guys looks like I made some mistakes, The Traveller's hood: you can found this in Gallopolis church cabinet Gondolia Shop Stall: you can drop the price to 1k gold if you talk to both brother stalls back and forth in gondolia (first stall is in this video and 2nd stall is on the west side of the city) Thank's to Great RNG and Inmunex ZX for the feedback!
Jades Warrior Princess one, would say the Bunny one but i play FF14 and theres a f**king infestation of bunny girls and MEN right now... also, Veronicia's stellar outfit is too damn cute, i love the wings on it, she looks like a bee-girl :)
Except for the 10 level boost all of those and more are in the grade shop leading into NG+ for free not that it excuses them trying to nickle and dime people.
18:30 is a reference to stella from dragon quest 9 im glad they acknowledge that game, its one of the most forgettable of the series but one of my favorites i hope they make a remake soon
I wish the amulet that the seer gives to veronica would've been an item that would alter her appearance when equipped. Alas, it was only used for the cutscene.
@@serious.business A lot of people try to Platinum these games, including myself. There will be a lot of work that will go into this trophy--It will be a grind for sure so yes, it will definitely provide a sense of accomplishment to those going for the Platinum.
@@serious.business Tbf, I agree. While it is fun to do stuff like this in video games, I wouldn't necessarily compare it, to being a level of "pride and accomplishment". Too much of a far stretch lmao
To also add for Hendricks second costume. You can also get his armor in Act 2. It’s in Gondolia, the brothers are trying to sell the armor for a lot of gold, but you can haggle them down to only paying I believe 5000 for it. Considering it’s early Act 2 (kinda) that armor is good for a while
I like how the swimsuits are identical in appearance and the only difference between them - stat-wise - is the more expensive one gives more charm. /sarc
@@night00glider you have to actively cast a spell that charms them even then it'll last a few turns at best or a direct physical attack knocks them out of it.
Yeah, I also got it for 2k.. once the bigger brother lower the price to 1k is the time to buy it cause the price from skinny bro will stay at 2k and when going back to big bro he'll raise it back to 2k as well.. still way better than the original asking price!
To be fair though, the post game took me around 40-45 hours to beat and I didn't 100% the game. So it is after you beat the main game, but there is plenty of game left after the credits roll the first time.
Hey just letting you know you don’t get the Drasilian Armor during post game. It can be made and used through out the game if you cut to Snilfheim before going to the academy. There’s platinum ore over there lots of it.
Jades Divine Bustier costume can be bought for 20k gold coins! Yikes don't make people actually buy it for 980k what... Just like the cat suit, where you talk to each merchant back and forth, keep doing it for this outfit, until he drops it to 20k.
Caleb Franklin i just got to that point in the story the merchant is selling it for 12K. Glad i havent bought it yet. So i can just keep talking to her ad she'll lower the price?
guys looks like I made some mistakes, The Traveller's hood: you can found this in Gallopolis church cabinet Gondolia Shop Stall: you can drop the price to 1k gold if you talk to both brother stalls back and forth in gondolia (first stall is in this video and 2nd stall is on the west side of the city) Thank's to Great RNG and Inmunex ZX for the feedback!
Is the Dotty set missable? I'm postgame now and I didn't realize I could get the set in Puerto Valor, but the guy's not there. Did I screw up my playthrough?
Hendrik's Armor set can also be bought in Gondolia at the Brothers Shop stall before you fight the final boss before post game. Cat Hood: Gondolia at Armor shop, and Cat suit from the Brothers Shop stall before part 2 of the game
Thank you for this, this will definitely be useful. I'm about 40 hours into the game, and I will say, I'm pretty confused as to the layout of the game. It's rare I will get a game and play it when it's new, and not having specific guides to follow. Still, it's been a lot of fun, and there have been a few challenges. My biggest negative critique, is the main characters hair. Ugh it's so terrible, and I hate having to look at it so much.
The game is confusing? It's like every other Dragon Quest lol. It literally holds your hand and tells you what to do, you can open the world map to navigate areas and if you talk to your party at a campsite or during party talk they'll literally tell you what to do next if you forget or get stuck. And I've had the game since it came out and have used the guide on gamerguides, it's a really good guide.
Wow! Thanks for this guide! I'm late to playing the game obviously, but this guide helped me make a huge important decision: to SKIP trying to get all the bloody outfits LOL. I'm not one to go for the platinum trophy anyway, but I have loved DQ11 so much, MUCH due to it not being a micro-transaction laden POS while still having an amazing story and fun quests (I'm sitting at 150+ hours so far), that I almost went for that insane achievement. Thanks again for the guide, especially where you can get the materials- SO useful.
You can pit the brothers against each other for the costume items in Gondolia. You just go back and forth and they outbid each other. I bought 1 of Hendix's costumes for 5k I think. Started much higher.
the regular black armor he wears for the beginning of the game. Once you dock at Gondolia, after getting Sylvandos ship back after the World Tree falls, you go up the first flight of stairs on your right hand side after entering Gondolia, and the guy should be in front of one of the stalls there. He mentions talking about going to him for stuff instead of his brother, plus selling the armors the only thing he does at that point
Thank you, RadeeVon. This trophy wasnt too bad, it did suck at times but there was a DQ11 website that showed some items sold at certain camps or easy sparkly drops which made it much easier than farming for certain ones here. The casino was okay for me. nothing crazy, was able to autosave/load until i got what i needed. Thank you for this guide.
I can't say I dislike the costume variety this time around, but once again Dragon Quest does the thing I hate most about appearance-altering gear in RPG's, or rather they DON'T do the thing they really SHOULD be doing with cosmetic armor choices; If there are going to be cosmetic armors/appearance chances then they should be separate from actual armor, so you can "look" how you want without having to deal with crap gear. 3 perfect examples; Diablo III and it's transmute (make any EQ look other unlocked EQ), a dedicated "fashion" system as in Tales of Berseria, or the option of equipping gear in it's own "Fashion Gear" slots as in Xenoblade Chronicles X. That last option would be perfect for DQ games I think, as certain equipment must be equipped in sets in order to alter appearance, and also because the Fashion Gear system also requires you to actually HAVE the gear in order to equip it and achieve the desired look in the first place.....
Back when DCU online came out (only played it for like a week) if I remember correctly there was an actual armour slot and the vanity slot where you could put the armour you had in your inventory into and the stats from the actual armour would stay and the outward appearance would change,
I've got to say, I've only played XI - S, but... *_YIKES._* There's literally no differences for any of the upgraded outfits, meanwhile everything's different in S. Although, I don't know why, but I didn't get the Stellar set, & that *_REALLY_* upsets me, because my first & favorite Dragon Quest is IX, so I'm gonna have to make sure I just fucked up instead.
So the name of Minerva set was retained but the one called "Athena set" in the original was changed to "Sacred set"! I was confused about it in the Japanese version because they're same goddesses. And the recipe of Minerva set is also called "Recipe of the costume of Venus' goddess" (they have different words for the planet and the goddess Venus in Japanese). So "Thank Goddess" they've changed the name!
Funny. Following this video you wouldn't get Hendrik's Armor until after beating all of act 2 but I had the guy wearing it for almost all of act 2. You can get it MUCH sooner in Gondolia by talking to the brothers you get the Cat Suit and Divine Bustier from.
Who and why would they give it a thumbs down?... anyway love the video. Did you play/ record in 4k? I guess I have to get 4k tv and ps4 pro truly play like it read meant to lol
Bonza The Bear I agree with you on that one, I think it just fits better on her like that, not everything has to be more revealing to make it better looking!
Nope, she had the shorts in the Japanese version as well. I'm glad there wasn't the usual Western puritanical censorship this time. ua-cam.com/video/wqSiA_kzGnU/v-deo.html
I just bought the cat suit at the armor shop in Gondolia before post game, but after the tree fell. I'm on my way by ship out of Puerto Valor sailing to the east and decided to stop by Gondolia along the way, they offered the cat suit for 1k gold and I bought it. I'd gotten the cat head way before, don't remember when anymore. The two brothers are currently offering me Hendrik's general outfit or something, so huh.
well, considering that half of the games story is "post game" its not as bad... who only plays till he sees the credits should not have bought the game in the first place
I farmed for 2 kaleidocloth easily within 30 minutes fighting glacial golems in frozen fjord with Erik equipped with two accessories Pirate King's Pendant and Bunny Tail :)
*Divine bustier can be bought so much cheaper* after you talk to the merchant (the tough one that appears in video) you need to talk to the top merchant that is near stairs (i think dont appears in the map like a merchant but is going top side by the stairs near him), and he gives you a discount, then you turn back and talk again with the first merchant, then he gives you another discount , repeat this one time and another until you can get it for 5000 or 20000 dont remember exactly xd.
And the last one is Jacqueline's costume from DQ7 (strictly speaking it's the version of her costume from Caravan Heart which I'm not sure about if had been released outside of Japan).
Honestly by this time, I expected all of the Armor to be modeled, just like the weapons have been in older games.. In that respect, this isn't much different than DQ8 for the PS2, which came out in 2004. In fact if you play a ps2 emulated dq8 in 1080p (Highly recommended method if you want to play DQ8 again), with at least 2x internal resolution, the character models and animations aren't too far off in quality from the newer version.
Idk if ya'll know, but your able to talk back and forth with the brothers in Gondolia to make their prices lower. I got the cat head for veronica for like 1000g instead of 12000. The same goes for Hendricks armour (you really shouldn't buy it though) and divine bustier
If you're looking for technicolor cloth and colorful cocoons. I found the technicolor cloth on on the southern hotto whale station, and colorful cocoons in Laguna di gondolia whale station.
Spirit of Vengeance close, they were aiming for a form of consistency on both sides of the pacific, since the Royals were named for Stones, it is kinda jarring for odd man out feel for our kicking Princess...

also, Veronicia's stellar outfit is too damn cute, i love the wings on it, she looks like a bee-girl :)
i like hendriks general set because it makes me think of alucard from castlevania
Azz The Stickman the stellar outfit is a reference to a character in DQIX and just brought back some nostalgia
A complete product where you get to buy and unlock stuff in-game. How rare.
True. Now is rare...nowadays young folks LOVE spend money on DLC.....
Tales of - games best example: Buy +10 Lv ups for 3,99€
+ 1000 HP permanent 4,99€
Double money for 1,99€
Double EXP for 1,99
🙈
Except for the 10 level boost all of those and more are in the grade shop leading into NG+ for free not that it excuses them trying to nickle and dime people.
But really though... I would pay money to get a trunks skin from dragon ball z
Back in my day, having alt. costumes was already included...I'm still in my 20's. The times they are a changin. :(
18:30 is a reference to stella from dragon quest 9
im glad they acknowledge that game, its one of the most forgettable of the series but one of my favorites
i hope they make a remake soon
Yeah me too, it was my first dragon quest game! Brings back lots of nostalgia for me
.
First and favorite. Dragon Quest 8 is my second
You are right
I feel u bro it's my fav game too
Jade & Erik's costumes look the best and coincidentally are my two fave characters
Jade is my favorite character 😘
I wish the amulet that the seer gives to veronica would've been an item that would alter her appearance when equipped. Alas, it was only used for the cutscene.
Unlocking all these costumes will give a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Hahaha!
too much just take my money and DLC it lol jk...hell naw
If this is what gives you pride and a sense of accomplishment, you have a very sad life, my friend.
Too much of a far stretch lmao
jade looks good in everything
To also add for Hendricks second costume. You can also get his armor in Act 2. It’s in Gondolia, the brothers are trying to sell the armor for a lot of gold, but you can haggle them down to only paying I believe 5000 for it. Considering it’s early Act 2 (kinda) that armor is good for a while
The Cat Suit and Divine Bustier can be haggled between the two brothers in Gondolia.
Nice call-out to Haggleton from Dragon Quest 6 😊
I talked to someone that gave me the cat suit for 10,000 gold
There is absolutely nothing "scandalous" about that swimsuit.
I like how the swimsuits are identical in appearance and the only difference between them - stat-wise - is the more expensive one gives more charm. /sarc
@@OuroborosChoked isn't charm meant enemies can't attack, so basically enemies were charmed by her sexiness, isn't that good (battle wise)
@@night00glider
Barely useful.
@@night00glider you have to actively cast a spell that charms them even then it'll last a few turns at best or a direct physical attack knocks them out of it.
You should see the bunny suit mods and dancer outfit mods on vortex lol that's what you call scandalous.
Also Veronica's cat suit costume can be bought for 2k gold when you first arrive at Gondolia.
What I got 10k
Yeah, I also got it for 2k.. once the bigger brother lower the price to 1k is the time to buy it cause the price from skinny bro will stay at 2k and when going back to big bro he'll raise it back to 2k as well.. still way better than the original asking price!
@@camilleonz558 i was also offered 9-10k....Am i missing something?
This was a really top notch video you put together. Recipes, where to get ingredients and the plans as well as a little video. I mean, damn.
All my favorite outfits I can get AFTER I beat the game. Grrreeeaaaaaat...
Thanks for the guide though.
I love how organized your list is, please do more!! Keep it up!!
So much for getting sylvando out of that clown outfit.
Just wanted to let you know that this video is still helping someone 5 years later. Thank you for doing God’s work 🙏🏽🙌🏽
You saved me with that Traveler’s Hood update!!!
Jades Divine Bustier costume can be bought for 20k gold coins! Yikes don't make people actually buy it for 980k what...
Just like the cat suit, where you talk to each merchant back and forth, keep doing it for this outfit, until he drops it to 20k.
you're absolutely right, and thank you for the info!
If you keep going, they'll drop the price to 1k
Same guy sells Hendriks Armor after Yggdrasil falls.
=o whoops, I bought the cat suit for the full 10k
Caleb Franklin i just got to that point in the story the merchant is selling it for 12K. Glad i havent bought it yet. So i can just keep talking to her ad she'll lower the price?
guys looks like I made some mistakes,
The Traveller's hood: you can found this in Gallopolis church cabinet
Gondolia Shop Stall: you can drop the price to 1k gold if you talk to both brother stalls back and forth in gondolia
(first stall is in this video and 2nd stall is on the west side of the city)
Thank's to Great RNG and Inmunex ZX for the feedback!
Amazing guide nonetheless. Thank you.
Still love you though its okay, this is super helpful. Share more tip if you have any in the future THANKS
Can't express in words how happy I am for this. Thanks a bunch for this. I am truly grateful to you.😊
Still the best video on youtube. Don't sweat it. If you've seen the others, that minor mistake is fine.
Cat Hood: Gondolia at Armor shop, and Cat suit from the Brothers Shop stall before part 2 of the game
the game REALLY needs more outfits
Name another game that has just as much characters and each having more attire to wear than this game. not including dlc.
Especially since several are the same outfit.
@@wonder777warrior6 Dragon's Dogma. Dragon Age. Any of the 'Tales' series of games...I could go on. 😂

Wow a straightforward guide. I’m subbing.
lol I like that one of sylvando's costumes is kefka
And Erik’s swindlers set resembles Locke lol
that has been bugging me a while, i KNEW it was familiar! well, BOTH of them :D
This game has a lot of FF6 callbacks
the Square influence is strong here and i have no problem with that... *coughtifaoutfitforjadecough*
Thanks for this guide!!
I didn't knew i missed so many outfits.
This video guide is utter fantastic. Thx a bunch for putting this together.
My favorite is erdwins set... I love this 80s 90s vibe of it
Thanks for the video. I got the platinum trophy thanks to you! 🎉🎉
How you platinum this game so fast? Lol. Btw what's the hardest trophy to get?
Haha my Platin is 4 days faster 😄
DarkSashMan what no way 😭
JT_Alpha Fast? It wasn’t fast, it felt like forever o.o Lol.
@@AnnalinaSR21 I needed 150 hours.. blind run and no helps..
My fav costume is Jade's Minerva set. Looks different to the warrior princess's set in my game though. looks more evil.😉
I hope Dragon Quest XII have character creation and every piece of armor show on they characters.
I got the platinum! I'm finally done, thank goodness. I loved this game, but I'm glad to be moving on.
You can pit the brothers against each other for the costume items in Gondolia. You just go back and forth and they outbid each other. I bought 1 of Hendix's costumes for 5k I think. Started much higher.
I got Hendriks armor super early by buying it off of a merchant in Gondolia after getting Sylvandos ship back mid game
Viperphoenix which one
the regular black armor he wears for the beginning of the game.
Viperphoenix oh I thought you meant getting the ship for the first time lol mb
nah, Hendrik is late game new party member, he's the last guy you get
Viperphoenix dope can’t wait to bench jade for him
Thank you, RadeeVon. And how about this list so that no one has to go thru the whole video (and PLEASE, feel free to correct it):

This trophy wasnt too bad, it did suck at times but there was a DQ11 website that showed some items sold at certain camps or easy sparkly drops which made it much easier than farming for certain ones here.
The casino was okay for me. nothing crazy, was able to autosave/load until i got what i needed.
Thank you for this guide.
I can't say I dislike the costume variety this time around, but once again Dragon Quest does the thing I hate most about appearance-altering gear in RPG's, or rather they DON'T do the thing they really SHOULD be doing with cosmetic armor choices; If there are going to be cosmetic armors/appearance chances then they should be separate from actual armor, so you can "look" how you want without having to deal with crap gear. 3 perfect examples;
Diablo III and it's transmute (make any EQ look other unlocked EQ), a dedicated "fashion" system as in Tales of Berseria, or the option of equipping gear in it's own "Fashion Gear" slots as in Xenoblade Chronicles X. That last option would be perfect for DQ games I think, as certain equipment must be equipped in sets in order to alter appearance, and also because the Fashion Gear system also requires you to actually HAVE the gear in order to equip it and achieve the desired look in the first place.....
Back when DCU online came out (only played it for like a week) if I remember correctly there was an actual armour slot and the vanity slot where you could put the armour you had in your inventory into and the stats from the actual armour would stay and the outward appearance would change,
EXACTLY!!
With seeds farming the crap stats of the gear really doesn't matter anyway so there's no use
Luc A yeah but till then its a pain in the ass ...
The scandalous swimsuit is also dropped by Merekings.
I know.
So over half of them are obtained after the main story... *sigh*
Okay.
'Post' game is not post game at all, its the main story
@@neo_asa how do you mean? I'm new to this game.
@@ricflair8867 Dragon quest XI is divided in 3 acts. Act 3 many people call post game but it is a direct continuation of the story.

They aren't even this good tho. Mostly recolors
you need sooooooooo much more views for that wonderful guide. Thanks a lot !
i'm glad you like it! :)
thank you after hours of grinding finally got em all cheers
Hey there,i'm sorry but where do you grind? I'm post game but i really don't know where can i find gold easily

I needed this. Thanks
Good to know that the luminary’s life saving will just go to buying Jade an outfit
I wish Hero had Erdrick's outfit from Dragon Quest 3.
Definitely agree!
I wish there was a crono outfit.
I've got to say, I've only played XI - S, but... *_YIKES._*
There's literally no differences for any of the upgraded outfits, meanwhile everything's different in S. Although, I don't know why, but I didn't get the Stellar set, & that *_REALLY_* upsets me, because my first & favorite Dragon Quest is IX, so I'm gonna have to make sure I just fucked up instead.
Great Guide, and with all the materials listed!
Thank you , will use this guide to unlock the costumes.
In switch, verónica have an angel custome, and Serena a devil one. I love both customes
I think the skirts on Jade's bikinis were added only for western versions of the game
I thought they weren't censoring the localisation, besides, I think it looks better with the skirt.
Bonza The Bear I agree with you on that one, I think it just fits better on her like that, not everything has to be more revealing to make it better looking!
Nope, she had the shorts in the Japanese version as well. I'm glad there wasn't the usual Western puritanical censorship this time.

The two brothers are currently offering me Hendrik's general outfit or something, so huh.
this was good- there's also a Black Cat suit for Veronica bought in Tickington- it the one I usually use for her because looks so cute
Where
For Hendrik´s Armour set: You can also get it from the 2 brother traders in the Port City that already sold you the cat costume for Veronika.
way to much of the hero garb is locked behind post game
this is normal for a dragon quest game.
he is talking about costumes
well, considering that half of the games story is "post game" its not as bad... who only plays till he sees the credits should not have bought the game in the first place
I agree with this. When you get the cool stuf the game is already over :(
@@imthatguyace9948 not even
I farmed for 2 kaleidocloth easily within 30 minutes fighting glacial golems in frozen fjord with Erik equipped with two accessories Pirate King's Pendant and Bunny Tail :)
U can get the serpent soul in galoppoli's region (galoppitan or something else). steal it from pruslas 17 souls in 10 mins.
Very helpful and detailed guide,thanks!
Same thing with the catsuit in galopolis
This was the last trophy I got before Calasmos and the platinum trophy. Definitely requires the most work to get, but shouldn’t be too hard
Going to be honest, the school costumes on Serena and jade look really good
Thank you very much you forgot one thing the traveler hood found in the Gallopolis church 🌹
Very handy. This is the only trophy i have left.
You don't need to be post game to get the cat suit
Thanks, it's so usefull.

Stella!
Kawaii
way to spoil, and no, she ain't dead.
And the last one is Jacqueline's costume from DQ7 (strictly speaking it's the version of her costume from Caravan Heart which I'm not sure about if had been released outside of Japan).
You can get Hendriks armour from the brothers in Gondola for about 5k long before post game as well
great vid thanks!
Thank u for your hard work
Nice guide! You really helped me
PD: The traveller Hood from the hero is in the Church of Galopolis
perfect guide, thank you!
Is anyone playing this gem again in 2021?
Yes
Me in 2023
I find it a bit odd that they changed the colors for the Drasilian armor set in the rerelease.
That dotty set on Serena *_* wow
million thxs !
Thanks for the guide. I wish I would have figured out the costumes earlier and altered things up a bit in my playthrough!
Idk if ya'll know, but your able to talk back and forth with the brothers in Gondolia to make their prices lower. I got the cat head for veronica for like 1000g instead of 12000. The same goes for Hendricks armour (you really shouldn't buy it though) and divine bustier
Cat head the black one ??
If you're looking for technicolor cloth and colorful cocoons. I found the technicolor cloth on on the southern hotto whale station, and colorful cocoons in Laguna di gondolia whale station.
Nicely and well presented guide
Well hello Hendrick #4!!!!!
I still can’t get over the fact that they renamed Martina to Jade... Why?
Fancy Pancy this I would also like to know. Anyone going to answer??
martina = martini. alcohol is too scary for americans so they went for something happier and named her after a pretty rock.
Σcκz That is really the reason?
Spirit of Vengeance close, they were aiming for a form of consistency on both sides of the pacific, since the Royals were named for Stones, it is kinda jarring for odd man out feel for our kicking Princess...
Since her default clothing is themed all-green, they came up with the name Jade, like the green stone... How creative ...
Great video!
Also I'm a bit confused, I can't seem to find the Octagonia Casino-
Huh, weird I got Hendrik's armor by haggling between the brothers in Gondolia think I got it for around 5K?
I've been offered that too.
Hendricks armor can be bought act 2 after haggling with the gondolians merchant brothers
great vid
How do you even obtain the 1st costume for Hero in the beginning?
Why is there multiple of the same
Does anyone know if the wolf (hotto) outfit from Act 2 count for the "Dedicated Follower of Fashion" achievement??
Divine Bustier was censored, its the DQ8's 3DS version. not the PS2 version.
Cool, but I don't like that the costumes are repeated. Some characters have only 2 suits each. And it would be so cool if there were more costumes.
The Traveller's Hood is wrong! You find this in a cabinet in Gallopolis' church!! 🙂🎃🦄
Silk blossom isn’t available at puerto valor for some reason
Damn. 90% of jade's costume are hard to get considering you need to play in the casino
Number 3 has the wrong picture
Thx I will not got this but you help me out this I Subscribe
Why does the Irwin set look the same as the Drasilian set? 🤨
