  • I honestly didn't think it would be that special. But it was. The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse was an incredible experience, and getting to exist in the darkness of totality was an indescribable moment that I wish could have lasted far longer than it did.

I'm from Bloomington, about an hour west of Columbus. The totality seemed to last an absolute age, after four minutes. Then it was gone. Its been over 25 years since my last eclipse, and it was *nothing* like this.

Went to a town around Austin. The clouds broke for just a moment to see it in it’s glory. amazing.

    A very successful attempt!
    Superb pictures and narration 🤩
Imagine the people living in Norway or Sweden with only 2 hours of daylight during the winter time.
Or even up north who can enjoy aurora borealis!
I live in Thailand for almost 14 years. I spent 6 months on the island of Phuket due to a friend having a difficult separation with his partner.
One of the only thing I enjoyed there (I'm not a big fan of these super crowdy touristic places), was the sunset on a famous beach. When the big orange sun, disappear behind a small mountain. All the people on the beach celebrate it the same way with acclamation and applause. It made me think to the ancient Egyptian civilization veneering the sun.
Thanks anyway for sharing this moment with your family. 👍👍

This is nothing short of spectacular. Last eclipse in 2017 I was fortunate to see at least 80% in my state of Minnesota, and even that in itself was surreal. The Twilight in the middle of the day. The unearthly, but wonderful experience of it. Someday, Adam. Someday. Also. This is why I still enjoy UA-cam, as this profile is 18 years old too. Take care, keep up the amazing work. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🖖🎮😊 Marcus

due to being in a country where it's always cloudy i've never seen a Solar Eclipse, i've seen more snow than a Solar Eclipse and even then that snow is rare.

Beautiful video EposVox. I was able to experience totality in 2017 in a small town in South Carolina. Climbed to the top of a tall building that oversaw the surrounding area. A perfect hot summer day without a cloud in the sky with just a few of us. The entire sensation leading up to it and the change in the temperature was amazing. Then to see the full coverage of the sun was nothing short of breath-taking and, to be honest, life-changing. It's an experience with no parallel. Everything lines up to be just the right size, angle, and point in time for us to witness this cosmological anomaly. We are truly lucky.

This eclipse was amazing. I traveled an hour from my hometown to another part of Indiana to see 100% totally and I’m glad I did.

This video touched me as it reminded me of a time before when people were living in the moment more often than not and not nearly as absorbed in the daily distractions of life we have today.
The eclipse is a reminder at least to me to enjoy the smaller things and live more in the moment and enjoy what’s around us.

Man, God's creation is literally amazing! I am so glad we live in a world made by a Creator to show us His Ability and Power to move the stars, Heaven and Earth. He was right when he looked at his creation and said "It was very good". 2,000 years since Creation began! :D

I've never used a 360 camera but could you like inverse the 360 footage to where the eclipse was right at the center and the world kind of surrounded it? Might be a cool effect

You can't describe totality to someone who hasn't seen it. It isn't possible to convey it properly. They'll never get it.
