I note the comments made so far. In my mind the real test is when it is used in practice & then modifying the rig if & as required. I do not fish for Bass. I kayak fish on a saltwater lake, Australia. I will try this rig & see if my local species show an interest. They could be spooked by it or find it irresistible. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Instead of skin hooking the top hook, apply an o-ring to the worm in that area first before inserting the tubes. Then at the end, use the o-ring wacky method. You heard it here first...JOE FISH!!

With a little care you might turn the hooks the other direction before inserting the line, them use
Improve your hookset by putting the line through the eye of the hook from the point side, so when you set the hook it throws the hook into the lips.

as this aint weedless the bottom hook is very nesessary. more often fish nibble and investigate tails than charge head on. id put a treble hook on the bottom ring.

можно вставлять трубочки большего диаметра , завальцевав с обеих сторон зажигалкой, (без клея) получится "пустотелая клёпка"на работу приманки , это не отражается ,через неё должен проходить крючок, именно, привязанный крючок (сам назад, он не выскочит. это избавит тебя от изготовления поводков, на остальные приманки, будешь пользоваться одним на все приманки .
такие вставки , как у тебя,не смотря, что это пластик, при нагрузке рыбой, могут обрезать нить, острой кромкой.

@@JTxTX never saw that or even thought about it lol but I saw this and said damn why didn't I think about that ive used hollow qtips before lol I found a way for using thin electrical wiring basically remove the wire its pretty easy happy fishing
i will make a frensh fry mould to mimic this rig. smelting all old broken plastics in it.
Excellent instructional video, you are a talented teacher. For those fishing in obstruction rich waters I would add weedless wacky hooks to the arsenal. I fish inshore waters with lots of oyster shell. I think this rig could be a killer for my fishing. My preliminary test have shown a tendency for these to cause line twist so I may have to add bb swivels.
Has anyone else encountered the line twist? When twitching it back slowly it works fine but when reeling it back quickly after exiting the strike zone once it starts helicoptering it rotates quite rapidly.
Thank you! It does tend to twist but after trying with multiple stick baits I used a swivel. I also added a a small split shot to help it sink. Let me know what you catch with it and always keep safe out there.
I'm planning on using wacky weedless hooks as well. I think I am going to try one on the end and the front hook tied on

@@grandwonder5858 I do two ways either 10 inch above the first hook or between the tail hook and the Bead or split Rings just to help it sink faster.

I've been seeing improvements to this the past few days. If someone can figure out a way to not have the first hook floating, it will be perfected.
Just thinking. If you tie the front hook on, the hook will move away from the bait, but the worm would still compress and decompress, no?
@@OJA1965 so long as you don't skin hook it to the worm. It would decrease the chances of the hook being in the fishes mouth though as well unless it is a really large fish. I think you would be better off just have a single large gap hook at the rear of the bait. If you don't tie the first hook to the line though, it is literally useless against a fish of any size at all.
@@IlliniDog01 Thanks. I am going to try that next. I also need to pay more attention to the alignment as I didn't have very good action. I used coffee stirrers, but I will try a q-tip next. It might be a little bit sturdier.

Yah had to work with waht I have since I couldn't find any plastic stir sticks or any king of tubing but Yah they work.
those will be floating do you add some weight somewhere?
I add a small spitshot at the end to make it fall backwards but you don't need too. Just let it sink down then jerk once or twice then let sink again like you do with wacky rig.
Good presentation, however, you need to keep your hands in the frame of the camera .
FYI, bro. You can get coffee stir sticks at Walmart that are hollow tubes like that, 250 for a dollar.

The ONE THING that I'd add is that you're going in at too straight of an angle. You need to angle it a bit...going in straight doesn't come through the water as well.
Interesting! People keep on creativity and try special experience. But if someone, even pro can catch 10 bass in our three ponds, and others I appointed only have one year fishing background here can catch 20 fish, 1:2, then I pay the expense for one-way tickets. Note I have fishing 17 years bass. It is a good idea, but people are very difficult to catch a fish. For 50 years, which baits, rig is effective than 10 years ago? Senko, crank -revolution!
Why do people place the hook at the top of the worm instead of at the bottom? If I only use one hook, wouldn’t it catch more fish if placed at the bottom?
Please mark the work surface so you know what areas are in frame. Much of the second half of the video is off camera.
In the original rig the hook is on the head of the worm free lined I just added the second hook at the tail for when the worm is curled up and more chances of hooking up. If your also interested I also maid a short video of it with a fixed hook.

You can if you wish the action still there but with treble hook its more prone to snag.
