I did it in 28 turns.. My setup and level was: 1. Hendrik(74) & Jade(72): Jade use Pink Typhoon/Multistrike, Hendrik Double-Edged Slash 2. Veronica(74) & Serena(70): Weaken the octo for about 800-900 HP then have Veronica use Channel Anger and Magic Burst 3. Erik(75) & Sylvando(74): Focus on the box, use Divide and Critical Acclaim whenever you have the chance.. Sylvando buff Erik's agility for faster turn.. After the box dies, have Sylvando use Gold Rush so the enemies will die at the same time 4. Hero(77) & Rab(73): Spam Gigagash.. Have Rab use Pearly Gates, heal when necessary..

All characters at 99, I did it in 18 turns, with this set up and strat: 1. Hendrik (Greatsword) + Rab (Heavy wands); Hendrik uses unbridled blade on shade while Rab does Kacrackle 2. Hero (Dual Swords)+ Jade (Spear); Hero uses sword dance on octopot and then gigagash when backup appears, Jade multifeet/thrust and then pink tornado when backup appears 3. Erik (Dual boomerangs) + Sylvando (knives); Oomphle on Erik, then gold rush the rest of the time. For Erik, Divide then double down and then repeat. (Might need to use cobra + victimizer on Pandora's Big Bad Box) 4. Serena + Veronica (BOTH pepped); Use Mighty Magic Burst Pep power (both should be able to use it), and it should 1-hit KO everything
It didn't work for me. Your strat was working good until the very end. The pep power didn't kill them and then I was screwed because I had no mp for my chars. I don't have everyone at 99 yet.. Veronica is 99 but Serena is only 92.
Thanks! I finished it in 23 turns with your method. I saved a few turns at the end since my Hendrik did 1100 damage with his Berserker's Blade +3. I also forgot to learn Gigigash before I started, but Brightsplitter worked just as well.

This guide is what finally got me through it. I made some modifications to the last fight though, since I had Hendrik spec'd with axe and hero with greatsword and didn't feel like switching. Took a bit longer, but still got it in 29 moves on the first try. Thanks!
Try the first battle with Serena and Rab’s instant group death spells. If you are lucky you can end it in 1-2 turns and then keep the teams of this video (with Veronica and Jade in the second one.). Otherwise repeat the first battle and restart if it doesn’t work. I did it in 23 moves.

I know I'm 2 years late but for anyone that is reading this: is pretty easy to leveling, use haulellujah in a group of minions, then use electrolight, most of the time will spawn metal slimes until lv70, metal slimes and liquid metal slimes until 80 and both + king metal slime after 80, kill them and level up a lot of levels, some tips to be faster, save before each battle in case of metal slimes not showing (reset), give jade some pep pip for insta pep up, and use rab pep power Dirger of Dundrasil to make the slimes sleep cuz then like to run a lot
I've found things go faster with Erik and Sylv if you equip him with twin Boomerangs. Then use Divide, have Syl cast Oomphle on him then use Double Down on the Pandora's Box. Then when Master Pang summons reinforcements, have Sylv keep using Gold Rush while Erik keeps using Divide/Double Down on the box. The attack hits all enemies regardless and eventually takes them all out at once. For the last battle, I went in with Veronica and Serena already pepped and had them use Mighty Magic Burst.

Erik and Rab: Erik Divide and Critical Claim (Duel-Wielding Boomerangs), Rab Sap on the giant box and heal spells 4. Veronica and Serena (both Pepped Up): Veronica Channel Anger, Serena Mighty Magic (Pep Power), Veronica uses an Elfin Elixir, Serena Omniheals, Veronica uses Kasizzle (or whichever is the strongest AOE fire spell)
Still trying to beat this but I have a method that could work. Farm gold by going to the First forest whale way station and have Erik steal devilry drinkers from the hooper dupers that are found there (Devilry drinkers sell for 30000 gold each). Then head to reformed Cobblestone (If you've done it of course) and head to the shop and buy 2 pep pops, giving one to The Luminary and one to another party member in a separate group of four. Then head into a random battle and put the enemies to sleep then have the Luminary use the pep pop and you and your 3 allies will be pepped up. Then switch to the other four party members and have one of them use a pep pop and then flee the battle. Head to the Field and save at the priest found there so that if you fail the challenge and your party isn't pepped up anymore you can load the save and everyone will have maximum pep again. Then enter the battle with this line up: Hendrik (Greatsword equipped) and Jade. have Jade use pink tornado and Hendrik use Unbridled Blade specifically on the Shadeshifter until it dies. Then Veronica and Serena. I usually just say screw it to that squid battle because it's annoying so I'll likely just use the Mighty Magic Burst pep power and kill the little bugger right then and there before his friends show up. Then Erik and Sylvando. Have Erik use Divide and Sylvando use Gold Rain. Then when the reinforcements enter, use critical claim on the Pandora's Big Bad Box and have Sylv use gold rain again until the other enemies are taken out. I have Erik with boomerangs equipped so if Sylv doesn't kill the other three monsters that come in I'll likely use double down as well as gold rain just to make sure of it. Then Rab (Claws equipped) and the Luminary for the last battle. Right of the bat, Solar Flair to get a lot of damage in and then just spam Gigagash and Pearly Gates. Haven't tried it yet and the method might not work. I have the Luminary set up with a Supreme Sword of Light +3 and a Hypernova Sword +3 (you have no idea how long it took for me to improve those) and two power armlets so his damage is as high as it can be with swords. I get stuck on the first battle every now and then because the miasma uses dazzle which just throws my strategy right out the window and it takes ages to even land a hit. When it uses dazzle I usually quit the trial and then redo it and hope it doesn't use dazzle. Edit: My strat worked lol
Honestly hated these. Finding the right setup for the encounters - fine; being trapped in an infinite loop of forever respawning enemies because you don't - I did not consent to this.
Man it got to the point where I just got Veronica and Serena pepped up beforehand and then just completely murked that fucking octopot in one move. I was done!!
I did it in 20 turns My methods were the same as in the video but the thing that really cut down on turns was having erik use boomerangs instead of knives. I had him use divide, then I had sylvando use oomphle on him. After that I used double down and everyone was defeated in 3 turns. Also, have the hero dual wielding supreme sword of light and hypernova sword for best results in final trial.
This worked for fights 1, 2, and 4 for me. For fight 3 I had Erik use divide, slyvando use thats amore, then erik critical claim on the box and slyvando gold rush repeatedly until done. Everyone should be pepped before you begin too
What I would suggest assuming you're around level 60 and lack magic burst is this. Try to get everyone pepped up for the extra stats and save before starting. 1: Serena and Rab. Instant death spells. Retry until you get them in 1 or 2 turns. 2: Veronica and Hendrik. Killing the squid kid before the reinforcements arrive would be ideal, but I assume you lack the numbers for that. Hendrik should focus on the tanky octo with Gyrfalcon slash/Unbridled blade while Veronica buffs up in preparation for her strongest Explosion spell, which will hopefully annihilate everything with some crits and a double cast. 3 and 4 are up to you but I think it should go like this 3: Erik and Sylvando. Eric handles the Mimic while Sylvando finishes everything off with Gold Rush. Again, would be ideal if you could kill it before reinforcements arrive, but I'm assuming you lack the numbers for that. Be sure to equip something for sleep and confusion resistance. 4: Hero and Jade. Just spam your strongest all hitting moves until everything dies. Throw a re-vanp in there if you wish. These two are pretty strong so they shouldn't die, and they each should deal about 300 damage to each enemy so the reinforcements shouldn't be a problem. I did it at around level 60 and I dropped the ball pretty hard on the 4th fight but I still managed to do it under the turn limit. Just keep at it and it'll work. That greatsword is the best one in the game and is super worth it.
@@craig581 Yeah, the 3rd match is pretty much the worst. 2nd and 4th should be guaranteed to work, and the 1st can be easily repeated until you get it right, but the third is the real gamble. Just equip the best status effect resistance items you have and hope for the best. Make sure Erik is using a swords build so he can quickly kill the mimic.
If i may add .just attack hard with jade on the juggling monster then use kamakazi and prey Then with eric usedivine and omph with silv follow by boomerage double down
I found this video because I'd had enough. Two things I did slightly differently were have Sylvando use Pink Pirouette rather than Gold Rush because I was broke and I went into Round Two with Serena and Veronica already pepped up, because no. I was done at this point.
you really do have to do it like this if you dont kill the first party all at the same time you get a million enemies and if you dont kill the second group in two moves you get a million enemies i have tried every other way and this is the only way also i found going around and getting everyone pepped up or using the pep pop or pepper helps too even veronic at lvl 99 with the best gear you can build still has to use channel anger before magic burst for the one hit it actually seems like a little bit of luck plays in beating the final wheel in less than 30 moves i havent even tried the secret trial yet.....

@@alzul2659 I platinated the game, so i finished the last trial at the end of the playthrought, After all the characters arrived at lv.99. At least Veronica must has Magic Burst (powerful magic that consume all the MP)
I did this and i get it in less than 20 movements! Round 1: Sylvando and 8th Character -Pink tornado and strongest ability Round 2: Rab and Jade -First buff the magic with rab and later strongest magic, and with Jade pink tornado Round 3: Heroe and Erik -Strongest ability and Posion / Victim attack Round 4: Serena and the best girl (need pep) Magic explosion ( im not sure is this is the correct name of the attack but its a pep that uses all your PM but deal a lot of DMG)
By the way for the last fights, you can kill the Mage(guy who revives the two big guys if they die) and she won't bring more enemies to the battle. So I did that and just lowered their HP to red and one shot them like that.
For Erik and Sylvando you can put enough Agility on Erik in order to have him go a second time before she summons any monsters and do that battle in just 3 turns.
For Serena Veronica, My characters were 60ish, so I used her pep power to hit him for 3k anyway. What you need to do do enough damage with Serena's help so by turn 3 or 4 you can one shot everything with their pep power.
A question: how good is Number of skill points gained in the 2nd half of the lv.up? In DQVIII After a certain level (i don't remember what) you gain only 1 skill point for every lv up.. It's the same in DQIX?
Ya know it's weird I actually works in the complete opposite way Around the 50s to 80s each character was getting 6-9 skill points It starts falling off at much higher levels and you don't get that many at all between 1 and 20
oh wow, I never knew the shadshifter in rd 1 had 2200 hp. I always killed that group with instadeath spell (kathwack??) Is this game set to draconian? The rd2 minions only have about 700 hp.

Nothing compared to getting the jackpot in roulette. Since I started counting (which was about 10 hours after starting) I've failed over 4,500 times.

Cobra strike would not envenom Pandora's Box on my go, instead I used Erik's divide then critical claim to kill it, then proceeded with gold rush.

This worked for fights 1, 2, and 4 for me. For fight 3 I had Erik use divide, slyvando use thats amore, then erik critical claim on the box and slyvando gold rush repeatedly until done. Everyone should be pepped before you begin too

What I would suggest assuming you're around level 60 and lack magic burst is this. Try to get everyone pepped up for the extra stats and save before starting.
1: Serena and Rab. Instant death spells. Retry until you get them in 1 or 2 turns.
2: Veronica and Hendrik. Killing the squid kid before the reinforcements arrive would be ideal, but I assume you lack the numbers for that. Hendrik should focus on the tanky octo with Gyrfalcon slash/Unbridled blade while Veronica buffs up in preparation for her strongest Explosion spell, which will hopefully annihilate everything with some crits and a double cast.
3 and 4 are up to you but I think it should go like this
3: Erik and Sylvando. Eric handles the Mimic while Sylvando finishes everything off with Gold Rush. Again, would be ideal if you could kill it before reinforcements arrive, but I'm assuming you lack the numbers for that. Be sure to equip something for sleep and confusion resistance.
4: Hero and Jade. Just spam your strongest all hitting moves until everything dies. Throw a re-vanp in there if you wish. These two are pretty strong so they shouldn't die, and they each should deal about 300 damage to each enemy so the reinforcements shouldn't be a problem.
I did it at around level 60 and I dropped the ball pretty hard on the 4th fight but I still managed to do it under the turn limit. Just keep at it and it'll work. That greatsword is the best one in the game and is super worth it.
First two were perfect. The 3rd option i lost due to sleep and the box critiing. What BS eh lol.
@@craig581 Yeah, the 3rd match is pretty much the worst. 2nd and 4th should be guaranteed to work, and the 1st can be easily repeated until you get it right, but the third is the real gamble. Just equip the best status effect resistance items you have and hope for the best. Make sure Erik is using a swords build so he can quickly kill the mimic.

I found this video because I'd had enough. Two things I did slightly differently were have Sylvando use Pink Pirouette rather than Gold Rush because I was broke and I went into Round Two with Serena and Veronica already pepped up, because no. I was done at this point.

you really do have to do it like this if you dont kill the first party all at the same time you get a million enemies and if you dont kill the second group in two moves you get a million enemies i have tried every other way and this is the only way also i found going around and getting everyone pepped up or using the pep pop or pepper helps too even veronic at lvl 99 with the best gear you can build still has to use channel anger before magic burst for the one hit it actually seems like a little bit of luck plays in beating the final wheel in less than 30 moves i havent even tried the secret trial yet.....

I platinated the game, so i finished the last trial at the end of the playthrought, After all the characters arrived at lv.99.
At least Veronica must has Magic Burst (powerful magic that consume all the MP)

I did this and i get it in less than 20 movements!
Round 1: Sylvando and 8th Character
-Pink tornado and strongest ability
Round 2: Rab and Jade
-First buff the magic with rab and later strongest magic, and with Jade pink tornado
Round 3: Heroe and Erik
-Strongest ability and Posion / Victim attack
Round 4: Serena and the best girl
(need pep) Magic explosion ( im not sure is this is the correct name of the attack but its a pep that uses all your PM but deal a lot of DMG)

Wow, you're not into DQ since you can't even remember Hendrik's name or abilities/pep powers. And I also assume you don't play on Draconian quest.
By the way for the last fights, you can kill the Mage(guy who revives the two big guys if they die) and she won't bring more enemies to the battle. So I did that and just lowered their HP to red and one shot them like that.
For Erik and Sylvando you can put enough Agility on Erik in order to have him go a second time before she summons any monsters and do that battle in just 3 turns.
For Serena Veronica, My characters were 60ish, so I used her pep power to hit him for 3k anyway. What you need to do do enough damage with Serena's help so by turn 3 or 4 you can one shot everything with their pep power.

A question: how good is Number of skill points gained in the 2nd half of the lv.up?
In DQVIII After a certain level (i don't remember what) you gain only 1 skill point for every lv up..
It's the same in DQIX?

I actually works in the complete opposite way
Around the 50s to 80s each character was getting 6-9 skill points
It starts falling off at much higher levels and you don't get that many at all between 1 and 20
75 % of the total skillpoint are obtained after lvl 50
The game basically forces you to farm for skills seeds to completely get all your skills filled out when you max out at lvl 99
oh wow, I never knew the shadshifter in rd 1 had 2200 hp. I always killed that group with instadeath spell (kathwack??) Is this game set to draconian? The rd2 minions only have about 700 hp.

My Erik has better stats and better gear but hes not doing that much damage with victimiser. What am I doing wrong

I can’t get passed round 2 because Veronica can’t kill the abyss octopus with a powered up magic burst and then the abyss octopus used The death defying dance. I’ve tried so many times and it won’t die.Veronica- level 71 Eternity set and eternity staff
Try another team comp, the one in this video isnt optimised at all , and a bit of grinding will help
