I'm not even a big sportsbike guy but something about that 90s era, the simplicity of design and yet such recognisable silhouettes, is really appealing.

Some of my dads 90’s bikes were awsome wish I had them now , RGV 250, ZXR 400, GSXR1100 he also had an R1, sp1, loads of mx bikes wish he was still here we had some great times riding and tinkering

@@joski9030 Same here mate. My dad didn't have any bikes in the overlap between my birth and his death, but previously he had all sorts of interesting stuff before then which I'd love to track down and find if only I had more info. Highlights include a very sketchy Dnepr sidecar rig, with the car still on the wrong side, and a Triumph Bonneville.

Totally agree, amazing bikes. I had a VFR 400 and all I can think of is having a go on an RC45 750! I bet it’s so similar in character but with a chunk more power!!

A really nice time wrapped condition GSXR 750 water cooled. They make at the back wheel on the Dyno. Between 90/95 horse power. Showing my age now back in the summer of 1993 PDQ in Taplow did a open day. Off which there was Dyno contest. I owned a 1990 GSXR 750 L. with a full Cobra RS exhaust on it. Still have the photos of it. Anyway there was a few water cooled GSXR'S put on the Dyno and did 90 to 95 with race exhausts on them. Anyway to my surprise and everyone else. My 1990 750 L won the contest. With a 100 horse power at the back where. With standard jetting. Which it was running lean. However all early GSXR'S are brilliant bikes whether they are oil cooled or water cooled. I think you can't go wrong with the one in your video 👍.

It’s crazy watching videos of 80’s and 90’s Japanese bikes still on the road over there in Europe. Here in the US I don’t those bikes are appreciated enough or have the same following. I have a 87 FZR1000 and it’s like hens teeth to find parts for it, yet I click on UA-cam and I see a bloke over there restoring and keeping them on the road.

Great stuff, finding a standard unmolested example is a rare thing indeed. It took the SRAD to get the weight back to be where it should be. I'd be wary of using a pressure washer on a motorcycle, they can play havoc with seals and electrics. Years ago my mate damaged his dream machine paint work using one.

You're absolutely right, but it all depends on the distance holding the nozzle.

Curiously, the GSXR750 wasn't the first water cooled inline four to come to the US. The Suzuki Bandit 400 came to the US a year earlier and was Suzuki's first water cooled i4. The GT750 "water buffalo" was a triple. However, I do believe the gsxr750 and GSF400 were released elsewhere around the world a year previously at the same time.

I just bought one, just like that! I've never felt like such a kid, with none of the bikes I've previously owned. And I've had quite a few top of the line 600, 750 and 1000s. I almost pulled the trigger on the new ZX10, but that thing would have chewed through my budget and mess my priorities. So I started to look for something retro. This thing is Cyberpunk, Akira cool. And that engine screams like an F1 car with the proper exhaust. 1100 is not that candy to the ears and it's not that purple. This thing is surreal, I love how the design and color aged to be such a piece of art. And about that sound: ua-cam.com/video/QKw3gCBuEY0/v-deo.htmlsi=0S-8VrzHm_YXknEv
