Yeah it's kind of like people trying to stop right in front of a semi truck they either don't understand that it can't stop as fast as they can or they just like being really close to the action.. I don't understand it either. 😂🤣😂
2:27 Having an independent front suspension made a BIG difference. The front end bounced around a lot less without the added weight of a solid axle and differential
Cool. One thing to watch for is while these are going to be dry sumped, when wet sump engines are up-side down oil can seep past the rings intot he combustion chamber - especially when hot - and be a hydraulic lock issue than can damage the engine. Where practical, it's a smart move to pull the spark plugs and spin the engine over before tying top start it.
For some of the bouncers (like at 9:50), it does not look like smoke, as it both dissipates too quickly and it's coming from the rear instead of the engine. Is it dry ice being used to keep fuel or some other component cool?
Where is 'Nasty Girl'? Somewhere in Tennessee? I feel sorry for the last contestant. He gave it his best but it sounds like his gearing was too tall. The engine bogged down
I honestly am asking myself all the time, why those rock-bouncers are not electric nowadays. is the tech not easier? and distance might not be an issue. disclaimer: I'm truly wondering. I'm no troll! promise.
Bc everyone wants to hear a big horsepower v8 screaming up a hill. And not a whirling sound. Just like drag racing, circle track racing, truck pulling etc.
People really like to put themselves in harms way it seems. Give the drivers some room at the top.... i dont understand the thought process

You're right the very first guy would have made it, except he went to the left instead of the right where the guy filming was standing

It seems to get easier for the later runners because everyone else has flattened out the course and taken out some the biggest bumps.

Nice video. Seems the organizers are taking cues from no-prep on letting people stand in places they shouldn't.

Hot coolant seeping from the radiator overflow, which are rear mounted.
Steam

His gearing was definitely too "tall" for what that engine was producing... that's for sure!
