Hey PS, check this out. I'm currently working on my Pops 2004 Cadillac DeVille that he allowed to sit in our garage for about 9-10 years. The problem was the Purge Valve Solenoid that your video helped me the other day. My question is is there anything else besides changing the old oil, gas, and coolant that you would do before firing it up? It's a real nice car and I'd hate to be the one who really placed it in the grave lol. Any advice would help, big-time. Thanks.
Hey there... From what you described, you only gonna know what it needs once it's running and driving. Charge the battery, check the oil and she if it s starts! Make sure it warms up and fans kick on. After that, everything else is visual inspection related. As long as it's been sitting, all moving parts should be inspected and maintenance items should be brought up. Such as plugs, belts, fluids, drivetrain and cooling system components

Ideally FLUSH... however as long as your fluid is within the window you're fine and have nothing to worry about

The car has to be running and hot in order to check the transmission fluid. The opposite with oil you don't have the engine on it could still be hot 🧠

Ok I added full jug of tranny fluid car wouldn't go forward so it is fine now but stick is still showing empty and I just drove it around block
If it's not showing on the stick, it need more
The fluid is dirty. Probably no maintenance done on it.
