3 Brothers Guitars definitely picked the right guy to introduce their new brand. The guitar sounds amazing. The combinations and differences in tones and sounds achieved with these pickups is impressive. It can't be by accident. I'm very pleasantly surprised at how great the cleans are. I wasn't expecting that. The neck work, frets, and fretwork as well as overall fit and finish is another unexpected bonus! While I totally understand why you mentioned it, the Strat style bridge fits me and my playing style perfectly so what to some might be a minus for me is another plus. On a lighter note, the logo on the headstock definitely brought a smile to my face! Thank you for another fantastic review, demo, and video. Please keep them coming, Max!

They look nice and sound great but I can't see paying $649+ for something that looks and sounds like a Harley Benton. For that I'd just order a guitar from Thomann and pay less for pretty much the same thing.

Lovely Guitar. I bought a beautiful Tele style with the same Headstock as this purple beauty. I bought it about a year ago on eBay for $75. I checked out the pickups and they were super high quality - and the neck was straight as a board. I updated the bridge with brass and put new strings on it for $10. Couldn't get a better sound out of the guitar.
I purchased the Wolf brand because of your review on it, and I am totally blown away by its quality vs affordability. Thank you for your honest reviews - Cheers man
A standard Strat tremolo works very well and when properly set up can provide very good tuning stability, especially when you compare it to a Bigsby. It’s very impressive having a brass trem block as standard. I wonder what the saddles are composed of?
One other comment... Max's (perfectly valid) opinion on bridges is basically double-locking or nothing... But let's face it, there's a learning curve to double-locking trems, and some things that used to be easy (changing strings, tuning) become a pain in the butt. So I think there is a big segment of players (like myself) that don't really do 3 step dive bombs or any EVH style whammy bar theatrics, and just like the option to be able to add some gentle tremolo to the sound of chords or notes. This kind of bridge is perfect for that kind of player. That's probably why they are still so widespread.
I would like this guitar. Although it does sound a bit thin like cheaper Chinese pick ups tend to be honest. Still glad this quality is available at this price though.
Vibrato arm and bridge was made exactly for what it's called VIBRATO! If used for what it was designed for it should serve you well with a decent set up! Dive bombing is not what it was designed for,it really gets on my nerves when I hear people complaining about them! I own a few cheap guitars and have never really had problems with them because I use them for what they were designed for!
Despite the blues chops not being quite there, that thing is baisically an HSS strat, with a larger radius fretboard, very nice, as a Fender fan boy I’d rock that any day no problem.
I have to differ with you on a 2 point tremolo bridge. Those are vastly superior to the vintage 6 point version and your other option is a Floyd Rose which is a pain in the ass. A little lube on the nut and saddles and they will hold tune just fine. You don’t get the range of dive bombs you do with a Floyd, but they are easier to setup, easier to change strings and less prone to pulling other strings out of tune if you strum with a heavy hand, which Floyds have a real problem with.
as for the tremolo system, these traditional designed strat styled bridge, it was not meant for those 80s shred style, at most it can do Hendrix stuff, even then Hendrix still has to tune his strat every now and then, but if you play stuff like The Ventures and The Shadows then this bridge will do just fine.
It really depends on how you have it set up on your amp . You haven't told us the name of the make yet . So far I'm extremely impressed not only with its sound capabilities but its rock guitar a metal lovers guitar.
Something I’ve noticed lately is that more Humbuckers inserted into Strat-style guitars have got the pickup covers on them. Since before I started learning to play myself, I’ve been used to pickups with no covers on them and the bobbins visible for all to see.
What is this guy doing posting guitar videos? He should be starring in action films with Vin Diesel! Meanwhile, his guitar videos are always interesting and useful. After watching his review of the Schecter E-1 FR S Special Edition, I bought one post-haste, and it's a mega-fabbo guitar. Just recorded with it this afternoon. I always keep up with Guitar MAX postings. CHEERS
That is a beautiful guitar ! How would that stack up against a Wolfgang Standard they are close in price range and I would love to see them them compared by you Max.. thanks and much respect !
Love push in whammy bars. Thankfully G&L uses them and I use Wilkinson trems on guitars I build that have push on bars as well. I remember years ago a few guitar players in my area needed work done on their strats and i found that the whammy bar had broken and some of it broke and remained in the guitar. I figured out how to get it out, but after that it seemed like I kept seeing this happen more and more. Steered me away from those trems for sure. Dont get me wrong, I have no idea how someone could break their whammy bar off playing it. But maybe I guess over screwing it in ? I never asked how it happened haha. I just fixed it.
Was that a 3 way switch on that guitar or a 5 way ? Id be very depressed to find out its only a 3 with the HSS configuration. I want position 2 and 4 damn it ! lol :-)
About the bridge, I guess it comes down to your music preference and your playing style. You shredders leave me in the weeds with your dive bombs, but I love my rockabilly and my Gretsches and I love my Bigsby! Horses for courses I guess! It’s all still good, and I love your channel, even if you are a long haired metal punk half my age!
The Logo makes sense from viewers perspective because you're holding it means the player holding the guitar is the last step of evolution kinda cleaver
great Video Max. I hope they change the Logo and it would be cool if they offered a hard tale but who am I. Its a Beautiful guitar and sounds great. I did notice you change of style in playing on this video. sounded great. thanks again, God Bless
On their website, it looks like the purple quilt-top guitar you have there is the model S22 QM, not S22 EP. Sorry to be nitpicky, but just letting you know. Love your channel!
It’s baisically a player series strat, I personally don’t use the trem, I deck em with five springs and run the claw all the way in, I don’t block it like true hardtail just because I enjoy the sound of a trem guitar even though I don’t use it, might sound dumb but it’s my personal preference, definitely sounds better that a Benton, not that those are bad.
Which of all the new cheap strat styles you have covered which one has chunky profile? Is there really that many players that want thin profiles? I am a C cup+ guy!
How does it compare to other “budget” guitars in the same price point? The finish is gorgeous. Sounds good on air pods… Do I need to get one if my collection is already above 20 electrics?
Okay, something must have happened because they completely disappeared from Reverb, and the only two comments and ratings on the account are 1 star "I ordered this but they haven't spoken to me at all after X amount of time." It's a shame to see quality builders disappear like that.
That's odd about that bridge It wasn't a problem on randy roads guitar never heard it out of tune now I have a dean with a Floyd dbl locking those work best with front rear lock on block the only good feature are the fine tuners and post height locking nut only crushes strings making grove in flat of nut and nut caps bad idea also the nut raises pitch of strings when clamped down light or heavy makes no difference not what you want
The vintage bridge you mention are the 6 screw fender style and ya they suck but the 2 point that's on that like the gotoh ones they put on higher end Ibanez AZ etc are amazing flutters like a Floyd
Harley Benton Fusion comes with a better neck joint (where neck meets body) Stainless frets, it also a roasted neck, looks as good if not better....and all for much less money.
I wouldn't call those "Straight-Up Jumbo" frets. They may be tall frets (for easier note-bending & finger-vibrato). But, they aren't the "railroad-track" massive, wide frets, intended mainly for bass guitars, which I think could also be described as "Straight-Up Jumbo" frets. But, in fairness, as your phrasing suggested, fret-wire manufacturers haven't precisely standardized their industry's descriptive terms!
Reminds me of the shape of the Michael Kelly strat style of guitars. They also have a thin C neck. Hmmm..... And I agree the neck is essential for me. I prefer the PRS pattern neck, so I would probably find this guitar's neck to thin.
I don't like when a guitar looks really nice and the knobs look cheap, I know it's just a personal thing but it throws off the aesthetic. It sounds great tho and it's a great video as always 🤘
@@GuitarMAXMusic depends on the guitar/finish but I like speed knobs and dome knobs. With the guitar in the video I think some metal dome knobs would go a long way. It's a personal opinion but I think that the cheap looking knobs take away from the nice finishes like this quilt top.
@@GuitarMAXMusic they mean less plastic knobs I'm assuming. Completely something that can be changed after you buy one, but hey he still prefers the seat covers that came in the escort Gramma had in the car she gave him. Oh boy.
question from a person that doesn't know a lot about the technical aspects of guitars and music equipment in general... for someone who does not really use a whammy bar, is this still a good buy option, or does this really not matter much?
Stunning looking and sounding guitar with high quality parts and for me an all important slim neck profile with a Rosewood fretboard. The icing on the cake is the price, if only you didn't have to pay import charges and 20% VAT in the UK. Still great value, imagine what it would cost with a known name on the headstock. It reminds me of the Eart E-3S that i have in a similar finish, it even makes me think that these guitars may be made in the same factory. China can make excellent guitars if you keep away from the budget models. Thanks for your excellent demo, my fingers are itching to buy one.
Another great guitar demo! It's a nice axe but hate the logo! Come on guys! Gotta step it up to compete! Guitar itself is sharp but fix the logo! Hard to read! Kudos on the axe! Cheerz all!
Soloking is a guitar of the same quality and price. It’s an Indonesian brand, made in China. I had a strat model. It was not bad but the locking tuners are not the best, same as the bridge. Other specs about Soloking are quite good

For fans of super strats, it's very cool (and competition is usually good for the consumer) but it seems like this is a more expensive Harley Benton Fusion? What really separates this from HB?
Reminds me of a wesstone in the late 80's a an old music store sold Bentley series 10 & wesstone . I remember a snake skin wesstone excited same shape with a floyd rose brige very very cool guitar . Snake skin don't see those anymore just boots

Something I’ve noticed lately is that more Humbuckers inserted into Strat-style guitars have got the pickup covers on them. Since before I started learning to play myself, I’ve been used to pickups with no covers on them and the bobbins visible for all to see.
It's phenomenal sound shreds my skin 😳 holy shit.
U DESERVE MORE SUBS KEEP IT UP MAN
Love push in whammy bars.
They need more pictures on the reverb pages. OK, the brown one has more photos.
Whoa haha, glow-in-the-dark inlays. That's fun.
Have you done the Valgoa VRS 1983 review yet it’s 139$ Amazon and all other reviews has those pick ups as monsters and it comes in purple burst too
On their website, it looks like the purple quilt-top guitar you have there is the model S22 QM, not S22 EP. Sorry to be nitpicky, but just letting you know. Love your channel!
I agree to with the comments those pickups all have a different unique ness to them
Yeah babbie.. great frikin TONES!!! From Michigan.. Peace & loving Hard Rock!
What a sweet purple. I'm not normally a fan of purple but I like that one!
I wish more manufacturers would use Kahler bridges. Aside from the new Deans, I can’t think of any guitar that has one from the factory.
I have GOT to turn off my notifications for Max or build a dedicated guitar room so I have a place to put all of these!
Sounds fine. Looks great !
im planning to buy my first electric guitar, i want to buy a harley benton guitar but are they worth it?
Beautiful finnish. It looks and sounds great. Love the matching headstock ( except for the logo ) Just need to block it and Rock It.
Great guitar! I love the logo!
Logo? Hmm not sure how I feel about it. Love the guitar, matching headstock paint too
Which of all the new cheap strat styles you have covered which one has chunky profile? Is there really that many players that want thin profiles? I am a C cup+ guy!
The Reverb link goes to a page with 0 entries. Are they sold out at this time or out of business?
What is the chain on your amp?? It sounds great!
How does it compare to other “budget” guitars in the same price point?
The finish is gorgeous. Sounds good on air pods…
Do I need to get one if my collection is already above 20 electrics?
You're an addict lmao
It reminded me of my Michael Kelly Strat, too... The one with Floyd Rose Special...
@@bushcry1 Yep. I have an MK tele with the burled top. Sounds great but I'm not crazy about the neck.
Love the Cobra Kai shirt!
I don't like when a guitar looks really nice and the knobs look cheap, I know it's just a personal thing but it throws off the aesthetic.
It sounds great tho and it's a great video as always 🤘
What kind of knobs would you prefer?
Stunning looking and sounding guitar with high quality parts and for me an all important slim neck profile
with a Rosewood fretboard.
The icing on the cake is the price, if only you didn't have to pay import charges and 20% VAT in the UK.
Still great value, imagine what it would cost with a known name on the headstock.
It reminds me of the Eart E-3S that i have in a similar finish, it even makes me think that these guitars
may be made in the same factory.
China can make excellent guitars if you keep away from the budget models.
Thanks for your excellent demo, my fingers are itching to buy one.
Are they still in business? Website is shut down and there are none on Reverb.
Love your videos bro and nice Cobra Kai shirt another great show
Gives me suhr vibes. Very similar headstock.
Other specs about Soloking are quite good
Hows the neck? I'm interested on buying it but I'm afraid it doesnt suit me.
@@ブランク-x2i it’s quite thick, but manageble to play. It has a C/D profile neck with rounded back (C-profile) and shoulders on the top and bottom (D-profile).
If you are not sure whether you’ll like it or not then I recommend to buy a used guitar in good condition first. If you have more questions about this guitar I am glad to help you 🙏
What impresses me is that shirt. We do not train to be merciful. Mercy is for the weak 😎
It definitely has a very Suhr\Anderson type vibe, at least in appearance.
For fans of super strats, it's very cool (and competition is usually good for the consumer) but it seems like this is a more expensive Harley Benton Fusion? What really separates this from HB?
Sick tone
Beautiful Finish.!
Hi, someone can write here the name of this brand? Thanks...
3 Brothers Guitars.
Great review and guitar playing as always max, it’s amazing the amount of choice and competition out there.
Thanks to all
What color is it and what body type is this guitar?
How does this compared to Harley Benton fusion?
Looks like the Harley Benton Fusion models…and they are made in Indonesia, how do these compare?
So what’s the brand’s name?
Reminds me of a wesstone in the late 80's a an old music store sold Bentley series 10 & wesstone . I remember a snake skin wesstone excited same shape with a floyd rose brige very very cool guitar . Snake skin don't see those anymore just boots
Have you tried the Polish company Mensinger Guitars or anyone here? Check the the Lizard model! It like a Suhr under but 2K! If anyone have it let me know how it feels!
