Kele’s voice sounds amazing and it looks like he’s enjoying himself. This new drummer is a beast too. I loved Matt’s punkness but she actually keeps everyone on time. When she sang on Blue Light that was beautiful, it’d be sweet if she did it during This Modern Love toooo
YES thank you. She's so much more professional, matt wrote some brilliant parts and laid the groundwork but he's gone and there's nothing anyone can do about it (except bitch about it). She slays it.
I'll take an energetic, creative, and expressive drummer with less-than-perfect time over a human metronome with zero stage presence any day of the week.
Is this what Russell Lissack look like now? I was completely besotted by the fella when Silent Alarm was released. I was only 15. Now...wow, he's still the ever handsome and talented guitarist as he was back then. Amazing.
they're sounding closer to the record than ever really, yeah they've lost that rushing youthful spirit but that happens with age. now they're basically click-track tight, and kele's voice still holds up. glad this show actually has a good mix, compared to other shows i've seen. they've matured like a fine wine.

Silent Alarm means so much to me...came at a real junction point in my life...i fucking love music...it's like a diary for everyone to relate to... x would be great to see them return to form with a new album...get the feeling the lead singers been through a lot emotionally...
jdgonzo1982 I couldn’t have said it better. Whenever I hear any records from Silent Alarm or the B-sides, it immediately transports me back to the teenager who would take the train to school everyday whilst listening to bloc party to block out the world. Takes me so back. I miss that kid sometimes.
I know we all love and miss Matt and no one could ever create the patterns he did, but take nothing away from Louise. She is an absolutely brilliant drummer. A++.
Silent Alarm is one of the greatest albums of all time for me. And their performance of it here was brilliant. Really took me back. I'd love for them to bring out a new album with their original sound. New band members or not. I thought the drummer and bassist nailed it
@@mattmcsherry761 matt is a genius in the studio, without a doubt. It's just that he couldn't actually play his own drumming correctly live to save his life... It sorta had it's own charm though, made the live performances more raw. But hearing someone absolutely smash the drumming live like this is beautiful.
Thanks for uploading. I'm hoping its exactly what I can expect when I see them in just over a weeks time. Kele has got his voice and energy back. Perfect ❤
Thanks as usual Alexi! We all know it's not the same energy without Matt Tong and Gordon. This was my favorite album for years! (The new additions are decent though will give them credit)
Louise was fkn amazing on hunting for witches. I need to see them live again; been hesitant since the lineup change. And truly, I like Justin better, both his super solid, soulful playing and his vocal presence. They had some energy issues, but I know how that goes. Daytime on a huge festival stage so far away from feeling the crowd. Once they started to gel, it was really nice to get a feel of the new incarnation Bloc Party. I mean, I've seen clips of them before, but they're feeling like a band now and not just four people trying to patch a hole and get the ship to shore. Thanks for posting this!
Should've kept the uncut 10 minute wait for the bonus track on the official release of Compliments so that everyone thinks they're done after 1 song as they just stand there
Best album! Here we are and modern love are best but plans is incredible too and their song Truth. Kele is genius. And amazing. Their guitarist is a beast and matt wrote and played some insane shit not to mention the bass. Glad they sound this good so man years later. Love BP!
Okay, but comments section -- can we talk about what a masterwork of album track ordering it is that Silent Alarm is a satisfying emotional journey both forwards and backwards?
Louise won me at Plans drumming. Holy fuck Matt Tong can bow to that for sure. Those drum fills and hi-hat change is something uniquely BP especially with this album. Bassist also nailed it.

So accurate

You like her voice check out her and Russell’s band NovaCub!!!
Matt kept them on time too, she just lacks the energy of a powerhouse drummer and plays the songs more like a machine, thats not a good thing
@@KickenItOldSchool I'm a big fan of Matt, but she has better time than him. Do agree Matt brought more energy though.

Him and kele have hardly changed
Look up the Premier Guitar Rig Rundown of these guys from 7 years ago. Seems like Russell's been hitting the gym haha
I miss that crazy asian that used to play the drums like there was no tomorrow
Tong was a beast
Definitely downgraded on drums
Check out his new band: Algiers!

one of their very best. that and tulips deserve more love
One of my favorites by them!
i love this song

Thanks for uploading this! Saw them in Portugal in 2007, 2012 and 2016, it was always amazing, hope it happens again soon :)

exactly, she's absolutely holding it together.
And her backup vocals on Blue Light are beautiful!!

Unpopular opinion..Four is the best Bloc Party album. Certainly has the best mixing and production for me.
I'm loving this Silent Alarm Tour but I want a new album with the new lineup already!
I should call my mother, but for this I have to stop the music. I CAN'T!!
