- The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place on 22 May. 26 Acts will perform in the final of which 6 countries are already pre-qualified. This are host country The Netherlands and the so called 'Big 5' consisting of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. Ten acts will qualify from the first-Semi-Final and the remaining ten acts will qualify from the Second Semi-Final.

I'm Italian and I also liked last year's Eurovision much more. I can't explain the reasons well but last year I was able to perceive another atmosphere. Even the presenters were better, this year Cattelan and Mika are ok but Pausini is unsuitable as a presenter, Chantal Janzen is far superior
My issue with this years stage is the screen right behind the artists in the middle of the stage... it looks like huge pixels and reminds me of a really really low resolution screen

My favourite ever is Stockholm 2016. But this is up there, together with Tel Aviv 2019.
There was something very special about 2021's eurovision that made it stand out out of all the previous ones in history
Probably due to the world being in lockdown for 1 - 2 years, everyone was ready to let go and party.
It was done really well, not amazing on every aspect, but everything just worked really well. One of the best hosts...

The whole vibe was just pure joy and for me personally there are like 18-20 songs I really like, so it was also not a snooze fest of songs, the moment of countries like Ukraine when they received more points in the televotes and jumped into the higher ranks and the tensity in the end with the release of emotions and all the participants celebrating together, just wholesomeness packed into one night was really special, the best Eurovision for me personally.
Probably because of the fact that 95% of the songs were awesome, I had more than 7-8 winners that year.

Yes, that was ....unexpected. I felt sorry for the british guy, because he had not even points from the jurys. But it was somehow comforting that he was not the only one with zero points from the public, although I really am sorry for them. But they took it with some humour, that was good.
Uk with one of their better songs definitely didn't deserve 0 point overall.

It was the Song contest to ed all other Song contests. it was a real revival of the contest. I believe that year of hiatus due to Covid really gave everyone a good think of what they wanted to do and if you compare it to Israel 2 Years earlier, it really is like an epic reinvention we needed.

Honestly, no one does it like the Dutch when it comes to hosting these big ass parties. There's a reason their festivals have always been the biggest and most popular ones in the entire world. They just *GET* it - and they always get it right. They truly set the bar extremely high with ESC 2021 and I wouldn't mind them hosting another one in the near future!

Dutch knows how to celebrate something and to make parties 🎊! In France it’s soooo sad and boring…. That’s may be one of the reasons I love so much your country.

I also absolutely adored S10's song. Anouk was great too, and of course Duncan. You guys always send real quality music. I actually liked this year's song as well, I just feel your performers weren't "ready" yet.

hands down one of the best eurovision’s of all time. looking at it now this was so much more fun to watch than the eurovision this year in turin. especially the songs and hosting was just so much better last year. i think we should just let the netherlands win atleast every 5 years just so we can enjoy the amazing Eurovision like we did last year.

Italians do everything with a different spirit, love, passion, excitement. You have seen fireworks, lights, a waterfall, the green room made like an Italian garden, international hosts singing and dancing, the opening ceremony in one of the best places ever seen, spectacular outfits, and Italian people so nice and cheerful! When was the last time ESC hosts were an international pop superstar (Mika), and a grammy winning artist in Laura Pausini!!?! Some of the highest quality production/hosting this year!

Italy, Ukraine and France sang songs in their own language, were unapologetically themselves on stage, got televotes from every single country in Europe AND Australia and were top 3 in the televote. Now that’s what I call Eurovision!

For me, the love in the room and massive cheering for the UK when receiving the double Zero points is what Eurovision is all about. The love and unity between them all is just so joyful to watch and something we all need to embrace more in the world. The whole contest last year was so emotional after all of the events in the world, and just goes to show how Eurovision can be so powerful. There are few things in the world that unites us like this, and to come together for the love of music really is such a great bond we all have.

I have to admit when Italy won, the quality of Eurovision went up a notch, but this year Finland definitely was almost at the same level, I have to admit. I still don't understand why Sweden won.

I just love how supportive all the artists were of each other last year. Gjon and Sennit sampling food and being sweet together in Krista Calling. Tix dancing during the recap in the final. Gjon fan boying over The Roop. Numerous contestants dancing joyfully to Zitti E Bouni and Shum. Tix dancing joyfully to everything in the final and Maniza doing the same in semi final 1. Everyone seems to have had an absolute blast and being so supportive of each other. From James Newman taking being the zero of his time and refusing to bad mouth the contest afterwards and even taking to social media to criticise those who did to Ethan thanking everyone who took part in a second language he needed help with getting the phrasing right after the winners press conference.
It's 2023 and I am watching this TECH perfection again and again.
