    I hear people talking about how a sheep can go astray from the flock, but no one ever mentions the fact that Christ (the shepherd) will leave the flock to rescue the one that’s went astray.

      ​@@andrewjackson3278 Notice that it says "I will put my fear in their hearts" and then ask the Once Saved Always Saved heretics if they fear God or love God. Just give them these two choices. It they still say they fear God, then ask them if they still sin or have stopped sinning. I guarantee they will say that everyone sins and no one can stop sinning. That is the end of the conversation, because they do not have the fear of YHWH in their hearts. It means they are not under this everlasting covenant and neither is anyone who continues to sin. John declares this in agreement with Jeremiah, in 1 John 3. You cannot continue to sin if the fear of YHWH that is in your heart was put their by YHWH Himself. If, however, it is fear of God put their by man or by your flesh, then it is powerless over your sin. This is not the fear of YHWH that Jeremiah declares in this covenant.

      A CONTRACT goes two ways. You can violate a contract just as you can violate the Covenant. You CAN turn back into a life of unrepentance sin and go to Hell.

    I just want to warn anyone who wonder if you can lose your salvation, I personally had a vision while at work of me personally losing my salvation. I don't do drugs nor drink. There is nothing more important or valuable than your personal relationship with the Lord. Don't let anyone fool you to thinking that constant sin is OK. Please I'm begging you to stay focus and be obedient to the Lord and His will🙏

    Amazing to think that some people believe they can loose their salvation. Here's a few questions to strongly consider concerning the loss of one's salvation: Exactly when do you loose it? Can you pinpoint or specify the critical time when that happens? Would you know that very time in your spirit? And if you did, would you dare not leave the house because of the possibility of being killed in an automobile accident and going to hell?... Which only means you would have gone to heaven if you had properly repented even only seconds before that same fatal collision. Seriously?? Where is the tipping point for God? And, for that matter, exactly what particular sins would cause you to loose it? Perhaps murder and adultery, but not lying? Or suppose lying was included in loosing one's salvation, how many lies would that be? Since we all sin daily, must we all continually repent daily......many, many times, to make sure we're in good standing with God? Would God save you and demand you live in constant fear or uncertainty about your eternal destination? Is it beginning to sink in? Please ponder each question several times if you took the time to read this comment. I have written it to give you peace. Rest in confidence, dear friends, in your eternal security. Your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. It is there to stay. There are no erasers in heaven to remove your name from that book. Erasers are used to correct mistakes. Jesus never makes a mistake. Be blessed and take care everyone.

    Is salvation temporal or eternal? If it is temporal, you can lose it..because it's limited and will wither away if not maintained or be lost if not guarded. If it's eternal, you can't lose it, because it's forever (no expiration date, no rusting away, impossible to be eaten by moth or destroyed)

    If a person can lose their salvation, they can never ever say that they know they are saved. Because if you can do something that can cancel out your salvation today (or next week, or next year), then at best you can say is "I know I am saved right now." But what you can never say is, "I know I have eternal life.". Instead you will lose your rewards./crowns... but not the free gift of (salvation) Eternal Security through Christ Jesus

      If a person says you can lose their salvation they are calling God and Jesus a liar.
      If your truly saved and have a relationship with Jesus Christ than you are saved and can never lose it!!! If you sin than you can lose your fellowship but not your relationship there is a vaste difference between the two.

    Everybody struggles with sin and have always struggled with sin. From Adam to Abraham to moses to Paul till now, except Jesus. Struggling with sin your whole life doesn't men you'll lose salvation.

    I've recently discovered you guys! Thank you for this. I have a friend who is Catholic and recently really into the teaching. He has asked me this many times as I witness. The part in this video I still need is his question. I did good job telling him but now I have more bible verses thank to you. He wants to know if you are saved but fall back into sin and don't repent even if just once.

    You can loose your Salvation, if you stop being fed by the word of God. Lots of people lost their faith in the bible. Salomon was one of them among others. If we stop bearing fruits, God will cut off our branch. We are saved by Grace, by we need to continue to feed our faith, otherwise, it will die.

    So, when Jesus said "I will not blot out their name from the book of Life", that implies that blotting out CAN occur. Jesus repeatedly says in Revelation, "For those that overcome", "For those that endure till the end". This would seem to imply that those that don't, don't.

      Since salvation is a free gift blotting out names cannot take salvation away. It is not earned. It comes to all freely. All mankin have been saved from death and hell and nothing can take that away from mankind. Observing the gospel of jesus christ gets saved man to the father, but man had to already be saved freely in order to make that choice.

      John wrote in the Book of Revelation (20:13-) that he saw Death and Hell give up their dead to be judged. After judgment, Death and Hell were thrown into the Lake of Fire. The only individuals thrown into the Lake of Fire are Satan, the third part of heaven that were cast out, and the Sons of Perdition. All others are saved and will be given glory in their resurrection as Paul explained to the Corinthians in 1 Cor. 15:40.
      The only doctrine that isn't scriptural is Biblical Fraud CHRISTIANITY!

      If you read the very next verse, it says that it is God who is doing the working! "work" is not the best translation. The Greek word comes from an old mining term, like when you mine ore. This verse deal more with relishing your salvation with awe and respect realizing the amazing thing that God has done for you.

    Being a believer implies you have truly accepted Christ with all of your heart. This means you have inherited his kingdom no matter what. This also means that you have accepted the responsibly to live a holy life, glorifying Jesus. The only way you don’t have salvation is living a life of sin, meaning you haven’t truly accepted Christ as your savior. Therefore, a believer cannot lose their salvation.

    Matthew 7:21 " who does the will of my Father who is in heaven will enter" Another passage in Matthew chapter 24 where Jesus is warning his followers to "watch out that no one deceives you" vs.4 and "At that time many will turn away from the faith" vs.10 unbelievers don't have faith!. So here Jesus in this chapter is talking to Christians and constantly warning Christians that they can "fall away" and the key verse in this passage is in vs13 "But he who stands firm to the end will be saved " so salvation isn't a guarantee.

    I think this question is misunderstood I think we can lose our salvation but only if we choose to leave God. It cannot be taken from us, but we can give it up. All the verses he quoted were about nothing being able to take our salvation. It cannot be lost but can be given away.

      The question isn't "Can you lose your salvation" it's "Can God lose his child". It also begs the question: who is the first mover in salvation? You or God? If salvation is God's work, then why would you believe that he won't complete his work, when scripture says the opposite (Philippians 1:6, Romans 8:28)? Salvation belongs to the Lord (Psalm 3:8)

    You can lose your salvation! the word Matthew 24:13 says IF you endure till the end you will be saved! Ezekiel 18:24-26
    But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die. “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just?       You could have lost your salvation "before" Christ died! Why? Because Christ hasnt had paid yet and his believers were still under the law! So it doesnt make any sense if you take verses from the old Testament and verses that refer to the time BEFORE christ died! Thats the wounder of Christ dead: HE PAID ONCE AND FOR ALL AND WE BECOME A NEW CREATION ONCE AND FOR ALL!

      Answer these three questions...
      Question #1:
      Does God know everything that you do before you do it?
      Question #2:
      Can you NOT do all that God knows that you will do?
      Question #3 :
      If you answered question #1 with a "yes" and question #2 with a "no" then how is it possible for you to lose your salvation?
      From a logical standpoint it is impossible to lose your salvation if God knows what you are going to do before you do it because if he knows you will do it then you ARE GOING to do it.
      If you are saved then you are always saved.

      Don't ask your pastor. Read your Bible:
      ⚫ "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jesus, in John 15:6)
      It's amazing to me that anyone could conclude you're still "saved" after being "cast off as a branch" and "withered" and "cast into the fire" and "burned." Simply amazing. Jesus did not say "once a branch, always a branch."
      ⚫ Romans 11:19-22: The apostle Paul warned that Gentiles, even after being "graffed" into the "vine," could be "cut off" the vine, just as the "natural branches" - the Israelites - had been broken off:
      "Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
      Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
      For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
      Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off."
      ⚫ Hebrews 4:1: "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it."
      ⚫ 1 Corinthians 9:24-27: The apostle Paul had the holy spirit. Paul clearly refuted "once saved, always saved": he stated it was possible for him to revert to a life of sin and therefore be rejected . . . a "castaway." Here's verse 27:
      "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."
      There's a message there for all who have been misled to believe that *having* the holy spirit is a "seal" or guarantee of your salvation. We must remain in repentance, ready to be *led* by the holy spirit (Romans 8:13,14), "walking after the spirit" (Romans 8:1) . . . not just _having_ it and ignoring it.
      ⚫ 2 Peter 2:20-22 If, after overcoming sin through knowing Jesus, a person then returns to sin, "the latter end is worse with them than the beginning."
      "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
      For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
      But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."
      ⚫ Hebrews 10:26,27 delivers the same warning about returning to sin:
      "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
      But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries."
      ⚫ Hebrews 6:4-6 It IS possible to fall away, even after receiving the holy spirit! There would have been no point in writing the next passage if it were impossible to fall away:
      "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
      And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
      If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."
      ⚫ Hebrews 12:14,15 We can "fail of the grace of God":
      "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
      Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;"
      ⚫ Revelation 3:5 and 22:19 Our names CAN be blotted out of the book of life:
      "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."
      "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
      ⚫ 2 Peter 1:10,11 Here's another example of "if" with conditions:

      ⚫ Luke 12:45,46: Jesus clearly warned what would happen to servants who returned to sin:
      "But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
      The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers."
      "Once saved, always saved," with "eternal security"? Apparently not.
      Sins "all paid for, past, present and future"? Apparently not.

      That servant was going to pay for his sins himself.

    We're not saved because of our relationship we're saved because of the blood that was shed on the cross for us this guy is preaching a false gospel thinking that his works are going to get him to Heaven he says that he doesn't believe in works but then he immediately puts works in the mix another heretic watch out for these people it is through faith alone for if it be with works then it be no more faith for If It Be by faith then it is not of works it cannot be both for if it is both then the cross has been made no effect

      Hello freind, I am responding to a comment you posted on another channel about someone's teaching on the gospel of Jesus Christ. You said that he was preaching a false gospel. We must be very careful to quickly judge others when sharing the gospel. We must use wisdom to discern what someone is speaking. This man said nothing negative to anyone and in fact spoke truth. It is true we are saved by faith alone. However, without works, faith is dead. I can't tell you how many times I wrestled with this in my life. But when I searched (work) the scriptures for my self and repented (work) God's word (hearing the truth) gave me the faith I needed to trust and believe in Him. Now I walk by faith and not by works (I don't rely on my good deeds to get me to heaven) I rely on Jesus Christ to make me all that I need to be for himself and out of gratitude for Him I do my best to please Him (works) now, my works show that I love God. God judges the heart of a person, and only God truly knows what's In a person's heart. that is why the scriptures say don't judge or you will be judged. But in truth, we are to judge righteously. Unless someone is living in known sin or practicing some teaching that causes others to sin, we should not pass judgment. But if we see someone practicing sin, we have every right to correct that person as long as we are not playing the hypocrite. Think about this freind. Jesus said in the gospels "do you think these people were worse sinners than some? I tell you no, but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." In order to not perish you have to repent (works) turn from doing wrong. There is a higher understanding in God's word and we will not find it by simply scanning the scriptures. It's takes time a devotion. God says In another place "my people perish for lack of knowledge." my freind you may want to ask God for His wisdom and truly study the scriptures. I'll leave you with this... works cannot produce faith, but Faith will produce works. Therefore that faith (came before) (saved alone by) brought forth the fruit (works) that God desires.     Have they ever addressed in a video the 10 Commandments and why some churches teach them as valid and not valid anymore? Same goes for the Sabbath Commandment and the issue of it being changed by Roman Catholic leadership to the first day of the week from the 7th day of the week.
    These are hard teachings for many of us who are indoctrinated from young or some that have too much pride to read all scriptures in the Bible that talk of these issues.

      @@brettpruefer7541 Agree. The first Christians always celebrated on Sunday (the day of the Risen Lord) whereas the Jewish people celebrate on the Sabbath - since they don't believe in the Resurrection of the Messiah.

      9 of the 10 Commandments are reiterated in the New Testament, which means we still have to follow them. The only one we don't is the Sabbath, since that belongs to the Jews. Christians celebrate on Sunday, the day of Christ's resurrection.

      Another comment said I had been deceived by the SDA people but I went to Catholic school and have studied the major religions as a Bible major and actually attended every faith and belief system in my world travels. Even for wrapped up in yoga and meditation which is its own topic for another day of dangerous practices.
      All I can say is to keep searching the scriptures for yourselves and lay down your theology and commentary studies from your specific denominations and then you’ll see plainly all throughout scripture if you have been born again.
      Read the sermon on the mount and that’s a good start.
      Jesus the Christ is our Savior and teacher and there is only one thing that matters.
      Either you are a sheep that follows him or a goat. Either you are a Spiritual Jew and grafted into God’s family or you are outside the faith. Either you are the wheat or the Tares. There is no category of picking and choosing the 10 unshakeable laws and they will be here forever.
      Why do men seek to teach the doctrines of man as the Commandments of God? Changing both times and laws is talked of in scripture in a not good light.
      “Not one jot or tittle” remember?

    The correct question is: "Can a Believer Walk Away From Their Faith and Stop Believing". And the correct SCRIPTURAL answer is YES, it can and DOES happen. 1 Tim 4:1 states it VERY clearly "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils". Any Pastor who teaches otherwise is BLIND and shortsighted...

Don't put yours' or others' weakness as stronger than God's strength and will.       Read the whole chapter of Romans 11. It starts off by saying twice "Does God cast away His own people? Godforbid"
      Verse 22 says you can be cut off like the Jews were. But if you read verse 21 it says exactly why the Jews were cut off. Because of UNBELIEF. Just like Judas. Judas was never saved. Jesus said he never believed and was a devil from the beginning. All through out the old and new testement, the people that are "cut off" are people that are supposed to believe but don't. The ones who are cut off are likened to a house built on sand rather than the rock which is Christ. They are the goats. The bad ground. There's wheat and there's tare. Good fish and bad fish. Good meaning in Christ and bad meaning not saved. Of course people go to hell for unbelief. But It's impossible for somebody who's born again to not believe because believing is what caused them to be born again. And it's written that whoever is born of God overcomes the world. His sheep will never perish. Nothing can separate them from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Whoever believes in Jesus already has eternal life and He loses none from His hand.

      26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall NEVER die. Believest thou this?
      In that verse even Jesus is asking if you and anyone else believes that.
      One must first understand that they're a sinner and will sin until the day they die. Any works of you trying to fo things for your salvation is not biblical.

      That's why I worry I'm not saved I believe in eternal security but I don't knownif I'm really saved for a number of reasons the main 2 is constant lack of willpower against sin and also the lack of of joy and fellowship with God for example when I go to Church I see people worshipping and thankful joyful but I'm just flat and I hate it

      +bible4truth you don't gain by works nor is it forever, spiritual works must come forth if we are saved though. It just comes naturally. And if I gave you a dollar and you lost it that is free so you can lose a free gift. That verse is talking about once saved always saved not works. They think that just because they recite a sinners prayer and think they're saved forever that they don't have to work at it anymore and that's not the case.

      If it comes naturally then it isn't a work.
      Something that comes naturally would be a work of God.
      I used to bite my fingernails until they bled since childhood.
      Two weeks before I got saved I just stopped, and it wasn't my doing it was God's.
      I take it as God reaching out to me and taking something away from me that was destructive as a sign that he reached out to me first before I even considered taking his hand.

    I’ve always struggled with this question. Some ppl use God’s grace to remain sinning even after they accept Christ. Jesus didn’t die just for us to accept him then intentionally do what we want & use his sacrifice as an escape goat. Yes we will fall sometimes but it should never be because we are intentionally choosing to sin. We have to deny ourselves daily so that it’s not our will, but God’s will being done. & when we do fall repent, get back up & ask the Holy Spirit to help us. If a husband cheats on his wife, naturally speaking we will say that’s not love... so how do we see our relationship with Christ? God is the final judge & He knows the intentions of our heart, & that matter

      Some were never saved in the first place. Others who are genuinely saved may struggle with sin, but because the Holy Spirit has given us a new moral conscience, there is remorse and repentance and a will to turn away from sin. THAT's the difference.

      Not exactly sure what you're saying, so didn't know wether to agree or disagree. It's "revelation," by the way, not "revelations." If you're saying that we can't enter Heaven on our own merits and works, but only through the blood of Jesus because He became our perfect sacrifice, then I agree with you. Only those who trust in Jesus for their salvation are saved.

      1. You are being factually wrong. Agreed that we should not mix works with grace and we are saved by the later. But we do not go to hell as long as we believe Jesus is our savior. Otherwise what you said would contradict the first statement.
      2. Of course we should correct but to do so with love. Let us take the example of jesus, when he corrected people he always did so by showing them love first and removing the condemnation In their hearts before then correcting them, we see this with the women living in adultery, we see this in the parable of the prodigal son and we see this in the healing of Peter. Peter denied Jesus. Yet did Jesus come back with “you are going to hell man” as correction? No he did not. Did Jesus call him an idiot? Nope. So we should treat others with the same kind of love and respect that Jesus did. Not this “tough love” style

You are his forever if you are saved. There absolutely will be people who start to have unbelief, it talks about it in the bible. And he will put your mind back where it was, you are not unsaved.       "Forgiven" is the main word. "Saved" is assurance; and is our take. I'm no trying to mince words but when some say we lose our salvation; it's really just losing our "confidence" in the Lord; but we have to know that we do not lose the forgiveness wrought by Jesus on the cross. My meaning is "saved" and "forgiven" are not equally interchangeable.

      'Saved' is our take. 'Forgiven' is God's "take". So really where it ultimately matters is what God is doing. Our "buy-in"; 'knowledge of'; is inconsequential to God's work; but very consequential to our learning; "our take"... God's work in us.

      Many today think the same as you do. But what should be of interest to us all is how does the BIBLE view this way of thinking? Does the BIBLE agree with it? Allow me to explain.
      Christians concerned about their salvation may also wish to consider Jesus' declaration that "he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 10:22; 24:12, 13; Mark 13:13) And the apostle Paul comments similarly: "For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end." (Hebrews 3:14)
      Time and time again Paul likens the Christian's course to a "race" that must be run to the FINISH. "Let us run with patience the race that is set before us," he urged the Hebrews. (Hebrews 12:1) To enter the race, we as sinners must take the necessary steps for salvation: hearing and accepting the Word of God, believing in Jesus Christ and his ransom sacrifice, repenting of our sins and being baptized. In this way, we can get 'saved' "from this crooked generation", as Peter exhorted those gathered at Pentecost. Unbelievers are outside the race, having failed to enter by getting "saved." (Acts 2:37-40; Romans 10:13, 14)
      But once entered in the race by being "saved", a Christian takes "hold of the life which is life indeed." But is it possible to lose that grip on life? Paul answers with this question: "Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one receives the prize?" In the Christian race, Paul indicates the "one" who receives the prize is anyone who FINISHES the race. Therefore, Paul urges, "So run that you may obtain it." Then, using himself as an example to make the point of his illustration, he continues: "I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified." (1 Timothy 6:19; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27)
      Did you notice that evidently the apostle, who sure was a "saved" Christian, believed that even HE could be "disqualified" from the race. Yet as long as he CONTINUED to 'run that he might obtain' the prize, remaining in the race, salvation was only then assured. This is why Christians who 'remain' in the race can be said to 'have everlasting life.' But if they should ever quit the race, they are 'disqualified', losing their hold on everlasting life. So in conclusion as we can see by what we read and what is taught in the BIBLE, 'once saved, always saved' does not mean we are done, and have guaranteed life, but by enduring til the end!

      God promises salvation to all who believe. there is no race/
      You are using humanistic teaching to justify man's law not God's.
      You are confusing salvation with rewards and inheritance. If you mix the gospel with rewards you will only get more confused. Besides in a race there is one first place winner and then everyone else/ We dont all get gold medals. We dont deserve heaven its a free gift. You need to read the bible straightforward/ I might suggest a good book on how to study the bible with basic reading and hermeneuctics.

      Sorry, Tim but YOU are. So you are going to say that JESUS and the apostle PAUL have been deceived? Because all I have quoted comes from the Bible and from what Jesus and Paul stated.
      Yes we will be saved if we believe but we cannot ignore OTHER scriptures in the BIBLE that tell us we must endure til the end, we must finish the race. And when the Bible says faith without works is DEAD. Those verses are there for a reason. They are clear there is no need for our "own private interpretation".
      The illustration used regarding a race is not saying that only 'one' will win. What the point was is that to win we have to FINISH the race. Of course it is not meant for 'one' because the Bible says there is a 'great crowd' an infinite number who will be saved. But just as JESUS endured til the end so do we.
      Life is indeed a gift, but remember it is because God's undeserving kindness towards us we even have a chance. Why did Jesus come down to earth and die for us? So we could learn from his example and do as he taught us to do. If we do not do as we are told in the scriptures or go against God's teachings, do you seriously think we will still receive the gift of life? Then what would have been the point for Jesus to leave his heavenly place to come to earth and teach us if we can just do whatever we want because no matter what we will be rewarded with life? Does that make any sense? Of course not!
      Because I have read the Bible I am aware of these things. I suggest you do the same. Best regards...

If there is not a true repentence, i.e., acknowledging that you are a sinner and in need of a Savior, believing that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose the third day and is alive forever more. Anyone can say words. Even Satan believes that Jesus is real, but he never accepted him in his heart. If there is not a time a person can remember asking Jesus in his heart and believing that, through faith, he did then I would have to question if that person ever had a true personal relationship with Jesus.

      My comment - The false teaching that salvation can be lost does not come from the Bible, but from Arminianism which is a false doctrine that uses many Biblical passages OUT OF CONTEXT and eisegeted. "Good works" are done by many Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Roman Catholics, but these are clearly UNSAVED people. "Good works" can be seen among the boy/girl scouts of America, among philanthropists who donate huge amounts of money to charity, and even atheists can do "good works", but many are not Christian and unsaved. These people can sometimes exist side by side with Christians that are saved.

      My comment - If salvation can be "lost", then it is no longer eternal in nature, but is like fragile glass. People who believe and teach that salvation can be lost are in essence calling Jesus/God and the apostle Paul liars in John 5:24, John 10:28-29, 2 Timothy 2:13, Romans 8:38-39.
      Your understanding of Philippians 2:12 is PATHETIC. The context of this passage is Paul exhorting the Philippian Christians to "work out" the salvation that they ALREADY POSSESSED in his presence as well as in his absence. These were already eternally saved people. Paul did not want them to slack off in his absence in regards to FELLOWSHIP/SANCTIFICATION practices.
      Paul is not talking about positional justification here. Paul did not want them to become lazy which leads to spiritual atrophy/stagnancy in the faith and he did not want them to be missing in action.
      A person can have a complete weight set in his possession in his garage, BUT how will that weight set profit the person's physique and muscles if that person never "works out"? The weight set is in the person's possession. Will the person "lose" the weight set if he seldom or never "works out"?? NO.
      Same principle applies to Philippians 2:12.

    So, I’m confused. I think I accepted Christ as a child. But then, I fell into sexual sin as a teen and ignored God’s voice. At 17, I cried out to God for help and re said the sinners prayer. My life has not been the same.
    This burdens me since I’m wondering if I never knew Christ as a child, why did I have such faith? Why did I read the Bible on my own will? Also, do I need to be rebaptized? It’s really stressing me because I have to share my testimony soon to become a member of my church.

      Sometimes I wonder the same. I was mad last year and thought “let’s try putting religion away”. That didn’t last long. I quickly realized I wanted to stay with God and do right. I don’t think I really understood these things though. Not properly anyway. I had the issue of “am I saved or not”. Finally came to the conclusion that I thought I was. I am still being led to God but what if it’s my own vanity?

      I don't think you have anything to be afraid about as long as you believe in Christ now. If you ever lost your way, all you need to do is come back in alignment with God. Believing in Christ implies that you consider him your Lord or master. However, he is a loving master. He is waiting for you to come back in fellowship with him. He will not push you away. He died so restore fellowship between you and the father. Don't accept any feeling of condemnation. Repent and move on with Christ with boldness.

    The conditional statements in Scripture, that sounds like you're going to lose salvation, are not talking about losing salvation. There talking about losing rewards. It is the reward that you lose, not the salvation that you lose, if in fact you do not endure.

    The pastor basically asked how can you lose something you did not earn. Well I can lose/destroy a free gift - being free does not make the gift immune from these things.
    I believe:
    1. The warning passages in Scripture teach a believer COULD lose their salvation (thus the warnings).
    2. The security passages in Scripture teach that a believer NEVER WOULD lose their salvation (at least not permanently in the end); and I believe God does this via His Middle Knowledge (of creature free actions) and Holy Spirit.
    So yes, a believer COULD lose their salvation (take the warnings seriously), yet take comfort if you are believer that God will make sure you never WOULD lose it (if you know Him).

    “No one will snatch them from my hand” is describing how dedicated and committed a truly saved person is toward living a godly righteous life. You can’t earn salvation, it’s a gift rewarded to the righteous - but you *can* earn damnation - it’s the wage for sin.

      @@joebolling Paul is talking about the unrepentant lost, the unsaved who never repented and came to Christ. If you can lose your salvation, then the gift of eternal life isn’t eternal. Which would mean that Christ lied to us. Read the prodigal son parable. Also Jesus will leave the 99 sheep to go after the one who has gone astray. Either you were taught wrong or you have cherry-picked Bible verses out of context and have attached your own false narrative to them. And if what you say is true, YOU can never know if you’re truly saved because you sin everyday. John says if we sin (not a license to sin) but if we sin and confess it and repent, God is faithful and just to forgive us. And John goes on to say, and the blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin.

    I totally love all your teachings and thank God for good truthful solid bible teachers especially in these high perilous days of deception that daily grieve me and plague me to tears and prayer .... but I 100%
    Agree with you but the only thing is can you explain to me why Christ tells the church of Sardis in Revelation that if they do the things in which He rebukes and has against them if they repent He will then "NOT" blot their name out of the book of Life .... and also Paul exhorts us to "work out" which again proves what you say that we can't "work for" but it does say "work out" with fear and trembling. If a person can not lose their salvation why would they need to fear and tremble? Also Christ talks about many people who fall away and become deceived by lying prophets in the end times but He also says "if possible the elect" elect means chosen! Help me bring some clarity to this bc I totally agree with this teaching and for me? I know I am totally saved by grace through faith alone lest I boast .... but I know a lot of lukewarm Christians who don't understand the Bible and take it literally and most of them don't pick it up bc if not understanding it and their lifestyles as Christians are questionable if they are truly saved! Help me please understand those scriptures bc if it is not the case for the immature and ignorant believer that may have just came to the Lord and got saved and maybe struggles understanding God's word or be obedient to His Spirits's voice! Help me please if that's ok?

    No, a man saved by the grace of God cannot lose his salvation. But he can willfully give it up, because if God will not force you into eternal life with Him if you dont want to be with Him. Imagine you love someone and ask them to marry you, and they say yes and then you get married. No one else can separate you from the marriage, but if they decide they no longer want to be with you, they can divorce you and you cant force them to stay.

    Mr. Wagner asks how you can lose that which you did nothing to earn. It is not a matter of losing salvation by not deserving it; it is a matter of losing salvation by losing faith. He is confusing merit with conditionality. Forgiveness is conditional. One example is that we must forgive our debtors. Mat 6:14 "For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions."

    Those who teach against this do it because they expect to get in to heaven not by the righteousness of Jesus Christ but by their own obedience and self-will to be faithful. To which God will say "depart from me" because their life was lived in rejection of the salvific FINISHED work of Jesus Christ. Yes once saved always saved. This doesn't mean if you say the sinners prayer you are automatically saved. IF you are saved, you will see work of the Holy Spirit in your life, ridding you of sin, causing you to walk in faith, read Scripture and obey joyfully the things God commands. So examine yourself to see if you are and if you are not, pray unceasingly to God. He reveals Himself to those who seek Him.

Noone can snatch them out of My hand." I don't know how Jesus could have made it any more clear than that. What you don't understand is its not at all about me keeping me; but God keeps me......Jesus forever liveth to make intercession for the saints....Jesus forever lives to pray for the saints. Do Jesus prayers ever fail? Of course not! Thats why we cannot lose our salvation...eternal life is the free gift from God. God does not give gifts and then comes back later and decides to take them back. That is ridiculous! Some of the people who believe that salvation can be lost are trying to earn it on their own....many of them may not be saved in the first place.

      there are countless numbers in churches that are not truly saved....they never possessed eternal life in the first place.....but Eph 1:13-14 says that God seals with the Holy Spirit those who truly belong to Him....the deposit guaranteeing our inheritance..

      Salvation is a gift from God when we believe Jesus died on the cross, shedding His blood, was buried and rose from the dead. When we put our trust in this new gospel message Jesus gave to us from Paul, we are saved and have eternal life. The promise of eternal life is just that - ETERNAL.
      Yes, there are verses that say someone can lose your standing with God but knowing the verses in their context we would know that losing our salvation is not possible for someone saved today, in the body of Christ. For Israel, yes. They needed to endure until the end, do good works and keep the law. But we are under grace. Grace is a gift not to be earned to get it, or to keep it. The promise of eternal life once we are saved is not a temporary standing. That makes no sense. It's either the promise of eternal life or it isn't.
      Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
      We need to rightly divide God's word to understand salvation and the Christian life properly for us today. Mixing scriptures that were not written to the body of Christ and try to make them fit us, is not the way to understand the bible. NOT every bible verse is written to and about us. Otherwise people would be building an Ark, doing animal sacrifices and selling all they have. Hmmm, maybe some are doing those things?
      Seeing it is Jesus Christ who did the work to save us, we cannot unwork His work. Once saved always saved.
      Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ETERNAL = FOREVER
      2Cor 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

    he is really talking about non protestant kind of salvation cause he didn't really say anything that i don't particularly agree with but he didn't mention some things that my church would say like differentiating between grace we got by faith alone as a gift and the work of grace in us after a man is justified by grace through faith i think the bible and the early church fathers are clear about that.

    I think this scripture shows that while we may not be able to lose our salvation, we can give it away IF we do not continue in faith. This really shows why Christians MUST pursue growth. It is not enough to say a pray someday. You need to grow in the knowledge of Christ and reinforce your faith in Christ through that knowledge. If you allow the cares of the world, the deceitfulness of riches, and lust for other things to distract you away from the path of the gospel, you could give up the free gift of salvation.
