The origin story of all the british Countach replicas is interesting, in 1986 a couple of dudes, i forget their names, rented a real one for 2 days and at crazy expense, poured the glass mould on top of it and then couldn't get it off, they then called in a few people to help seperate them and in exchange they all got a moulding in payment, hence the start of the british countach replica scene. Prova/Sienna wrre the best known, probably because they got the first one up and running, but there were about 5 manufacturers at the height, including one stretched convertible version. Prova also did a Miura replica. That must be the rarest kit car ever.
Well done dude 👍 That's a really nice one Mate...Looks the part ....just needs some crazy tuning in future. The wing isn't my cupa tea.... But think is ok for this one.
GB Racing was just another outfit of a few guys who ripped a moulding off the original Prova, started pumping out glass bodies and shut up shop just as fast. If I recall. And someone correct me, but I think they produced a basic chassis made of stainless steel for these cars. The car may have had a Ford engine in it at some stage as the rego plate follows what was probably a donor car. I also think one or so of their cars was fitted with a Jag V12 as was another startup and fail company ABS Scorpions. Every man and his dog were jumping on the Countach bandwagon in the 80s and many were nothing more than enthusiastic enthusiasts producing crap.
Suit you sir? ooh, fast car mmm, dark tunnel, ooh , oooh, suit you sir, suit you.. It was the Fast Show i suppose lol. Same hair, same expressions. That thumbnail Lol.
It Looks like one of my old Kits with the front flatter roof line and the front bonnet dip at the bumper , if it has sperate wheel flares that is it . I sold one that wen to the UK some place , I have photos of it .
Check those wheel arches, it looks like a sienna but the wheel arches will tell........and if it is then check out what a sienna countach is going for if you can find one (rarer than the real thing and one of the best replica's ever made)
Even though it's not a real one I think that's one to just keep and use, it's like the AC Cobra and GT40 Reps if it's a really good one I don't even care anymore, the poor 355 and Countach reps are not in the same league when its blatantly obvious they are not real. Keep up the good work I love your channel
I thought you said you were going to show us what’s under the bonnet Sam? You did mention a Rover exhaust I think so has it got a Rover V8 under there?
Reason they look bad usually is the donor car just isnt capable of the dimensions once the body works on , i find it funny that we can exact copy anything BUT 99.9% kit cars look wrong immediately on sight without scrutinising with a fine tooth comb , your Lamborghini looks very close , one of the best replications ive seen .👍🏻
From what I remember from the previous video, it doesn't sound like a Lamborghini. The fake Diablo had an awesome engine, that definitely would fit nicely in there AND sound like the business! Also, perhaps re-paint/wrap it in Lamborghini Yellow as the original one was. The Bentley green however nice, isn't a Lamborghini official colour
You were in FAREHAM!!!!!!!! (Ish)…….. if you want it to look like the BEST replica out there, I think the front wheel placement in the arches needs some attention, it looks glaringly wrong.
The rear wing was available from the factory if you wanted to pay for it. The wing was installed in the parking lot after the car was built (not kidding) also the side glass may be glass on this replica but it's not authentic as the real thing has slightly curved glass panes.
Very nice but I’d spot it as a replica right away. Wheels are wrong, the wingtips are absent, the side mirrors are too far back, the side NACA ducts are supposed to be black and the steering wheel. There’s three I’ve seen that were so spot on that even I was fooled, one is Watson’s perfect 88 1/2 replica on an old Euroworks Mirage S, and Udo Keul’s replicas
Flicking between Hoovies and yours without a tape measure the pair look very very close. I think you have a diamond there give it the premium valet and don't rally it and you could actually trade up or sell for a profit and buy a real car. Nice work Sam.
@@Hardupgarage right okay 🤣 he may be a good contact for you, builds countach replicas that are too good to be called “replicas”. Very knowledgeable talented guy that’s specialises in these for many many years. He may be the man if you have any questions 😃 I’ll DM you some details!
@Hardupgarage yeah very similar, but not iirc on an early car which yours replicates. Either way they just look totally wrong - those red panels around the lights are iconic
@stephenforrest464 it isn't in America. it isn't an anniversary. And the "USA light panel" was not fitted to early cars which this emulates. As such by any rule you want to use the naff looking rear lights are wrong. It ruins the car for me, which is a shame as for a replica it otherwise looks great.
Uh yeah…..that sounds like a v12 all right….by the way i have a line on a toll bridge in California i can get you for peanuts….its a real cash cow but needs paint….CONTINUOUSLY…..let me know as this offer is going to be snapped up fast! 😉
Classic Jags don't believe everything you hear, THE REPLICA IS THE COUNTACH, they Copied The De Tomaso Pantera built in Italy 1971 the version with the wheel arches & Rear Wing is the 365 GTS,, Lambo fell in love with it & Breached Copyright Laws , but overcame it by making doors swing up on the Countach Built 1974
poor bloke went for a ride in Jimmy's Countach- l I was about to say I hope he was an adult at the time but then I heard him say he was 12 in hospital oof
Who knew Tim Shaw was part of the me too movement. Alone in a lambo with Sa***le? I would consider that a car SOS.
Awesome replica but would be good to get rid of that aftermarket Mountney steering wheel . Great video.
True that

The Home Project Channel Lambo copied 1971 De Tomaso Pantera in1974 got away with copyright infringement by converting doors to swing up.
Way better than any replica I have seen here in the US.
The guy that made his countach in his basement for 16 years is prob the best one its silver
That Cobra Daytona Coupe in the background though 😍! I’m in the middle of building my Daytona.
So great to see a well built Lambo Replica... a refreshing change from an MR2 with a Halfords body kit on it... 👍💗
Except for steering wheel everything looks pretty much similar to real countach ❤
Gear shift is off as well.
That car looks a keeper ... done well
Is it a Prova Kit ? Looks like it could be I think they still offer all the parts and you can even buy a factory built
ready to drive one today !
Brilliant. - love it! LOOOOOL!!
Haha amazing! I’ll pop up and have a look this week 😁😁
Those doors, bonnet (etc) gaps in this replica are something any 80s production sports car would envy.....
Yay, thanks for the new video Sam.
Thanks buddy

I love the Countach! i wish you could bring it down here to Phoenix at our cars and coffee event!
For sale and if so, how much please?
This one is actually pretty bad ass dude! Kuddos. Keep this one!
Where do you find parts for a Countach replica anyway??
It’s registered as a 1974 white Ford GB racing sport? Never heard of it - Googling it doesn’t help either. Maybe a V12 slotted in?

What company made that Countach?
The biggest giveaway on all but a few replicas is the flat side glass.
Get curved glass and curved frames and it makes a massive difference.
That and the wheels
The wheels aren't real. There should be more space between the holes and the edge of the rim.

Doses it have a V-8 or bigger 🤔 then i wouldn't call it a fake
Sam a great deal but it looks the most uncomfortable car to get in and drive looking forwards to seeing how you get round the driving position
John
Lol thanks matey :)
How much for a decent kit car like this that hasnt got any problems at all
Looks pretty close to original❤
Amazing mate 👌🏼
Thanks buddy
Late on parade again 🙈 tint on the windows and I think it will pop that bit more! Hope you keep and drive this 1 Sam 😉
So what is it? An early Prova or Mirage?
Not sure
For sure not a prova. A pillar from a prova is way thicker than this one.
We’re thinking it’s an early gt car
Gotta tint those windows, would like to see it ripping around hopefully in the next video.
And hide that interior.
Nice Steve Will Do It intro music! 😂
Nice Lambo copy 👍👍just need a v10 twin turbo BMW m5
Give this car some love, it deserves it!
That lamborghini replica looks pretty damm close ,change that steering wheel and you'll be rite.great video.👍

Buy a salvage modern Lamborghini motor and trans and stuff it in there. You’ll double the value
It wouldn't fit, totally different set up, the chassis would have to be completely rebuilt.
