Hi Alex, there are so many different stories about servicing and maintenance that it's a better topic for a live discussion. We could do that if you like? Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci Sounds great, Bill. Over the years, we collect these magnificent toys, but keeping up with maintenance can be challenging. It would be fantastic if you could cover topics like regular maintenance intervals, signs a watch needs servicing, finding reliable watchmakers (local vs. manufacturer), cleaning and care routines, common issues and troubleshooting, storage and handling best practices, the importance of proper lubrication, maintaining water resistance, special care for vintage watches, essential tools for DIY maintenance, and cost considerations. Looking forward to the session!
Hello Bill, small correction. Brazil won the World Cup 5 times, the stars in the dial suppose to resemble the Brazilian stars in the flag, which are the Southern Cross.
It's a good thing I already have a Tonda 1950 cause that is a sweet watch and of course the others ain't chopped liver either! Your like the "Walter White" of watch addiction! Nice
Very interesting video Bill. It looks like you found some really good buys. I tried to buy the Longines Ephemerides Solaires but they wouldn't sell it to me. They said I need a intergalactic degree from NASA. I looked at the Paul Gerber a while back after watching another one of your videos. The design through me off, but I am impressed with what he's done with the movement. The PF is fantastic, but I would rather get the 1950. The Bovet really is a "Grail Watch" in and of itself. Love the movement. Best regards, Brian
@@watchartsci No moon phase. Two hander with small seconds at 6. Very nice dress watch. I don't wear dress watches that much anymore which is the main reason I haven't gotten one yet, although over the years I've found a few for really good prices. Best regards, Brian
Good insights! Agree especially for good buys with Parmigiani- many good buys still. Not as good as a year to 3 years back with the 1950 variations, but still really nice pieces out there! Other brands like Moser & Cie- the good double hairspring models a bit more expensive but still attainable. For their precious metal in palladium- prices have shot up! Happy hunting folks!
Some of those mentioned are hard to find, Cesar. They're just not expensive. See how many Equation of Time watches by Longines or Martin Braun are available. Take care, Bill
Hi Bill , The great thing about your videos is all the unknown watches you present. Thanks.
Don, watch collection can be a treasure hunt instead of a purchasing assembly line!! Take care, Bill
Hey Bill, great video reminding folks that the ‘Holy Grail’ was chased after because of its story, not its price! All the best, Ed
Ed thanks for that. It wouldn't hurt me to brush up on my mythology! Take care, Bill
Bill keeps rolling out the hits!
Steve, that's my Horological Society of New York Hat. Take care, Bill
Hi Bill, congrats on a great channel. Any chance you could make a video on servicing and maintaince. ,

Franck Muller Perpetual Calendar 5850 QP could be an affordable Grail watch. Can find them below 10k if you are lucky.
Great example Scotch! Take care, Bill
@Bill
Just FYI, unfortunately this video is only available in 720p on UA-cam. You can check what went wrong. Otherwise a great video.
I'm using a new video editor, and that may be the problem Jack. Thanks for letting me know. Take care, Bill
That Paul Gerber is a beauty, i have to add it to my list :D Thanks Bill.
My list is over-filled, Abdul and I'm in a heap of trouble! In watch collection, that's known as 'Great Fun." Take care, Bill

Wizy Wig...my bad. You are correct. Take care, Bill

The Tonda 1950 is one of the coolest watches PF ever made. Classy without making a big deal of it...just like you Leigh! 😉 Take care, Bill

Brian, wasn't the PF a Tonda 1950 with a moon phase? Take care, Bill

Have always loved Corum. Own a Admiral Legend 47. Big, bold and blue.
I really like their Admiral, Gregg. Take care, Bill
A fellow Corum owner! I have the 39mm Admirals Cup with blue dial but I’d have yours if I had the wrist for it. All the best, Ed
@@localheroEd Nice.
Thank you Bill! Very interesting, as usual!
My pleasure Pierre! Take care, Bill

@@watchartsci 🤣🤣👍…🇬🇧
Doesn’t grail must be almost unobtainable and therefore expensive?

Very interesting, thank you so much 🙏
You are very welcome Paolocap! Take care, Bill
