Me paro para aplaudir a este maestro de la guitarra. nunca pensé que podrían sacar esas melodías con una guitarra acústica. Don Felder es el único capaz de hacerlo.
It is amazing that he wrote that entire guitar part, including solo, by himself with no lyrics. Then the lyrics were added later by Henley. The universe was determined that the song had to be written.
I was born more than 20 years later after the 1977's version was released. Not many people from my generation in my country know this song. Yet I'm so happy to know this since my father is a guitarist and he used to perform this song on stage when he was young and he's still playing it now when he's 70.
I'm a huge Eagle fan and Don Felder was my crush among the Band Members back in early '80s when I was a teen... and I still do😊. Great Lead Guitarist. A simple guy that always smiles 😊.
Once a legend, always a legend! Throughout the countless ones I've seen, have hardly ever heard a better solo than one played by Mr. Don Felder himself. He remains golden at any age. Kudos to you sir!
one man got suddenly an idea and created this typical special feeling best definining music. mankind have hundred thousands of feelings, there are still many creative compositions left on this planet.
Don has superb phrasing and note choice in his soloing...not many rock players have the sort of melodic touch he has....i hope he does more writing and developing of his guitar talent because it's up there with the very best....
Hotel California...many memories is related to this song, I still in love this single, especially love Don Felder. Don Felder and Joe Walsh in this performance of the most major. With regards Don Felder of distant Ruissia, here you like to... many years
i like this song since my birthday i remember my grand two brothers sing this song ah is very best time i am from Algeria north Africa morroco and Tunisia
Don Felder in a stunning performance, with the solo of "Hotel California" on an acoustic guitar. In the early 2000s, I had the pleasure of dining at the famous restaurant on the Santa Monica Pier where the "Eagles" composed the wonderful "Tequila Sunrise" and "Lyin' Eyes". And right next to the table where they used to sit, now a historic piece where no one sits at anymore. The best Californian group, along with The Mamas and The Papas, Beach Boys and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Eagles forever! Paul Pecchio Campo Belo neighborhood - SP
Last thing I remember I was running for the door I had to find the passage back To the place I was before "Relax", said the night man "We are programmed to receive You can check out any time you like But you can never leave"
O melhor grupo californiano, junto com The Mamas and The Papas, Beach Boys e Creedence Clearwater Revival. Eagles forever ! Paul Pecchio bairro do Campo Belo - SP
I'm proud to say Hotel California was the first album I ever owned. The documentary was very interesting and at the same time disappointing. Don Felder seemed like the only band member who wasn't greedy and/or petty. Still love the music though.
That's irrelevant, hes says don and glenn where greedy people but yet he be grudged doing benefit gigs because he wasnt being paid.....that sounds just like greed to me
Well at least now he does a lot of charity events and basically wants an excuse to play anywhere despite compensation. He's a very humble man and just wanted to play music. When he got kicked out it's because he felt like nobody wanted to be around each other.
I was hoping to hear how Mr Felder came up with the lyrics because it is not only the music but the words of the song that made Hotel California famous. I interpreted the lyrics way back in 1996 which I published in a magazine (local of course). I wonder whether my interpretation of thr lyrics are true - it's about the transition of America from alcohol to drugs
I read a Don Henley interview and he said the lyrics represented their (Eagles) transition from their innocent background to the rock lifestyle of drug taking. Did Felder write the lyrics? I thought Henley and Frey did and Felder wrote the music only? Maybe I'm wrong.
@@pauly71 I really don't know who wrote the lyrics, but from what I could get of the interview, I just jumped to the conclusion that anyone from the band would know how the song came into being. Thanks for your reply
Luar biasa ente DON.. passion meet talent.. lagu sejak masa 20.tahun lalu nih--- memorable .. sangat luar byasah.. menghibur.. klass banget.. bukan kaleng kaleng ...
Forget the stats.... greatest song and band period... as far as the public is concerned. Felder was a great musician but it's the mystical lyrics that made Hotel California what is is. Very unique and revolutionary style not to mention daring. Felder in my opinion got greedy after he realized how famous this song became... he was not Mr everything as he claims....if he was then why couldn't help duplicate his success without the Eagles. Henry and Frye were the driving force behind the Eagles.
Well, ... yeah !!! maybe !! ... So the typical question can be applied here; What was first, the egg or the chicken ?? Felder brought the main theme and the other guys put some lyrics, .... so ??
It was Glen Frey and Don Henley who grabbed the credit for the song Hotel California. Felder is just a low-profile man so with Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon (original Eagles).
am the only one who likes the solo more in acoustic than in electric ?? it sounds so soulfull!!
Rajib Datta Roy ....me too
Me too
SaMe
Another factor is that Don Felder is just that good and is really under appreciated as a guitar god
Cause he play gm chord in acoustic and more soulfull with simple backing track
i never imagined the solo could sound so soulful on an acoustic wow
Check out Acoustician on UA-cam.

Me paro para aplaudir a este maestro de la guitarra.

Don Felder and Joe Walsh, my ultimate favorite Eagles member
that slide at 07:20... perfection
Sounds more like an exotic bird than something created by a guitar

5:30 here you go
This is the only song that I can listen infinite times!!!!❤️
The Best Song Ever. Felder the best and most handsome too. The others members of the Eagles got jealous of him.
Don Felder is the man ... 🎤
This is the real reason of passion meet talents...he's having fun while playing... he's onto the guitar .....just love it
i feel like if i heard this live, i’d cry happy tears!!
Such a nice guy, great career!
I didn't think that solo could get more beautiful. Less that the last double string part could be played by only one man! Impressive
Fantastic. Don Felder is 74 years old today.
Looks so much younger, very handsome man ❤
The audience could have just kept quiet and just listened to the man's acoustic guitar solo. Damn, that was so nice to listen to.
Wow ...what a classy guy!
Don Felder is great
Never imagine it would sound so much better than electric guitar ?! Gives me goosebumps... 💯❣️❣️
Lo mejor de mi época ❤ gracias por brindarme esa felicidad serán siempre importante en mi vida ❤
Don has superb phrasing and note choice in his soloing...not many rock players have the sort of melodic touch he has....i hope he does more writing and developing of his guitar talent because it's up there with the very best....
Damn! That sounds a lot better than I thought it would.
I've watched the band being interviewed a few times. No one looked nor sounded happier than Don Felder. He's a free man away from them.
Another Amazing Performance of Don Felder !
Love your guitar work Don ,Thank You for the memories,Manny Gutierrez sr.Baker City Or
Unpopular Opinion - Him singing the verse is as good as him playing the solo part.

He killed tht solo!!😍😍
Long life brother you are iconic, actually you complete the EAGLES
Holy f**. Listening to that solo part on the Probst show gave me the shivers. Damn.
Probably one of the most important songs /guitar solo in the history of music
Don Felder was Tom Petty's guitar tutor in Gainsville. That's talent for ya!
Haha! The other guitarist had some issues with his gear. Problem solved just in time for the dueling solo’s. Thanks for the upload.
Don is such a nice guy and a brilliant gitar player!!!
2019 :( he is humble.... rip glen
I'm proud to say Hotel California was the first album I ever owned. The documentary was very interesting and at the same time disappointing. Don Felder seemed like the only band member who wasn't greedy and/or petty. Still love the music though.
if he wasn't greedy then why did he hate doing benefit concerts ?
He wasn't affiliated with politics and was uninformed. He didn't feel like taking a stance for something that didn't interest him.
That's irrelevant, hes says don and glenn where greedy people but yet he be grudged doing benefit gigs because he wasnt being paid.....that sounds just like greed to me
