses age I think and it is quite well known for being a really good beach. It has quite a big surf scene and the wave structure is perfect for it. None of us can surf though but we did end up getting a bodyboard although I didn't get any footage of us using it. Without a GoPro or waterproof camera it's quite risky filming anything in the sea plus you just can't enjoy it as much holding a camera, I hope you don't mind lol
After Woolacombe we went to Cheddar which again breaks up the now 4 1\2 hour drive home into 2 sizeable chunks. Again, I went to Cheddar as a child and wanted to go back so I suggested we went there, looked around the caves and bought some cheese. It's like I'm reliving my childhood lol. It was great though and the gorge itself is stunning even just to drive through. Definitely a landmark worth visiting!

Thank you for another enjoyable video. My cousin holidayed in Cornwall couple of weeks ago. St Ives made the news with pictures of thousands of spider crabs on the beaches. Apparently a common occurence now with warmer temperatures.

Oh wow I haven’t heard about that. I think St. Ives is quite a popular destination a bit like Newquay and we usually avoid hot spots so haven’t been there. That’s really cool though I bet that was amazing to see.

I enjoyed your holiday videos very much. I didn't know there was a place in England called Cheddar. I feel bad that I've seen very little of my own country. We always end up traveling to the U.S. or abroad. I've only seen 3 other Canadian provinces, besides my own.

You don’t need to feel bad, there’s lots of places we’d love to go but they’re too far away really. I hope we can go to Canada at some point, I went when I was younger a few times and love it out there but it’s so expensive we’d have to save up for a while.

@@LivingTheTinyLife Oh I didn't know that you've been to Canada. I live in the Fraser Valley, which is not too far from Vancouver. Yes travel is expensive. We never really traveled much when we were younger. Too busy paying the mortgage etc.

I’ve been to Vancouver, I remember it was an 11 hour flight from London Heathrow, I think that was in 2002. We went at Easter and the snow was crazy. We also visited Banff, Jasper, Calgary, Toronto and Kelowna. I remember getting a greyhound bus from Banff to Kelowna I seem to remember it took all day but went through the mountains which was amazing. I’d love to go back one day.
