I have not windsurfed in years but i remember how great it was when the wind was up. The speed you get up to is awesome.
Yes, I did Mach 3.6 and left London at 10 PM, had lunch in Manhattan and went to Portugal for diner. Speed is incredible. Ehm, no. It is still subsonic. Get real, that is NOT fast. Just saying.

The control that you must have with the speed and the weight of such a sail
with proper technique the sail has no weight on e youre planning its your body weigth hanging in the harness that keeps the sail from getting propelled forward by the thrust. arma are juat for small adjustments but in regular windsurf the legs are working a lot to dampen the chop amd waves. ay aind conditions favorable for windsurf generate at least chop even on a lake, that will make you bounce if your legs dont works as suspensions. but with the foils,it looks like the biard ia super stable and rider is not working as hard. also less underwater drag means smaller sail for same speed or higher speed with same effort
regular windsurf still king for very strong winds and speed world records.

Edit** there is some video trickery or something his tether pops off when he leans forward, then magically snap back on at the transition.
Regardless of what ever is happening with the tether, cool video either way.
