Hey, I'm 20 years old and have just recently graduated with a BSc from The University of Waterloo in Canada. I am very new to notability and this video was a great help! I can tell you had so much to share that you went very fast. Had to replay several times to catch what you were doing to get the results you r were showing. Other than going to fast, The video was awesome! @@MikeyAtalla Long since been out of college but, I have integrated the program in my everyday business noting my service calls. I also send copies of the call list to employees that are also running calls. We update each others list to delete or add new ones. This is working great! I would not have known the value of this program without your help. Also, I have purchased a pen and keyboard and put that generation 6 iPad to good use. This thing has been laying on my desk since I was talked into buying it during a phone upgrade a few years back. Thanks again!!

Thank you for an excellent session. You are easy to listen to. Just an observation: You should have split this video into 2 session which will enable you to speak a bit more slowly and slow your mouse down so that we may see which icon you are clicking on.

Great review tutorial.
I also being using it for some time but I encounter a situation that I am not sure if the app is capable to handle.
My situation is that if I am writing a document with the pen, and is handwriting, suddenly in the middle of the document I need to add few more lines of notes, I don’t seem to figure a way to do it in the handwriting format, on the text I just out the cursor where I want to insert TYE NEW TEXT BUT IN THE HANDWRINGING ?
On small jobs I used before tye “lasso” and drag the writing in the bottom to leave sufficient space to my new writing and, works for small text… but when you already have 5, 8 pages and you like to insert it in the first page? Some how I will need to “lasso” the rest of the 7 pages and move it down maybe 3 lines. ? I don’t see the way to do it.
I hope I am clear n my question… I hope you can help or direct me to the right community or support to help.

Wow the importing pdfs tool is sooo useful I didn’t know about it. By the way, how can I add a picture from my camera roll on to a note? I did it but I can’t move the picture freely or center it on my note wherever I want, it just moves like it would on Microsoft word aligning just with the text. Is there a way I can do this or is it by default?
Yeah I use it so much, It’s so helpful!! Try zooming out of the page and doing it from there. It might be easier that way. Other than that, it’s like Microsoft word :(

How can you sync so that you can view on your computer?
Would it be worth recording the lecture using the microphone though? I'm not sure how good it'll be discerning the lecturer's voice from the other background noises, especially if you're not sitting right up at the front.
Can you explain the ordering of layers etc? I cant seem to get typed text to show on top of a shape that is filled. Is the only way to create items from bottom layer to top or are all text boxes always at the bottom layer?

once you add a recording to a note...how do you remove that recording if you dont want it?
There should be a drop down menu for your to delete it

how do you add new lines between a document if you want to add new information to your note.
You will have to add a separate page and then write in it. In the menu on the side, you can add a paper :)
Lasso what is after where you want space and drag lasso down as you need.
How do you change the default size of the text and font? It opens up with a large font

I am new in using notability, for just a month. I kind a feel disturb with the shutter sound when I am taking pictures to add while taking a note in classes. Would you please share how to turn it off?
Hey Herly, if you turn your iPad to silent it should turn the sound off. You can do that in settings :)
I’ve tried that before, but it didn’t work. If I choose silent profile, it will turn off the shutter sound when i use the camera app, however it didn’t turn the shutter sound off when i take a picture using notability.
Is it worth paying the Subscription, I didnt buy Notability prior to the change from Lifetime to Subscription.
I've been sticking to goodnotes 5.
I think it’s worth it for sure, it’ll make you more efficient and save a lot of time in my opinion so I think the money is DEFINTLEY worth it!

Hello ,please how do you move the pen,eraser ,audio recording,pen etc from the bottom of the note to the top when writing?

Hey, I’m really sorry to hear that :( the same thing happened to me in first year and from then, I made an effort to make sure EVERYTHING WAS BACKED UP
Actually, notability can't find "text in images", but goodnotes can.
GoodNotes allows you to search

you can share a copy, not the original. You cannot group edit the same note.(08:22)
Great that you are prepared to post videos like this and you clearly know your subject...but you talk so fast and skip from one bit to the next, it's impossible to see what you have clicked to get to each screen. I was too frustrated after just a couple of minutes having to pause and rewind and still not able to see what you have clicked to get to each screen! Please - to make having spent your time worthwhile, speak more slowly and make it obvious exactly where you are pressing to get to each stage. Thank you.
Hey Mike, I’m really sorry about that - thank you for letting me know! I’ll make an active effort to go slower on my future video, again sorry about the hassle. There should be an option to play the video at 0.75x or 0.5x the speed of that helps in the meantime
