July 9 1975 idi amin plane had some mishap on his way to uganda from ethiopia the kenyan govt offered him a light aircraft to take him to uganda but he didnt trust the kenyan govt at that time he asked to fly back home with the then vice president of kenya who later became president Moi in that way he was assured of his safety back home
