My music teacher always told me you have to play so easy that people who listen to you want to run to the music store to buy a musical instrument and start playing not realizing that it’s countless hours of work and this is exactly what Claudio does!
That's a very good point , when I saw the first big casio key board my buddy had , he played prince so well on it I ran and could only buy the display model that's all that was left casio had swept the country with their new board and it was work and dedication to play songs easy like my friend played them but guess what after so long I could walk into a store , go back to the keyboard section and pull a crowd back there , that's all the patrons were interested in was watching how easily I played the stores keyboards , the dealers loved it even more lmaoooo !
I've been hearing this for 40+ years, I'm a bass player and I never knew the rhythm section grooved like that. It think it's amazing how much that guitar hook became the song. Thank you for breathing new intelligence into this song.
Maurice Gibb was an underrated bass player. STRONG sense of groove. And Barry could really write a tune. And also, I'm very disappointed you didn't sing, C'mon, lets hear that falsetto!
Absolutely this!! Drummer and bass here and I had no idea. I didn't even recognise the bassline when he played it in the other video until the whole thing came alive and you just thought "I had no idea!!"
When I see these reconstructions, I'm constantly blown away by how complex/layered the wonderful music actually is. No wonder these bands had huge hits.
@@EphemeralProductions automatically shifting the timing of the notes to line up with the grid of the project tempo. Basically, it's auto tune for drums. Instead of fixing the pitch, it's fixing the timing.
Can we appreciate how insanely good the mixing on this is? Doctor Mix lives up to his name. A career in the industry has definitely done him more justice than most. Amazing breakdown and assembly of a classic. Love it!
My 1 year old daughter cant get enough of the Bee Gees - Stayin Alive. I heard it so much that I started to pick up the individual instruments - and wow so unique when heard separate. The Rhodes piano is by far the chillest part and my favorite. I'm glad I found your mix. Kudos
I lift my hat to you, Claudio. A truly multi faceted musician and most excellent tutor and mentor to us with less ability. What an accurate remake of an already classic track.
This works really nicely as an instrumental, especially if you can mentally imagine Barry's vocals over the top. Top level work again from the Doctor and the guy on guitar. It's only when you deconstruct the Bee Gees' music and recreate it layer by layer that you realise just how much skill went in to the original tracks by the Gibb brothers. More 70s disco and funk, please Doc.
If anyone disbelieved VST's could sound as good as real instruments, this video blew that theory right out of the water. Well done Claudio. You REALLY brought those strings and brass sounds to life.
Absolutely disagreed. If you find those strings realistic it means you have never listened to a real orchestra. The VST's they have used for strings sounds grotesque.
You are one deeply committed dude. Love this! I'm pigeonholed as "The Bee Gees Guy," as a live performer. Lol. Gonna take this out for a vocal test drive.
Oh man, your rendition is so perfect! You captured the feeling and the groove of the original song. Great, great job. i'm looking forward to see the next episodes.
Claudioooooooo!! What a great classic. Still gets your foot tappin when listening. Makes you wanna strut down the street like Travolta with your collar popped!!! Appreciate it more seeing it broke down 💪😎
Amazing rendition Broden - Stayin Alive was certainly ahead of its time studio-wise and is a masterpiece of Barry's falsetto vocals and 22 tracks of terrific studio engineering created by masterminds Karl Richardson and Alphy Galuten, which was just rolled out at the time. In a 2017 poll, this all time classic was ranked #1 as the most played track by all radio stations around the globe by a wide margin.
It’s been done before but hearing the tracks to this tune being added individually (pads and changes first) make it hard to suppress a “HEY! TEACHER! LEAVE THEM KIDS ALONE!”
So glad you got the big long crash on the 2nd beat every few bars in the latter part bang on. It's one of the most standout parts of the song for me and I've noticed some live versions don't have it.
These videos are outstanding. It’s literally like watching a master painter painting a beautiful portrait and we see each layer going on. Fantastic talent.
That was great. It brought me back to my neighbourhood in Brooklyn New York where they filmed the movie. and Yes, I have gone to the club with the illuminated dance floor 2001 Odyssey. Thanks for the video.
Its THAT beautiful, it made me cry, how much work this has to be... i want to be a producer too and next to a 40 hours/week job i try all the time to learn mix and master. You seem so happy with what you are doing
As soon as i read the title of this video, i knew it would have a lot of tracks. Listening to the original with headphones on, there is so much going on with it. Amazing job
Wow! I am digging this one. I love the BeeGees. That was very good Dr Mix. I listen too it over and over again and...yeah I sing, I have a pretty good falsetto too. ( I play all instruments as well) very fun very fun. 🤟😆🤙

very brilliant!! I think that this good recreation demonstrate that when you mix digital instruments with warm, iconic, analog instruments, the result is always hyper credible... maybe the trick is not go 100% digital, even using the best dsp and vst

Goosebump music! That Rhodes sound is so nice. One doesn't hear it in contemporary "music"...
Goosebump music is the right word
We need that guitar bass on it's own on a one hour loop.
Maurice Gibb was an underrated bass player. STRONG sense of groove. And Barry could really write a tune. And also, I'm very disappointed you didn't sing, C'mon, lets hear that falsetto!

Some music doesn’t work without lyrics/vocals. This one does! Great Claudio!
I don't care who you are or how old you may be. If this song doesn't make you groove and strut, then you are dead inside.
Awesome Mix Dr M
When I see these reconstructions, I'm constantly blown away by how complex/layered the wonderful music actually is. No wonder these bands had huge hits.
More disco and funk, please! 👏🏻
TIMELESS Bee gees!!
Doctor Mix is a better drummer than me, and he uses his fingers. Your pocket is real deep and those drums sound so slick!
Its quantized
@@puffnpluky76 almost fully quantised. But I still made the sounds, played it, and decided how much to quantise it by ;)

No crap this makes my phone speakers sound far more premium than they are. Perfect equing and balacing
The best part of Staying Alive is the Rhodes piano. It cuts through the mix.
When is the rhodes not the best part?
@Simone Buralli done :)
@@ActuallySettle This is the proper response.
If you haven't already you need to watch Ray Manzarek reliving Riders On The Storm.
No the best per is that you can sing the wall over it😎
WOW, WOW and WOW again! What a WOWnderful remake of Stayin Alive! Congratulations DOC!👏🏻 Looking forward to the video tutorials.🎶🎵🎹🎸

I can imagine driving on a quiet road, on a long distance trip, about 2:30am listening to that. Great funky sound.
This works really nicely as an instrumental, especially if you can mentally imagine Barry's vocals over the top. Top level work again from the Doctor and the guy on guitar. Thats hell of talent amd hard work those days....... Definitely the Golden age of music
Find the Stayin Alive vocal track and you have it.
Thank you Dr. Mix. I do DJ for private parties and I used this track few times; the crowd's reaction is always cool, they love it.

Okay, 1. Excellent! 2. The fact that you can make synth horns and strings sound that good is unbelievable !

This whole album opened my little child head to the meaning of soul music. I can listen to it start to finish anytime.
Great work.
