Your youtube Channel is for me one of the safest pagan Space in the Internet. Each time when I watch a video from you I feel reassured and I'm surprised to learn something new about myself at the same time:)
As a former high school teacher, I HAD to laugh! I feel like I need something like this right now. It was great to hear your thoughts and dream of gathering again...someday!
Bless your heart (lol!), trust me I get what you mean about conferences and events. Hotel conferencing is no joke, and it’s a whole other beast when it’s your daily livelihood, and you’re on the hosting side where you are supporting the people putting on the events and speaking. But there are many fun conferences and events in different fields, they’re not all boring! Pro tip: Conferences are usually business- or education-oriented and have sessions with individual presenters and guest speakers teaching or giving an expository presentation; Conventions usually have vendors, a variety of special events, panels, discussion, and tend to be focused on a particular special interest. I’d pin Pagan Gatherings as more of a Hotel Convention. I wonder if they ever need camera operators and people to edit the different events and things? Or like someone to make a Mystic South “highlight reel”…? That’d be an awesome gig, a real dream for me.
I would LOVE a Tarot video from you! LOL and I’m there with you on the collegiate Music situation… I was studying Music Education (primary instrument in Voice) and shit… lol I can’t imagine going for a Performance degree! It killed my music for a long time but I’ve recently purchased an Ukulele and want to find the fun again… lol
Man O Man. I'm glad you picked up your guitar. I'm happy for you. I'm going to dig around and find your cover of decoration day and drink to you. Drink some water and have a great week Thorn
I enjoyed taking your classes! I wanted to chat after but wanted to be super respectful of the space and not hoard your time and energy. Can’t wait for next year!
I tend to like "Convention" for the hotel-based models (the SF convention model was a thing we were riffing on, when we got Paganicon going, in Minnesota.) I've also done camping festivals, and for me, hotel-based is a lot more accessible for physical health reasons (though obviously, not so much on the money side of accessibility), so I've been really happy to see the range of options in the community grow, and I hope that continues to be the case.
I took your journaling class at Mystic South in 2019. Loved it and looking forward to taking more from you in the future. We had to pass on Mystic South this year but hope to again.
I’m a teacher lol. Haven’t taught teens in a while but will be doing so starting this year. Thinking back to my practice teaching days and your comment about the goofy stuff they won’t do def hits home. I’m looking forward to it but also not since supply sure isn’t easy lol!!
Ah. I hope you test negative soon. The numbers aren't good, like, anywhere, and there are conventions happening all over the place right now (like SDCC).
I really don’t like that phrase either, exactly for that reason. But “in person” kind of has the same problem. I sometimes use “meatspace” but I just don’t have a good word.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m so pleased to have created something like that for you! 💙

Witch Convention? Like instead of Comic-Con a Witch-Con!
Is there an event like this anywhere in the mid-west?
Yes! Convocation in Michigan and Paganicon in Minnesota!

Thank you! It was sooooo cool to see you! Next year grab me and let’s get a beverage.
I loved the cover of Death Cab you posted on IG. 😊
:< I wanted to go so badly! Wild FOMO seeing the pics posted in Kithic! It's good to know everything went well!
It was so fun, but we missed you! Another time and place, I hope!

It really was the best time!! Still reeling, reveling in the memories, and integrating what I learned.

I hope you can come next time! 💙

I had way too much fun clapping during your sessions and my spouse thought it was hilarious.
Thank you for clapping with me! 🤣
I've had that "big hotel gathering of magical people" experience. It can be very intoxicating (in a good way).
Laughing! I know those "dead haunted eyes" of teens.
I still see them when I close my eyes. 😂
I just call it a con. The con is be either convention or conference. ;)
I used to be a combat archer for an SCA group named Corvus. Awesome name.

I don’t have Covid! It’s just normal exhaustion from working.
Glad to hear that. Unfortunately, Covid is still a "thing" about which to be concerned.

Thorn, I love you and your videos, but I honestly couldn't make it past the 5 minute mark. It's okay to take a break, detach. Stay sane, sister!💗
I object to your use of "IRL" as it implies that people on the internet aren't real people.
