Day-Venture in Colorado: Boulder County Road 68J 4x4 Trail

- In this video, we hit up a new spot in Colorado. This trail is called Boulder County Road 68J, and it is rated at a 4 for difficulty. There is plenty of bypasses, so don't be afraid to test out your truck here.
The main purpose of this trip is to test out our new Extended Awning Bracket and the newly installed Dobinsons MRR suspension. We can confirm that even though the awning bracket sticks out quite a bit, it is still super strong and did not budge. Considering the number of ruts and bumpy terrain we encountered, I would say the brackets passed with flying colors. The newly installed Dobinsons MRR also did really well.
We had one issue with our truck making some kind of scraping noise throughout this trail. Since the only big difference we did was the long travel rear suspension, we knew it had something to do with that. We found out later after this video that the yoke on the driveshaft was shifting to one side due to the amount of travel we have in the rear now. We will definitely have to do some figuring out to see how to fix this.

great video as always
TemboTusk claims the Skottle originated in south africa in the 40s, but the discada originated in the south west and mexico in the 1800s
I believe it
"The truck's super muddy" to a clean af truck lmao
May I know what’s the name of headlight called
Hi, great video. I noticed you installed the awning maybe 2-3 inches away from the side of the iKamper. Did you do that to make sure the tent doesn’t hit the awning when open? If so, how many inches exactly did you have to push out that “L” bracket to clear it? I have the same RTT and I’d like to install an awning.
We had to make a bracket for it, not sure how far exactly it sticks out, but it’s up for sale now. Just tough with a tent that either sticks out so far, or one that opens to the side when you pair it with such a low pro rack. I know Gobi owners have no problem with this because of how tall the rack is.
This 4Runner is sickkkkk but that awning sticks out wayyyy too much. Tighter trails near me this would be very bad and get ripped up super fast.
True. We had to be aware of it when on this trail. But it's the only way we can have shade with the wide tents.
That's the loudest 4runner I've ever seen.
Was just about to read the Wheel hub cap to know the wheel brand, you masked it just nicely :-) so, i have to say and ask, nice looking wheels, what brand is it?
Hmm. They look like “Relations Race Wheels” wheels
RRW RR7’s in matte bronze -12.
@@aaaandrew Thanks Brother
Anybody know where to get the red grills with the sensor
Is the Twin air ARB front mount bracket for 4Runner available yet or still work in progress to make it commercially available?
Still workin on it…
Taco is out already…
I wanna know where to get the hitch mounted tire carrier 🙃
RIGD Ultraswing
Hey twon, you guys still carry the rigd tire rack?
How long did it take to fill up those tires?
Couple minutes with the ARB twin & Quikflate
@@aaaandrew oh sweet thats awesome! Definitely helps me out with making a decision on a compressor.
The Quikflate is pretty key too. When it comes to airing up that fast both of those put together is what makes such a fast option. 🤌
@@aaaandrew I appreciate the info it definitely helped with my decision to get the same system.
south africa
🤘🇨🇦
Why aren't you guys selling 4runner grilles?
What's the offset on these wheels?
-12 all around
@@aaaandrew thx!
Whoo, first! 😎
Your always first , we gotta stop this madness 😳
Aint you special huh?
I got the same car but not as cool.
Cool SUV first automatic transmission sucks second engine is weak, third Toyota USA totally screwed the Name Toyota up. Why Toyota was reliable vehicle Toyota being build in USA quality went out the door. If i want a buy a Japanese vehicle i wanted built by a guy name Hiroshima not someone name bubba or Hector in Mexico. Toyota is like any other car you’re lucky if you get 100,000 miles without changing components.
maybe you got a lemon? Your assumptions don’t apply to all Toyota’s nor all of the Toyota owners.
Just because it's build elsewhere doesn't mean it's not reliable. I've personally had plenty of Toyotas over 180k with no issues and currently own one. Like @homie817 said, you probably got a lemon.
