Me too. I’ve got a 1994 3.8 automatic and it’s got that same stupid plastic tip and everywhere I’ve read about how much fluid it should take has said 13.9 quarts or 12.4 quarts and I put 5 quarts in it and the dipstick was showing full, even a little over. I checked it in park and neutral
I heard changing transmission fluid is pretty tricky. That I'td need to be flushed because of the remaining fluid in the valleys and if flushed it would do something pressure wise and screw it up? I have a 01' gt mustang 4.6 auto v8 and was wondering how to correctly change it? Thanks
I still drive a 1997 Mustang, this is helpful. thank you.
Super helpful
Is transmission fluid checking process same for automatic and manual?
I got some bs dipstick with some plastic piece at the end it’s hard to read

My dipstick looks different
If it’s the same vehicle then my guess is that it was replaced… regardless the instructions should be the same
