I can agree with how cool the Albion is. In fact, when I played Gigren's Greed in PS1 (and PS3) I eventually mass produce the Albion until all mobile suit squadrons across the globe are being carried by an Albion class. And then there's the final battle of the game where I throw in all my forces at the final map, and there's an entire wall of Albion supporting the mobile suits from the back.

Ptolemaios I and II from 00 are some of my favourites. Just 251 meters long, they're smaller than what's on your list. To me, I think something like the Ptolemaios would've been the ship for most of the colonies would have early on from economic standpoint and the current facilities they have. I could imagine they use swarming tactics with mobile suits and these ships would be faster to construct and cost effective due to the smaller size while saving the bigger, slow to produced ones for long range support and as temporary flagships until even bigger ones are available compared to Earth forces that already have numerous large warships before the war starts.. The Minerva is one of the most if not the most advanced warship ever built in Cosmic Era. It can literally extend the operation time of its mobile suits by wireless beam transfer and possessing some of the most impressive firepower. Too bad that it got wasted in GSD without making to its fullest potential. The Albion looks like a proto Archangel to me, as my first Gundam was SEED, I appreciate it. Nothing's wrong with liking the original Argama, you're right about its sleekness.
Edit: forgot to add the Orb Izumo. Love that design.

I admire the Baikal-class ship, but I don't think anyone else knew the name of it
I'm joking. Ptolemaios II is also my fav. 2nd comes Nahel Argama and Minerva.

Archangel likely was redesigned from SCV-73 Blanc Rival and make it more rounder than it's UC counterpart

Minerva from Seed Destiny is great, especially the cannon setup and how they film it in the series.

If its UC timeline ships the Zanzibar cruiser class will always be the best considering how it stayed a prominent and the longest serving ship of its kind with very much room for improvement it managed to last until UC98 and still kick a55 despite being something made during the One year war till it is used by all the factions in the UC timeline the Neo Zeons, Titans, and even the federation, its so good that only 16 of them were made and only given to the elite teams and members of Zeon such teams we know and love working for the big names in Zeon Johnny RIdden, Char Aznable, Cima Garahau, Kycilia Zabi, General Mquve, and Ramba Ral, some of these ships survive and are further upgraded to even outmatch even newer classes of ships, it is the AK-47 of cruisers in the UC timeline you just can't get rid of it, its so good that it keeps getting updated and many ships were based after it because of how good it is

I don't wanna be that guy, but I'm pretty sure the Irish class ships were made to be budget versions of the Argama. They weren't made to completely replace the Salamis Kai. Notice how the Irish only has big MPCs for ship to ship combat. Large MPCs are bad for dealing with enemy MS, AA Guns are much better and the Salamis Kai at the very least had some, which I guess could be considered the one benefit the Salamis-Kai had over the Irish.. Minus Henken thinking with his ding-a-ling and moving the Radish into a bad spot, you could argue that the reason the Radish fell was because it didn't really have a sufficient way to deal with enemy MS besides escort MS from it's own squads.
I will say that the Salamis Kai from Zeta is probably my personal favorite ship. I just like the fleet filler aesthetic and the angular cube-like bridge coupled with those two cooling fins, along with that comically short but charming retrofitted catapult deck. Some other favorites of mine would have to be the often forgotten Musai-Kai, the Irish Class, and the Nelson from MSV-R.

I hate it because the proportions seem off to me, like it looks very short lengthwise like the og whitebase which is weird considering its supposed to belong in a newer iteration of the UC timeline and yet it looks goofy as heck, they make the catapult look longer during internal shots but it looks very short from the outside, the proportions just ruin it for me

    Not in particular order,
Clop class, light cruiser, simple design, seem to incorporate both Salamis class and Musai class design into it.
    Salamis Kai in Zeta era,
Alexandria class, feel like Musai class, the villain ship.
Ra Cailum class battle ship, Argama class, Irish class, The hero ships.
IBO's Hammerhead, a thick 'shield' upfront also useful for ramming. Cool.
Hate Archangel class general design (and some of the White Base like design), it have different department (hanger, engine, crew, etc) spread apart, there even 'split hull' from the underbelly view like the Star Trek's Romulan's Warbird D'deridex class, making it a bigger target, if not for Laminated Armor, it would have been sunk mid series.
Imagine you are in hanger A, and you need some parts from hanger B to fix a MS, you either have to drag those part all the way from B to middle of the ship to A or, the part is too big so open both hanger bay door and transfer outside of the ship.
Argama Class retract its bridge and living quarters before beginning of combat, make it a smaller target.
Maybe Archangel was meant to be a pure carrier plus long range canon; not ship to ship combat. Idk.
