North Star head gaskets fail so much because of a design flaw in head bolts being too thin in an aluminum block. There is a fix for it. Now. But your looking at having the whole engine being removed and yes it’s gonna be northwards of 3K.
Does anybody kbow how hot the Engine should run? Ours hot run from 180 to 230 degrees. New Radiator, thermostat, cooland flush, and runnin Prestone G-05. No exhaust in coolant.

My radiator was punctured trying to replace my alternator, I used the bars leak thing in it & now my mechanic said there’s air bubbles in my radiator line
When I made this video. I thought I had to bleed air from the system. You don't have to do this. Take the cap off and run the engine. It will bleed air out. Also when I made this video. You must not know these engines. Reverse flow operated. So as long as your flowing coolant your getting rid of air stuck in the lines. Add coolant to the reservoir as you go. These engines MUST have this done at least 1-2 times a year including a flush especially when they are old or sit a lot. They build up corrosion and deposits fast it’s about the design of the engine that pleagued them. Religious maintenance is what keeps these expensive engines on the road. They are not a LS
You can but I found out you don't have to do this. My engine has a blown head gasket. Air was not in the coolant system. It was exhaust leaking pass the gasket.
Its not air buddy, its the gasket Do not buy any caddy older than 2000s, i learned the hard way too. Dont put $ into it either, been there done that, u lookin at $3k for a good repair. Get a new caddy
I have a method of just taken and louse ing radiator cap and the air dispersed ‘ am I doing it wright 🤷
I'm going to try this tomorrow my 94 Eldorado is getting hot quickly. Thank you for sharing
If you are getting a message saying check coolant and your coolant is full. You have a blown head gasket.
@blackericdenice my coolent isn't full I have to keep adding coolent
@@johnnorvaisas You are either leaking it, burning it or pumping it out.

Tell me something I don't know
Hey. Why didn’t you just put the hose in a way that it would put the coolant back into the reservoir?
I didn't know what I was doing.
Do ur heat have to be on during video
No. Water run through the heater core full time. The problem is I have a weak aka blown head gasket.

If no exhaust is in the coolant. The engine run cool.
what do you think is happening if theres no coolant coming out of the line?

Either the line is stopped up or there is so much exhaust gas in the coolant. The water pump can't pump coolant.
Are you sure that what you’re using is water or actually fruit juice🍍🍊 ?

Bad idea. You are emptying the coolant from the reservoir and allowing air to enter the radiator
