Just bought a copy of Cubase Artist... The best thing that i've ever done in my entire life.
Is it worth getting pro if your just into recording editing mixing and mastering?
@@prynce2017 Absolutely not. If you are starting out you should get Elements, because Pro will result a bit "bloated" of features that you don't need. Elements is a much cleaner program, even thought people think Cubase isn't "begginer friendly".
@@roccox9510 does elements support third party vst guitar plugins like neural dsp and mercuriall?
@@fredriksvard2603 of course it does! And they work great!
I’ve got pro for electronic music. It works amazing!
I upgraded to artist this year because theres alot of extra features. For a creative type cubase is one of the best for song writing with its great sounding groove drum vst with loads of patterns at your fingertips. I love the drum vst as a guitarist who doesn't always feel like programming drums, when I want to jam and get creative I'll drag and drop drum patterens right to the track .
I watched it for almost 12 times. I'm still confused
xD
If you think this video is confusing, try reading the Cubase manual - it's 100 times worse!

It's highly condensed. Best to just fire up Cubase and explore everything yourself.
@MANIAKK Lmao no
its absolutely mind boggling how far cubase has come since it fitted on a single disquette 😀
I am looking for a software that can easily "catch" my ideas played on my Korg Kronos II, and than make a full length track.
Which version is the best for me? Thank you in advance for your answer.
Also, can I use AVID pro dongle for Cubase?
Take a shot every time he says "packed."
Wow am I seeing double right now?
Awesome Cubase 💥💥👊👊💥💥Will be changing soon From Protools 12.6 and Fl Studio 20 Signature to Cubass 10.5 Pro best Software Ever everything in One and well made. January 18 2020 will be my Crossover Date 🙏🙏 And i know the video was for Cubase 10 i am just enjoying all the videos 👊👊💥👊👊
Thank you for this video Im trying to buy cubase 7.5 Artist
I want to ask one thing,If my computer has a problem How many time can I re install and got activation? please
Got elements a while a go but haven't touched it much... I had no idea I had so many features lol.
Nice.
Great Work, thank you for sharing ☝ 😘
Just got pro after having elements for 10 years! So stoked!
Those Videos are so enjoyable!
When i install artist 9.5over my elements 7, will my existing projects get messed up/altered? Or can i just install ang go on from where i left?
Hi, can I use the grand 3 piano with cubase elements 10? thanks
Right now I'm using Cubase 7.5 Artist. My biggest issue with it is that I can't do a real time audio mixdown export. I have a 16 channel Presonus mixer and I can easily set my system up so that I can use the faders for volume changes as the song is playing but I can't do that in real time for a mixdown. Is it possible to do it with Cubase 10 Artist? I do rock recordings in my home studio and I don't need a lot of the features in the Pro version.
What about the cubais pro remote control for iPad and móvile devices? Its only available for cubase pro? I tried with elements and I couldnt connect.
Hi I want to know do Steinberg still manufacturers Cubase essentials
so good bro
Sir I have cubase le 10 activation key can I open chase 10 pro with this activation key
If you're not a producer cubase elements it's perfect with an bundle from waves and izotope 9.
Especially you do rap...
Finally! Thx!!!😎👍🏾
Used to love cubase but I dont have a lot of money to have the cubase pro and reaper is stealing my heart in so many ways, I will miss cubase =(
I am at a similar crossroads, what did you decide to go with in the end?
is Cubase Elements 10.5 right for music recording?

Can I add plugins to artist?
Does cubase element 11 work with Window 10 home version 2004?

Going from Mac and Lolgic - What would be the similar...ish DAW on PC? I want loads of different sounds (loops not of interest) and the DAW should be easy to work with. Do I have to get back to Mac again for my small music hobbieprojects? My PC will do the job to - I guess ASIO is even better than before (?) and I see no need to own 2 computers. So please help. Which DAW to get?
When will Cubase get a video export feature? The new video engine is great but now we even lost the possibility to replace audio in existing video files.
This is a necessary feature for all media composers. I now have to use a video editor to export proper demos to my clients which costs hours in a large project!
Hi Cloudy, we still work on re-introducing this feature after we had to move away from the Quick Time engine. Unfortunately, no details on the schedule are available at this point.
@@Cubase I see. Let's hope for the best. At the moment this is my only issue with Cubase and it would be a shame if that's going to be the dealbreaker. But I really need this feature.
I really need that Pro version...
Hello you all. I can download the software Cubase Artist 8 on the Side from Steinberg. Which "older" Software for an Upgrade to Cubase Artist 8 have I use for this? Thanks and musician greetings Peter Bengelmann
Can we try Cubase before buying it ?

Hi, yes you can, you can find it here: www.steinberg.net/en/products/steinberg_trial_versions/cubase if you do not have a USB-eLicenser we recommend you to download the Elements version. It will give you a feel of the software.
Did Elements suitable for orchestra arranging?
Anyone know how Cubase technical support is? I am a novice so access to help if I am stumped by some feature would be important.
does it work on scarlet interface

I need to upgrade from Cubase 9.5 Elements AI - Artist 13 looks right for me so this is my next one, after lots of issues with my free version from 2016 lol..i think its time!
I did recently upgrade to 9.5, still discovering new things :)
I have been using 6.5 and still haven't completely learned all of it, however, to make a long story short, technological evolution is forcing me to upgrade to 10. Should be interesting. It sure looks like a cool program.
Still finding new things in 5 after 11 years!
looking at buying this but I have ongoing projects in cubase 5.1.. can I bring my 5.1 projects over into 9.5 or am i going to have to start from scratch?? Thanks
They are compatible as long as you have the files brought over properly they should work....same goes for FL STUDIO FILES...I THINK IT HELPS IF IT'S THE SAME VERSION....for example...like producer edition 10 may be better with producer edition 12...vs using a different edition
Is elements capable to make full albums. I make more minamalist music so audio and midi tracks aren’t a problem but feature wise is there anything that is missing in elements that just can’t be done by VST?
would it be possible to install plugins and vstis from sources outside of cubase elements? or am i simply limited to using what is preinstalled?
Thats what I wanna know
Nice
So, setting up tempo variations and bar changes are not available in Cubase Elements? I can't find how to add those tracks. I am crying :(
Hello m looking forward to buying the Elements...so these features mentioned for artists like the comping tool ...they are not there in elements ?
Hello, no, they are not in the Elements version.
Thanks for the reply ...I am thinking between Elements or Artist...and what about the "Time Warp " function ??is it there in Elements ?
which version of artist and pro you was talking about in the video ?? is it the 8 or earlier ?
Hello, this was done with Cubase 9.5. But most of the differences are the same. E.g. VariAudio.
how to use full screen on mac????
Mmmm looks nice 🙂
Which one is the best for virtual film scoring?
In this case, that would be Nuendo.
Which one ist the best for an entry start in electronic music production ?
cubase element is best for initialstage...
Can i use izotope 9 and some waves plugins for the "Artist" version ?
Yeah, for all versions.
Does the elements version have unlimited audio and midi tracks?
I plan on buying it

Hey I wana ask will I be able to use guitar rig5 with this ? I am using pro tools first And if I buy elements and dont like it will I be able to get refund or something...plz reply
Hello, if Guitar Rig5 is a VST, then yes it should work like any VST. Once you have activated any of our products. (used the activation code) We cannot refund you the product. In that case you should first download the free trial: www.steinberg.net/en/products/steinberg_trial_versions/cubase.html
Thanks for the reply I will surely try the trail version and probably end up buying the Elements version anyway
I have a dumb question. Does Elements allow for multi-track recording beyond 2 tracks? So if I want to record a drum set with like 8 mics, will it work?
Hello, yes it will work. You can record up to 48 Audio tracks simultaneously. You can find a detailed feature comparison chart in the following link: new.steinberg.net/cubase/compare-editions/
No sidechain in Elements. Everyone forgets to mention about it. Sidechain is a must for every production and mix session regardless of their complexity. Maybe I just don't need Artist or Pro with all their features, but only need a sidechain.
Alexander May why do u need it
@@actionfraction8612 Sidechain is a must for both production and mixing stages. If you can get away without it at the production or tracking stage, then mixing is almost never done without sidechaining. This is a process of controlling one track or group of tracks with another. Usually the signal from the controlling track arrives at the sidechain input of a compressor or a gate which allows you to unmask, mute or unmute the sound depending on the signal on the controlling track, thus cleaning the inevitable mess. Usually it's done by means of buses in a regular DAW, but Cubase somehow rejects the idea of freely assigned buses and implements its own proprietary internal routing, the most inconvenient and non-flexible routing among all the other DAWs.
Sidechaining is overrated. Did Elvis use it?
@@nikesan2472 You would be surprised. His sound engineer Bill Porter used RCA BA-6A tube compressors with sidechain inputs. Sidechain tube compressors were used by many other great stars including The Beatles. Nowadays, with all the electronic sound design, a DAW without a sidechain is an absolute derision.
there is sidechain in element i remenber, but only 8 of them😅
Chord assit to IOS cubases woudl be a killer feature
The video shows audiowarp available in Cubase Artist here. But in the "comparison chart" of Cubase 10 is not available. Can anyone explain me that please?
Hi Ignacio, please have a look in our Online manuals to find out everything about Audiowarp in Cubase Artist: steinberg.help/cubase_pro_artist/v10/en/search.html?searchQuery=audiowarp
Hello!
So, does Cubase allow me to just record via a midi controller?
Also does Cubase have midi note editing?
Thank you very much!
Hi, yes, and yes, you will need a Virtual Instrument though, MIDI does not produce any sound. You might want to watch our music production for beginners series as well: ua-cam.com/play/PLeAGmrQnjblafYb_qTPhcX-qIHSz-yKD-.html
Thank you so much! Not a lot of companies reply on UA-cam. So it's a nice change to see! Cheers~!
Cubase is king of midi
Any suggestions for a simple singer songwriter recording artist ?
If you're not gonna use too much tracks ( more than 24 ) go with elements which is for smaller projects.
What is cubase le and ai ?
I love Cubase but some things you don't know what you are missing until you look for it. I had Cubase 5 forever... I now have 10.5 Elements. Randomly I found that Pitch Shift is not offered in Elements. No biggie since I have plenty of 3rd party plugins that do that though.
Hello Bro I want CUBASE 5 so bad, can you please help me with how I could get it? I LOVE CUBASE 5. But it's not on steinberg website. Thank you.
@@taranova216 Did you manage to obtain cubase?
Hello bro, I didn't get it. I now use logic
So, if i dont play instruments and im really only recording vocals. I should be happy with the artist? Or even the elements?
What's wrong with the free Audacity program, or similar?
sir in Element full plugins is there ?
yes
Thank you! I'm going with Pro. Looking forward to getting started with it and my newly purchased Apollo twin quad mkii. After I pull my hair out for a while on the learning curve, it should be fun. :-)
Acoustica Mixcraft is a good DAW to start off with too. I use Logic pro x now though.
I honestly have no idea of how these programs work, because im used to just recording and let them others do, what i can‘t.
But since I‘m Trying to be on ma own, which of these 3 programs would you recommend
I'd like to know to, i need something compatible with Antares Autotune Ext+
Can i connect midi keyboard in cubase elements
yes
Pro-Jects: Professional Jects
For a Voice Over Artist which Cubase to purchase?
Hello, if you are doing voice over and ADR, then we will recommend you to have a look into Nuendo: ua-cam.com/video/PmiYI3xbubs/v-deo.html www.steinberg.net/en/products/nuendo/automatic_dialog_recording.html
Elements does not have VariAudio?
Just making sure before buying - Elements includes possibility to add 3rd party right? Like Massive/Serum
Hi, yes it supports all VSTs, like any other DAW.
Vsti 2 no it doesn't
Minus anything 32-bit yeah (idk why they removed support for that pretty annoying but oh well)
@@jackieAZ what do you mean by that? in elements you canot record at 32bit?
Marios Pavlou I mean that you need jbridge in order to use 32-bit vsts

I own cubase elements 7 noow and I saw that it's only 19,99 euros for Elements 10.5 when I choose it as an upgrade, is this real? To get the whole thing?
Hello, yes, that is correct. Cubase Elements 10.5 update from Elements 7 costs only 19.99€ You can find it here: new.steinberg.net/cubase/?_sp=fc22344e-0632-42eb-b3e0-c892abcaed4b.1576139508114&buy=cubase-elements-10.5
Hate to bother, but I use to use cakewalk back in 2004 when I first started, I'm making a return and cant seem to find which software to go with. So I decided to go with cubase but which one? I'm only into recording rappers and singers, mixing and mastering. And beats off a midi pad. I dont need plug ins for instruments. Please help
Hello, you can find a detailed comparison chart on the link below. It also depends on how many audio, MIDI and Instrument tracks you need. new.steinberg.net/cubase/compare-editions/
Does elements allow you to bring in 3rd party vsti's?
yes
Will I be able to open Cubase 11 projects in version 10.5?
Yes, but you will loose access to all tools and features added in C11
Can you begin with Elements, upgrade to Artist and THEN to Pro? My tech at Sweetwater was unsure if you could upgrade from Elements to Pro but if you gradually went through the upgrade process from one to the other- could you do that? Thanks!
yes you can start with a more basic version and upgrade
Does cubase artist contain everything cubase elements contains plus more?
Hi, yes.
Without Tempo Track feature in Elements, is there a way to fade out my songs at the end?
Hi, you don't need the Tempo Track to fade out your song. You need to use the automation track for volume for the main Stereo Output. A tip will be, go to the MixConsole, enable write automation for the master out fader and perform the fade out, then the folder for input/output Channels will appear on your project page.
@@Cubase Thanks Admin, I got it a bit mixed up in my mind (i.e. thre graph and creating of points/dots on it). My real question was without Tempo track, I am I able to alter the tempo of the song like the say for example if the chorus of song is a different tempo to the verses, using that graph feature with dots?
Well... first.... if you can't side-chain it's a huge difference ;)
what difference between nuendo and cuebase ?.... very confuse
Extended version of Cubase
Here is my question I used to use Cubase 5 but I'm considering upgrading. I;m doing rec, mixing, mastering and also sent my projects for re amping. whitch version would you suggest?
Would love to see their answer .. doin the same as you so their answer would be helpful .. thinkin about buying cubase artist
I would recommend Artist or Elements for that. Mainly Artist. Artist has basically all the audio mastering you need, and power. You only need Pro if you are doing virtual insturments and the best mastering.

Seems like if you just buy the pro you'll have everything. So what's the point of debating?
The price.
Coming from Sonar Platinum, my biggest issue with using Cubase is that it is not intuitive in any sense.
It may have tons of functionality, but unless you've been a steady Cubase user for 10 or more years, there's a STEEP learning curve. You will spend hours in utter frustration trying to figure out Cubase if you're used to more intuitive DAWs like Sonar.
And the differences are?

Hi BrandNew, If you purchased the wrong product in our store, contact either or our technical support who will be happy to help you with an exchange.
I've had Cubase Artist and it' some solid software although it's not my primary daw. If anyone wants to buy my Cubase Artist 9.5 license, DM me since I don't use it anymore.
can you gave it to me for free?
All I need is a side by side comparison between each of the three versions via a diagram. Studio One has this and is also a three tiered platform. This video's background music is too loud and busy (there's vocals!) and it made it hard for me to keep up without getting distracted. I sat through this whole thing waiting to know what the cheapest version of the DAW was which supported external plugins, and that information isn't directly given out at any point until the narrator starts talking about Pro's Control Room. The website is also a great example of form over function- too much time convincing me that Cubase is a sleek and trendy platform without simple explanations about what's included via text. I've been a Cubase SX3 and 5 user since 2009- Cubase has been with me since I began- but Steinberg is losing me with all this flashiness. I need a program for work, not impressing my Instagram followers.
Hello, with Cubase Elements 10 you can use 3rd party plug-ins and VSTi's. If you want a simple comparison chart, just follow this link: new.steinberg.net/cubase/compare-editions/
@@Cubase why no smart edit tool link in elements? Your support team was also unaware of this. Come on.
It looks magnificent but I soon as I start using...I find myself overwhelmed. Am I alone? It just is so unbelievably complicated or is it me? I'm taking things too seriously? Feedback welcome.
You are not alone. Cubase 7 going upwards -very complicated. I write music using piano row in Fl Studio easily but piano row in Cubase Elements is slow and complicated. Cubase 5 is the best. I love Cubase 5. Why is steinberg comlicating things?
Just enjoy and take your time I started learning how to lay down drums.its a good starting point
I think I'll stick with 5 thanks. More flashing colours, go faster stripes & saying awesome a few times, really doesn't do it for me.
I was interested in Cubase, so I downloaded "Elements", which is the only version free and without key protection. I started to create a drum track. In drum track editor, it was one measure, but when I went back to the arrange window, it was just part of a measure. This means that you cannot use the drum editor in Cubase. And it means that this software is bugged!
Hello, not at all, it could be that you just changed the quantize value or the time line settings. The drum editor in Cubase is working absolutely fine.
@@Cubase The MIDI drum rhythm builder is fantastic when you learn how to use it to its full potential. The only real limit is the user's imagination / knowledge of how rhythms / drums work together. My partner has created some incredible drum tracks for her metal music.
