3 Years Living in a Tiny House in the UK

  • Where has 3 years gone? I remember waiting anxiously for it to arrive and having no idea what the future held.
Now though I can't imagine having it any other way. The house in itself is still as good as the day we got it, apart from needing a lick of paint on the outside.
The house has brought us such an amazing way of life that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Living in a conventional house is such a financial burden and it really makes you feel free to not have that.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed this video, if you did then don't forget to hit the thumbs up button and subscribe to our channel for more great videos every week!

The road noise ambience is great, makes for such a relaxing video. Really hope you guys continue uploading, feels homely.

You don't notice the road noise at all day to day, it's just ambient noise like you said. You only become aware of it if someone zooms past or you're trying to record audio, it's much louder outside so the house does a good job of keeping the noise down to be honest. Some of our neighbours have those old flimsy static caravans with single glazed windows, it must be much worse in there.

You are living my dream. I have looked at living tiny for years before it got popular. I hope to be in a position to do it in 7 years or less. Trying to get my all my ducks in a row before jumping into it.
I hope when the time comes I am lucky enough to find a land owner like yours that is fair. They sound great and it sounds like you have found a great location.
For now I part-time hike, tent and car camp around work and that keeps me alive until I can do the next step i.e living Tiny in a tiny house.
Really Happy I came across your video tonight.

We feel very lucky to be where we are and the land owners are so lovely. I don't think we'd ever go back to living in a normal house, we have everything we could possibly need and life is so much easier. One day we hope to have our own plot and be completely off-grid and self sustainable, that's the dream anyway :)

Thanks for the update. I see that you got your hair cut short. And I think you only used to have one dog. Glad that you're still happy in your tiny house. What are you getting a degree in?

Yep, I cut my hair and we got another dog. I'm studying Environmental Science, it's 4 years full-time and hopefully i'll have a masters degree at the end of it.

We found the ad on Gumtree and we can stay as long as they'll let us, they have residential permission somehow, no idea how they got it.

@@happydays9613 They said their father bought the land 40 years ago and has been lived on for a long time so it must've been approved a while back. It's also an old farm so it may have permission for workers or something. I'll ask next time I see them.
