The extra devoted fans were being obnoxiously loud, screaming and shouting when other countries were given points and such As a Finn, I was embarrassed So I'm glad for the hosts for doing their best to try and keep things level
Loren won once so it was a known name... it's like bringing maneskin back for Italy. Ofc they'll win again even with a boring song as it was Loren's this year.. would it be fair tho?
Nothing could have prepared me for these results. Austria, Serbia and many fan favorites are ranked so low... And Sweden got all of the jury votes, even though the public wanted Kaarja

376 points from the televote for Finland, with only 37 countries. That's a HUGE achievement, I mean HUGE. They should be completely proud, the juries will kiss Sweden's ass no matter what, but what Käärijä has done is just beyond impressive. * Edit cause I didn't expect so many replies: the international vote can give a maximum of 12 televote points, like one country, so there were actually like 38 countries voting, still less than in most of the years. That makes Finland's public score the third highest ever in numbers (Kalush got 439, Rybak 378, Salvador Sobral 376), and the second highest proportionally. An incredible achievement in fact. And this is the second Swedish victory given by the juries in 8 years.
Glad the jury voted for the better singer. The public voted for performance, not singing. People seem to like a flamboyant performance, ignoring the actual singing. Glad there is a jury to offset the public vote.
Remember that being second place does not diminish an entry at all. Sweden joins the ranks with Kalush Orchestra, Maneskin, Duncan, etc. and gets to host the next Eurovision. But also, Finland gets cemented in the second-place hall of fame, with acts like Verka, mAnga, Eleni Foureir and Sam Ryder. Both are special in their own way. But SECOND PLACE IS NOT A LOSS! 💚 Also, Serbia Austria Germany Sovenia WTF?! (I keep adding more and more to this) And Beijba as well!
Finland should have won, when Finland got 143 points more, than Sweden, but because of the jury Finland lost, so I think the jury should be thrown out of Eurovision. Loreen now won twice and so its not that exciting winning twice, while Finland song had better background music and vibe on it.
Regardless of the result can we just appreciate what a show the United Kingdom and the BBC put on. Much shorter notice than most other countries have and look at the incredible hosts, the amazing stage design, the touching interval and introduction acts that celebrated Ukrainian culture and the level of enthusiasm from not just Liverpool (as someone who visited, it was incredible and emotional spectacle) but the wider UK. It was something the whole country can be proud of which is something we have not been able to say for a long time. Bravo BBC. Now it's time to win it again.
I was there as well, literally the best week of my life. From the national lottery welcome concert on the Sunday to being in the arena for the three rehearsal shows. Went on my own but I met so many people, and the city was so welcoming. Miss it so much ❤
So to those who are saying that loreen also got many points. You have a point. However the jury created such a wide gap between sweden and all other countires, that no realistic public voting could have surpassed it. If it was a normal gap ( and im not saying only finland should have been 2nd in jury voting) kaarija would have passed loreen with many points. There was a 200 points gap in jury voting, which is not both ideal or normal.
@@AshwinRamdin well a song is not only good if a famous person with a subjectively enjoyable voice sang it. Finland was the true winner of people's hearts because his song was catchier and his performance made people feel something. A whole crowd shouting "Cha Cha Cha" should be enough to understand that his song was an absolute banger and crowd favourite while her song may be slightly enjoyable but will probably soon be forgotten because it's a sadder, low quality version of Euphoria. So if you want to judge a song by the voice and the person who sang it then go ahead.
Cha cha cha just received the second highest score from the public. That's what we call winning. Lordi, Blind Channel and now Käärija. Finland knows how to win the hearts ♥️ 🇫🇮 Lots of love from Turkey guys, keep rocking the esc!
1 year later and the UK got it perfect. They didn't take anything away from Ukraine and embraced the friendship of the two countries. The hosts were amazing!!
2:50:24 The fact that Daði Freyr brought his wife as a background dancer absolutely melts my heart! 3 year of ESC and on all of them he still wants to show how crazy in love with her he is!
Joker out from Slovenia is so underrated! I mean the song has a beautiful vibe and Bojan's voice is amazing! The running order did them very dirty. They deserved to be in top 10. Maybe they did not win the contest but they won many fans around the world! GOOD JOB GUYS YOU ARE THE BEST 💘💘❤️🔥
The crowd was kind of rude last night. It’s okay to support your favourite act, but when someone gets 12 points you applaud for them and not for another act.
This does suck that Finland didnt get the win but he became a star from this show. Hopefully he is able to do bigger things after and show that you dont need to win in order to become a superstar
this can work the channel ARD over here in germany kicked the band electric callboy out of the esc preliminary decision and now they r big stars .. biggest concert with 16000 ppl
Thanks to the BBC and Suspilna UA for the great show and the work done. Music for the show, post-card music (Pianoboy - Dmitry Shurov), interval acts in the semi-finals and in the final were also done equally (Show producer Dmitry Nanev). Something BBC and something Suspilne UA. The logo and animation were made by 2 design studios, one from Liverpool and the other from Kyiv. The work of cameras for the 6th year in a row at Eurovision, video cranes, cameras that ride on rails and a spider camera that flies under the roof of the arena, these are the technologies and operators of the Kyiv company OperTec. The show turned out great and it was made by 2 countries 💛💙❤💜

a month later, and Albania's performance still makes me emotional. i don't know the language so I have no idea what they're singing about, but just by looking at them, i can see that they love each other very much. they look genuinely happy and to be here and you can see that Albina is failing not to smile so much. i just absolutely love this song, and above all, the performance ❤❤❤
I feel so disappointed right now. ): But I'm still very proud of Käärija, he was public's favorite even when he was competing with such an icon as Loreen is. Congrats to both! 💚💚💚
@@nelly-gu2qq Good thing is I'm not trying to make you laugh, I'm trying to be a good loser and respectful with Loreen and her place in Eurovision's history. :)
We wanted Eskimo Callboys for Germany, but the Television deny them their chance, because they are no good enought for the radio because of their sound. Very funny if you see what the Television send instead of them xD That is also the reason normal people in germany dgaf on the ESC. The BBC pendant in gemany decide this. Nothing to do with normal peole of germany.
For me, Käärijä is like Verka Serduchka. It also took second place and I think people will listen to it for many years and say that it is one of the best numbers in the history of Eurovision. My congrats, Finland from Ukraine🇺🇦, you will always be my winner💙💛🇫🇮💚💚
2:17:24 - 2:19:35 crowd not going silent for 2 minutes straight, hosts baffled how to calm them down was definitely a highlight of the night. Only UK fans have such insane energy.
Rigged electoral system. If the jury wants somebody to win, it will win. Not saying Loreen was bad, her song was just mediocre. And Käärijä was not best musically, but was the most exciting contestant out of all which shows on massive amount of televotes.
I am keen on Moldova’s performance. They were full of beans. I was stunned by singer’s upbeat energy. My friends were glued to the screen all time. Honestly, I listen this song 24/7
@@user-hr4rd5jy5j Glad the jury made the difference. At least they know good singing. The public always votes for a flamboyant song. His performance was great, but not his singing. It should be about the song, not the performance.
Juri is a bunch of pop lovers with no taste. Finland, you're a real winner. You were incredible! Germany, you did your best. It's just the wrong public. Norway, you were underestimated. You're great! Your songs are a real power. Croatia, you've made a masterpiece. People love you! Please, go on!
and 90% of the viewers of this contest are low pop lovers as well i mean you cant tell me that Austrlia and Germany deserved that treatment, both from Jury and public voters. Finland just got robbed from the Jury but the public vote was fair and deserved.

@@mozzarellasticksenjoyer Germany have a national selection but the voting system is just dumb and favors the televote who ultimately ends up choosing the worst songs, Germany could've done very well with the jury winner but their televote selected the 2 worst songs they had to offer and lord of the lost ended up representing them and ofcourse finished last
Yass, Australia has a very memorizing song that I will definitely continue to listen. They deserved higher points but Loreen also deserves the 1st place❤
Prog just doesn't do that well these days unless it's like TOOL which is popular by reputation. On the surface the Aussie song is very simple. But if you keep listening to it, It actual has some pretty clever instrumentation. But to be fair ESC is not the kind of setting where people will just focus on songwriting. Catchy songs and fun shows are going to stand out.
To add diversity to comments: - Mengoni is still as cool as 10 years ago. Still in love with hia voice. - Estonia, such a small but charming country, manages to provide nice high-quality ballads over several Eurovisions. - Julia Sanina - did such a great job as a host, she was so lively. And if someone hasn't heard The Hardkiss, where she is a frontsinger, really, REALLY recommended.
@@Tiger_42_ his nickname is literally "Bloody Sport" in russian. Their "culture" thinks that the only thing that matters is injuring and maiming people.
Congrats to 🇫🇮 on massive 376 points, they deserved to win. Loreen was also great but this song isn’t even close to Euphoria and I think it wont be remembered for a long time
Germany was really underrated. I wasn't surprised with the results though, I predicted both Finland and Sweden very high although Finland was my favorite 🔥 Cha Cha Cha
I listened to all the songs and I liked Germany's song the most. 1:53:30 I thought it would win the Eurovision, but then it became the last. I don’t know what to say about eurovision scoring system, an injustice that causes disappointment. But there is no doubt that Lord of the Lost’s performance is one of the best Eurovision performances ever. Greetings from Turkey
The true winner of this show is that gorgeous intro version of ‚Stefania‘ … mixing all styles of music… Just incredible and touching! United by music… This song turned into a hymn for Europe‘s freedom and democracy this way!!! Chapeau
I am not surprised at Eurovision not giving points to a Metal act, and promote half-naked women and same-looking boys singing ballads that put me to sleep.
As for France, she shouldn't have stayed elevated on stage. We needed her swinging her hips at least to make it pretty for the public. She was literally static.
@@KassandraFuria13 Nope, they did well. The music might not be your taste but his vocals were on point, song is decent, they put on a show. It was not deserved, this no way was the worst of the night. Crazy
The problem was that their song could have over the top dance sequence. Sadly, they didn't. I know the song is taxing for the singer to dance around the stage. They should have gotten flamenco dancers on the side.
That is just disrespectful of everybody she fliped off. Other contestants received few points, i dont talk about the merit here, just saying that others took the L and accepted better than she did.
Maybe Slovenia couldn't win, but they will stay my favourite ones of that eurovision forever and I wish it will be possible to see Joker Out on another eurovision once again. Lots of love from Poland! 🇵🇱❤️🇸🇮
As a swede I must say I am sad that Finland didn’t win, it was by far my favorite one, sometimes I just wish only the television votes existed because The jury votes feels so rigged and Sweden keep gaining points 😂
As a Finn, I'm glad Finland didn't win The extent and loudness of its fans has gotten to a scary level. Like really, it was overwhelming and a bit too much for me to say the least. I'm glad things can start calming down now. I Hope things calm down.
Lets be realistic we all have our choices but man you can not deny how good Loreen is she is out of this world and that's why she won this is about music talent and that she is full of! 🎉
German here, my favs were Finland, Czechia and Norway. Also love to Croatia, the bar I watched the ESC at loved it. I'm surprised that France got such a low place? The votes definitely felt weird this year
Because they had been „weird“… Ich finde das Juryvoting irgendwie alles andere als fair ich meine c‘mon wenn ein paar Jurys dafür sorgen können dass ein Lied knapp 300 Punkte ist es einfach mehr als unfair
I don't know what the jury gave their points for. Even judging by her voice, Loreen sang poorly, in my opinion. It felt like she stepped in wrong somewhere, took a note wrong somewhere, but still damn 340 points from the jury, I understand +-200, and that's because of a song that fits the Eurovision format. But we need something new. Finland - you are my winners!!!! I gave you my vote❤
@@ivydark9741 So? Nightwish and Rammstein top the european charts all the time too, and THEY don't need Eurovision or being played on mainstream radio to death.
This was the most chaotic vote in ESC history. It actually reminds me of 2014 (Konchita's win), when some favourites were lacking in live performance and fell out. I love Loreen, but I needed her to deliver more edge and excitement. That shows in her winning by the skin of her teeth.
She won because she's the better singing. I'm glad the jury can make that distinction. The public just loves a flamboyant performance and have a terrible ear for good singing.
@@AshwinRamdin I would just like to remind you that this is a SONG contest not a SINGING contest, the votes should go out to the best song and this is highly subjective. Germany and Serbia deserved so much better. Loved their performance! But really, I wanted Findland to win this year (even tho our own Czech song was overall my favourite - their presentation was a bit lacking unfortunately). Findland had AMAZING energy and they really seemed to care about the competition. Respect to the singer who won but she either seemed high, extremely tired or just bored out of her mind even when she found out she's about to win. Anyway, much love from the Czech Republic!
I understand that a jury is needed to prevent the competition from turning into a circus, but the 50/50 system doesn't work when it completely turns the scoreboard on its head. The jury feels more drawn towards certain countries, can disagree with the public to an unreasonable degree, and the points are based on the music taste of a few individuals. EBU should start to consider a 40/60 or 30/70 system to give more power to the people, while still ensuring quality productions.
The voting of 2022 showed the people need less votes. Sympathy votes don't belong on a singing festival. The UK was robbed because of the public vote. People have short term memories.
This is the most sensible comment I've seen since earlier about jury and public voting. Jury can't be removed, it's there to keep the balance. I agree with how you'd like to split the votes. I didn't like last year's winning song. I want to believe it is a good one but my winner was Sweden's Hold Me Closer, then Space Man by UK next. It's also likely people voted for UA due to sympathy, but that is a big, blaring-in-your-face reason the public doesn't always make the greatest choice.
Finland would have won the competition by far if only the public vote had been taken into account. It's amazing how many people cheered for Käärijä and like to them, he is the real winner for me!❤🇫🇮 Congratulations!🎉🍾🥂
Or if the jury was more objective. Come on. EVERYBODY giving Sweden 12 points? That can’t be honest. They simply didn’t give other countries any chance.
”Thank you Loreen! Now we can have our special 50 years anniversary ESC show. As we have been planning for a while now. Also we want to thank the jury… ” - ABBA
It's a little bit unfair in my opinion to give eurovision winners to come back again. I really wanted to see another Finland win because they really deserved it, they always send good songs.
Yeah, I agree. We want to see new faces! But get Loreen instead... Winners shouldn't be allowed to compete again, because always when they appear they get gigantic number of votes from jury (like here) and have a gap in between them and the other competitors, and this gives them advantage... Sadly it's already done and we can't do anything about it.
@@antoninaforyt6928 it depends tho, just look at norway 2018, he ended up in 20th place or something. So the song really has to be good again for you to get in the top 5 even if you are a past winner
@@theodorepark58 Yeah, I even forgot Rybak was back at 2018 Eurovision... But I think that was an exception. His song was really unlike fairytale (but catchy, I liked that song), while Loreen's is extremely similar (in my opinion) to her wining position (same genre and general vibe).
@@taremipp 1. Both his name and surname are common names in Cyprus. 2. He wouldn't be allowed to sing "almost in playback". 3. It’s so sad to see how Germany always gets almost no votes And let’s be honest it doesn’t even have anything to do with the songs Germany is always last place and it’s unfair. I am from Germany and I fairly have to say that this song isn’t my fav either but they worked so hard for this and have so many fans and the fact that we’re always last place has nothing to do with the songs… It’s the fact that we’re German Would be nice to see our artists getting the votes and appreciation they deserve
It is unfair that Germany always automatically qualifies with their horrible songs and take away a starting position from countries that deserve to qualify. They should have to qualify in the semifinals like everybody else and drop out there.
Apparently she's literally won Eurovision before (in 2012)... She's already well known and established in the music industry. Like, imagine if UK sent in Harry Styles, this is kind of the same thing lol... How can this be allowed?
Omg I’m crying. The hurt. The pain. How can this be allowed? My feelings. Are everything. Like imagine that many artists are already famous in their home countries before they apply for their national contest?! Or get famous there after winning?! Or they’ve been in other artist tv shows like the voice. You just have no idea how many there are. Hardly any artist are not known in their home countries. Yes Loreen won 2012. It’s a well known fact. But she’s second person ever to win twice and no one cries over that first artist. It’s not The European Emotional Contest. It’s the Eurovision Song Contest. Period. People vote what they like most same with the juries. It’s nothing to be but hurt about taking it that serious. Complaining over nonsense is exhausting for the rest of us. Like have you tried just enjoying the show and be happy for the winner? Seems like Gen TikTok is unable doing that. Says more about you, not about the ESC.
@@AnnaKaunitz Okay? You're projecting onto me but sure. This was my first time watching Eurovision and I was just surprised that they would allow something like this. I thought the point was mostly to pick a less well known artists so that they can gain some exposure and "have their shot at fame"? She already won with a song similar to this one, she already had her shot. Her career doesn't seem to have progressed that much after winning, but what matters is that she HAD HER CHANCE... Why is she back? I'm sure there are other artists in Sweden which deserve a chance more than someone who already had it. Also artists being sort of known in their country and LITERALLY HAVING WON EUROVISION BEFORE are two very different things. By the way, it took me a very long time of scrolling to find out about this "well known fact" that she won before, not everyone is as invested in this as you and remembers who won Eurovision in 2012... I don't think it was a fair win now and I don't think it was a fair win before if this isn't the first time it's happened. It's okay to like Laureen, agree to disagree. Have a good day.
@@vanilla7349 people are highly invested in Eurovision as you said, people tend to get overheated about valid opinions and wonderings. You're all good :)
@Vanilla, in the old days, the song contest was so much better and more just. The song was not allowed to be known beforehand, the singer not a known professional, all songs in their original language(!) and the text was important as was the voice! I used to love watching it, but have not done so in decades! It's just a freak show and made for the 14-25(?).
@@MIKRASIATISSA we watched two different live performances lol, she was weak, kinda off-tune at times and struggling to get her own vocal chords to cooperate in the final
Right?? Spain and Portugal… what happened??? Especially with the “rest of the world” vote now available … so many supporters out there and such a low score! We had great entries and they both seemed to be loved by the public. Wtf?!
Thank you, that was devastating! When you check the views and likes of her performances, it doesn't make any sense…and how could the jury not rate her vocals either!? Who are these jurors??

💀🗑️
the whole world can vote. the amount of participating countries has nothing to do with it.
Who would listen to this on radio or everywhere? Just BS
Glad the jury voted for the better singer. The public voted for performance, not singing. People seem to like a flamboyant performance, ignoring the actual singing. Glad there is a jury to offset the public vote.

I think it was planned from the beginning to make Sweden the winner. Jury should not have the right to vote and it should be public only.
The jury choose the way better singer. The public choose for performance.
@@AshwinRamdinyeh, this is what esc is about, performance ✨
@@AshwinRamdin well a song is not only good if a famous person with a subjectively enjoyable voice sang it. Finland was the true winner of people's hearts because his song was catchier and his performance made people feel something. A whole crowd shouting "Cha Cha Cha" should be enough to understand that his song was an absolute banger and crowd favourite while her song may be slightly enjoyable but will probably soon be forgotten because it's a sadder, low quality version of Euphoria. So if you want to judge a song by the voice and the person who sang it then go ahead.
I'm mostly upset that the juries gave votes to their neighbors. The jury vote is there to discourage that.

Rigged electoral system. If the jury wants somebody to win, it will win. Not saying Loreen was bad, her song was just mediocre. And Käärijä was not best musically, but was the most exciting contestant out of all which shows on massive amount of televotes.

Completely agree with this!
I think jury must be. Must be balance.
@@AshwinRamdin Англия была лучшей в прошлом году. Я тоже рыдала, что она не получила 1 место.

I miss this year, 2023s esc was the best and every single artist was amazing and best friends with everyone and I say this now after esc 2024
Finland WON IN OUR HEARTS 💚💚💚💚
”Thank you Loreen! Now we can have our special 50 years anniversary ESC show. As we have been planning for a while now. Also we want to thank the jury… ” - ABBA
Thank you ABBA your song could be used in a Loreen song .😏
Well said!
Hahaha. Yes.
ABBA have already said they don't want to appear at Eurovision next year.
@@occono3543 😂😂 I wish I could believe that
It's a little bit unfair in my opinion to give eurovision winners to come back again. I really wanted to see another Finland win because they really deserved it, they always send good songs.
Everyone is welcome to send winners back if they want. Some countres have done it before but only Johhny Logan has won for the second time.
He wasn't singing tho
@@antoninaforyt6928 it depends tho, just look at norway 2018, he ended up in 20th place or something. So the song really has to be good again for you to get in the top 5 even if you are a past winner
@@theodorepark58 Yeah, I even forgot Rybak was back at 2018 Eurovision... But I think that was an exception. His song was really unlike fairytale (but catchy, I liked that song), while Loreen's is extremely similar (in my opinion) to her wining position (same genre and general vibe).

Повністю згодна з Вами!🇺🇦🇪🇪
I AGREE. ESTONIA WINNER.
I agree too estonia was very good they deserved it !🇪🇪
I loved Estonia's performance so so much!!
Yeah I'm not typically soft 😂 but that song was beautiful
4 points to Cyprus from Greece was just a shock 😂
unfortunately is the jury votes ...people have nothing to do with this
Yeah, that might actually be the biggest bombshell of this year’s competition. 😄
he is not greek or chipriot... and he sang almost in playback.
@@taremipp 1. Both his name and surname are common names in Cyprus. 2. He wouldn't be allowed to sing "almost in playback". 3. Greece's jury has awarded every entry of Cyprus whether good or bad with 12 until now. They're just so petty that their garbage choice didn't make it through and decided to give Cyprus 4 points hoping people will focus on that instead of their nepo baby NQ.
Εγω σκέφτομαι τώρα αν είστε Κύπριοι ή Έλληνες και απλά τα γράφεται στα αγγλικά 😂
It’s so sad to see how Germany always gets almost no votes
And let’s be honest it doesn’t even have anything to do with the songs
Germany is always last place and it’s unfair.
I am from Germany and I fairly have to say that this song isn’t my fav either but they worked so hard for this and have so many fans and the fact that we’re always last place has nothing to do with the songs…
It’s the fact that we’re German
Would be nice to see our artists getting the votes and appreciation they deserve
Last year Germany had nice song I was disappointed that it was at the bottom. If someone else sang this song it would be higher for sure
Agree. Germany was for me very good this year.
It is unfair that Germany always automatically qualifies with their horrible songs and take away a starting position from countries that deserve to qualify. They should have to qualify in the semifinals like everybody else and drop out there.
@@Nikioko True, maybe that's why all the big 5 had shock results (besides UK which deserved to be last). Maybe voters are punishing them for that.
I had this in my top 5, I don't know what happened, I had expected it to go really high in the list.
The UK did such a great job hosting the Eurovision in 2023
Apparently she's literally won Eurovision before (in 2012)...
Absolutely
I don’t understand the obsession juries haves with Sweden
Congratulations Loren you deserved top5, but Finland is the winner
I totally agree with you. They were not fair
Loreen's live performance was obviously better.
@@MIKRASIATISSA yess
BEJBA🇵🇱👁👄👁
@@MIKRASIATISSA we watched two different live performances lol, she was weak, kinda off-tune at times and struggling to get her own vocal chords to cooperate in the final
So no one's going to talk about the points Spain's got???
So underrated.
Right?? Spain and Portugal… what happened??? Especially with the “rest of the world” vote now available … so many supporters out there and such a low score! We had great entries and they both seemed to be loved by the public. Wtf?!
Exactly.
I mean Spain got the least points from the audience, just 5 points. How can that be possible? This votes don't make any sense
@@elora06 I agree. I was watching from Canada and excited to vote this year. I put some votes towards Spain and to hear they got 5?
Totally agree. Everyone was supposed to be able to vote and yet only Spain receives those votes. It doesn't make sense
Thank you, that was devastating! When you check the views and likes of her performances, it doesn't make any sense…and how could the jury not rate her vocals either!? Who are these jurors??
In my opinion, the true winner is Estonia. Incredible show and song, especially its meaning! Sending love to Estonia from Kyrgyzstan!🇰🇬
I cannot believe Spain's televote result, this is beyond insane...
Me neither, I thought they might win 🙃
The same I say, it should be above the position that has remained.
What was the song about? It looked like magician practicing, no more than that
Yeah, we deserved 0.i can't believe some like that
The song of Spain was one more of their failures. It will take decades to find another SloMo by Chanel.
