- We Visited 4 English Cities at Christmas in our Campervan! Which Was the Best?
We're going on a road trip woohoo! First stop is London, then we're off to Bath, Bristol and then finally Oxford. We've planned 2 campsite stopovers, one in London and another in Bristol. We didn't fancy leaving our van parked up unattended in busy cities especially at Christmas and it can also be difficult to park anyway.
London was first and well London is London. There's something magical about it, it's a real day out and it's almost like going into a different world compared to the rest of England. Very busy, big high street shops lovely lights and all the usual stuff. We went to borough market too which was really cool, but again very busy. Digby barked at a pigeon and I lost my sandwich, but I did get a really nice mince pie to make up for it.
Bath was really nice, much smaller than London. We managed to park a 15 minute walk from the city and stay there overnight too. Not as much to see and do but it's a lovely place to be and there was a really good bakery with gluten free brownies yummy!
Bristol next, back to a big city. I have to say, Bristol seems geared towards a younger scene and a big night out, it's quite lively with lots of bars and restaurants, not really my cup of tea and it was also very busy. The Christmas markets here were literally identical to the ones in London, a bit disappointing really, it seems there's a big Christmas market agency running the show across the country and selling stuff for profits rather than having local vendors, we didn't buy anything from the markets.
Finally we went to Oxford, it's nice in Oxford, it does have a bit of a London vibe going on and it's kind of like a cross between Bath and London. No Christmas markets here although if there were they'd probably be the same rubbish ones as London and Bristol. Oxford is always a pleasant place to be though, I just wish we could find somewhere to park for the night, it's not very van friendly.

Nice to see you back have lovely Christmas been watching your Van builds videos have took step do my own van build begining of year concerted mercedes sprinter van into camper van conversion have been travelling around UK visiting different places this year like done Cotswolds and just done trip around Wales with my ten year old son Oliver I'm single parent we both love travelling in van seeing different places Jack 🤗
It's great fun, I feel lucky that we are able to do it as much as we do. We're currently parked up in Windsor for our final night then heading back home tomorrow for Xmas. I'm not sure when or where we'll go next year, we've talked about Scotland a lot but it's quite a way from home and we've also thought about France which from us is about the same distance as Scotland. I also used to sleep in the van with my son too and we used to have a lot of fun :)
@@LivingTheTinyLife Hi Dave thanks for apply back we did Windsor back in July in van lovely place to visit we really enjoyed it we keep thinking about Scotland not sure still we in Cornwall at campsite in St Austel going home next Friday me my son in van at moment as weather not great at moment he's on his x box i did copy your bed design to get oliver bed into sprinter van which has worked out well so hope there no copy right in your design lol 😂 well have lovely time in windsor Jack 🤗
@@Oliver-f1v Haha, if you need 2 beds I think it's the only way of doing it. You lose a bit of space lengthways but the design has worked really well for us too. Enjoy Cornwall! We've been there a few times, some of the roads are so narrow especially if you head to the coast, being December though they shouldn't be too busy 😃
@@LivingTheTinyLife thanks has been bit tricky on some of narrow roads having long wheel base van but it adds excitement and challenges of getting around here just say I've followed your channel long time now was where Josh was having go at grass cutting that was first one I watched that came up in my inbox at time it's just enjoy watching your channel

Not so much given up, just didn't have anything interesting to film really. I do like making videos but the commitment of making one every week when you have nothing interesting to do isn't as much fun.
