I can only speak from my own experience. Around my 40’s I became a christian through the evangelical church of the nearby town. I had left the roman cath church years ago already, disgusted by the lies and the filth of that church. And I embraced Jesus Christ and His saving grace, His forgiveness of my sins and His goodness wholeheartedly! I was on fire for Christ and wouldn’t stop preaching Him in my family. I was met with ridicule and mocking. They still think I’m crazy to believe in the God of the bible. But after years and more years, I slacked, fell behind. I believed with all my heart, all my soul and all my mind, don’t doubt that. I never doubted it myself either! But I never bore any fruits. Being a christian was a struggle. And I just couldn’t proceed forward. Instead,my life didn’t get any better and I skipped church, felt hurt by other chrisitans, drank more and eventually after the sudden death of my husband I broke and hit rockbottom. I drank far too much, AA didn’t work and then one day I realized that I couldn’t do anything right on my own. I went on my knees and gave myself over to God. Truly, really and completely gave my life in God’s hands. That was the moment I became a born again christian. And then everything changed. I changed. And because of KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE between a ‘name christian’ - though fully convinced of God’s truth! - and being a born again christian, I KNOW THAT NO ONE CAN TAKE MY SALVATION AWAY. EVER! So, being born again and with the Holy Spirit indwelling and Jesus as my siamese twin, the Father to turn and talk to, there is NOTHING absolutely NOTHING that can seperate us again. Because I know the difference. I know that I am eternally saved.
I had a similar experience.. i was a lukewarm Christian for most of my adult life. Once I hit rock bottom, I fell on my knees and told Him, "not my will Lord, but your will" I gave my life and whole heart to Him that day. My whole life has changed. I now hate sin. I am so hungry for God, every day. I never knew what it meant to be born again, but now I've experienced it first hand.
Not taking away from your experience.. but couldn’t you have been saved all along and God used these events to strengthen your faith? Faith has ebs and flows for even the strongest Christian psalm 51:12 I’m glad to read your faith is strong though!
I tested the lord in my youth and he kept me, in spite of my attempts to destroy myself.....even unto death. he said to me " I have plans for you!" and all of my attempts to thwart that were for naught.
How about what Paul said in Col 1:21 He said "if indeed you continue in the faith" . Doesn't your teaching take out the "if"? And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation[g] under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.
@@melaniexoxo Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils
he doesnt :"keep me in the faith" id dont have to do anything thats works. i am born again. it doesnt matter what i do in the flesh as far as eternal security
God loves you so much, He knows your heart even if you think you don't believe anymore. He'll take you to Heaven, kicking and screaming if He must. He knows your heart, better than you do. If you can't earn salvation through moral perfection, you can't lose salvation through moral imperfection.
I believe if you fervently pray to God to keep you strong in Him ... He will. Think of the man who asked Jesus Christ to help him with his unbelief. All things are from and of God. If you desire Him, He will not abandon you. That is not His nature. He will always help us. He loves us and desires us to be in His presence. Talk to Jesus Christ every day. He will change your life and desires and you will not desire to lose His presence in your life.
All of this is absolutely true. But what happens if you don’t fervently pray? What happens if you feel abandoned, and you are distant from God, though you are saved. And what happens if you die in that season? Is it then a works based faith? These are genuine questions.
@@BradyR95 What is in your heart drives your actions and your desires. If you have a repentant heart and have truly given that heart to Christ, then you will generate good fruit (i.e. works) and be saved from the second death at the Last Day. This does not mean your faith won't be tested. There will be times you may feel abandoned or distant from God; but if you're steadfast in your faith, your spirit will persevere over the sins of the flesh. Read Romans 7:7 - 8:11. This answers your concerns. Salvation is not saying a prayer or professing you are a Christian or going to church or doing good work. It is believing IN YOUR HEART that Jesus Christ died on the cross and overcame death so that you may do the same (if you truly believe). That is why the only two who know if you are truly saved is God and you. God Bless.
Salvation is a way of life in Jesus, our confession has to be in unity with the transformation of the heart, Romans 10:9-10 with the heart man unto righteousness , and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 1 John 2:4 he that saith i know him,and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him, all liars shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven, Rev 21:8 all liars
I think you summed it up nicely. It is a matter of perseverance and motive. As long as we continue in our faith (which doesn't mean we might not sin, but that we will not embrace it but repent with the motive to not do it again) then nothing can remove us from our salvation. Only we have the power to remove ourselves (God forbid that any would).
⚫ "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:" (2 Timothy 2:12) ⚫ "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jesus, in John 15:6) Salvation is impossible without the grace of God. WE make the choice to receive His promised grace and mercy (Prov 28:13) . . . or to reject. That's why there is such a thing as _judgment._ Judgment is on "the house of God" right now (1 Peter 4:17). ⚫ "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (Hebrews 4:1)
Good word brother. Continue in the faith and persevere to the very end. Far too many come against this and refuse to repent from their sinful lives. We must walk as Christ walked obeying His commands and doing the will of the Father. Love you all, God bless
Jesus is called in scripture the author and finisher of your faith HE is. Not yourself. Don't ever trust yourself to save yourself. he keeps you not YOU
The Word of God is Beautiful! Thank you for taking the time to answer this. My husband and I really enjoyed your message on Security of the Believer. It has helped us answer others that struggle. Thank you.
When I was arounf 14 I asked my dad this same question, "If a person accepts Jesus as their Savior, are they eternally secure?" That's how I phrased it. My dad's answer was, "Yes...as long as they want to be." The pastor I'm under now (at 68 years of age) does not teach eternal security, but teaches eternally abiding, for if we will eternally abide in Jesus we will be secure. Paul said, "I die daily." (1st Corinthians 15:31) and if we read Romans 7 we see that he struggled with sin in his life, just like the rest of us, yet was able to say, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. From now on a crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing." (2nd Timothy 4:7-8) We are not to plan to sin, because God is merciful, but rather serve and honor God because we love Him. I never quite know what you're going to come out with, but so far it matches with what God says in His Word. May He continue to bless you.
My uncle was a Baptist pastor for 40 yrs. He has been through many test to his faith and has always kept Jesus as his Savior as Job did. I asked him about my son, Justin who has a very rare disorder (partial trisomy 14q) and is 27, however he can not speak or do anything for himself. He has almost died from stevens johnsons syndrome. God healed him even though everyone thought it was a death sentence. I love my son very much, and have always said, thank you Jesus for my son instead of why me Lord. Will Jesus take Justin to live with Him in Heaven? My belief is Jesus will hold Justin close to Him and give him a new body. I would give anything for Justin to say, I love you daddy. I heard on the radio from a preacher that you must confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Savior to be saved and go to Heaven. My uncle {Berry McCready) said, "there is no need to worry for Justin will see Jesus, I am sure of it."
I think Mike Pearl is a sincere believer but I believe he has misunderstood this part about leaving the faith and never being able to come back, it's a dangerous doctrine. Many are saved during early lifehood, thus they couldn't really fully understand the scriptures so they can be lured out of faith and come back later after being more mature.
@@gethsemane-777 that's not coming back to him, that means in your early years of not understanding you were not filled with the Holy Spirit therefore not saved. God bless
@@gethsemane-777 No no. Maybe thats just a part of their spiritual growth. The walk of a Christian is not constantly up. SOmetimes we have really bad days, weeks, and maybe even years. But you are always saved. Either that or they just were never saved to begin with
To continue in the faith during this writing meant not to turn or return to Judaism in keeping the law for salvation nor turn to ungodliness, such as the Nicolaitans, in thinking that you can partake in immortality without shame and still be saved. Comparing that setting today is very difficult. We don’t have the same setting as they did today. Departing from faith was turning to the law of Judaism.
You have been such a blessing in my life Michael. I wish I could have a father or grandfather like you but I will happily settle to be able to hear you over the internet as the next best thing. I hope one day to meet you in person in Heaven. May the Lord bless and keep you and yours.
I like this guy, I like how he explained talking to these men about losing salvation. Probably first time I have ever understood that part. I have been struggling with this "losing salvation" bit because of some videos I have watched. I talk to God often about this, so glad I came across this video.
God does provide. You have explained this question out very well indeed. True repentance continue in the faith . Let's encourage each other to continue in the faith.
Michael Peral Paul is saying if you hear this gospel and believe it in vain. 1st Cor. 15:1 "In vain" useless, doubtful, no possibility of fulfillment. Who Paul is speaking to is people who have heard the gospel and never truly believed. You can't lose somthing you never possessed.
@ColonelEmpire So a Christian thar turns their back on Jesus will still be saved? Scripture seems to say otherwise. A rejection to the Holy Spirit, isn't that the one unforgivable sin?
Being a believer that is secure in my salvation I always enjoy the word washing sermons I get visiting Armenian churches that preach the message of beginning again. Starting all over again. I see God working in all the churches preaching the Gospel.
Well, I was going to subscribe to you after a few videos, but then I watched this. Teaching "once saved, always saved is wrong", wow. If you read your bibles people and actually study it you would know it said once you have believed on the gospel and believe truly in your heart that Jesus Christ came to die on the cross for your sins, and that his blood washes away those sins, you're ETERNALLY SAVED UNTIL THE DAY OF REDEMPTION! YOU'RE SEALED WITH IT! You become a new creature, a son of God. No man shall take you out of MY hands or MY FATHERS hands. So not only do I believe in an eternal salvation I believe in a DOUBLE eternal salvation! Is it a license to sin? NO but you're STILL saved. YOU CANT SAVE YOURSELF "You're saved by faith alone, not of his works lest anyone man shall boast" You'll lose your rewards and crowns but the fire shall not touch you and you shall not parish!
Not to mention, if you're trusting in yourself to save yourself, you're not truly trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. That's like saying he needs to return a second time to die AGAIN for your sins. Why even come at all if he has to just come again? Makes no sense. He died for your past, present and FUTURE sins! God said IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO NOT SIN
How much worse will it be for a believer who knows better than the ignorant and still chooses to turn their back on God? Would that not be treason? I'm not fully convinced if you didn't repent from such a situation that you would feel 100% safe.
I have read all those verses that you have mentioned and couldn't fully know how to bring them together. You explained this question where for the first time I can understand. Keeping the faith! AMEN! Thank you & God bless.🙏❤️🕊️
3 Different answers... I guess I'm never going to know the answer to that question in this life. I have never heard a straightforward answer to this question, and the above video was no exception.
How about in basic terms: You believe in Jesus and follow Him and His teachings? You are good. At anytime you turn your back and never repent from that decision? You got a problem. All of us will answer to Him in the end so let's do our best to be ready.
Jesus teaches , promises in John 6 TWICE those given to Him NONE will he lose. In John 10 He teaches and promises twice we are in His hand and nobody can snatch us out. In John 3 FOUR times He promises those who believe in Him will never perish but have eternal life. Listen to Jesus, NOT men .
Unusual to hear such a lucid analysis of this difficult topic. In general, we are usually presented simple, pat answers to hard spiritual questions. Denomination doctrine is usually put above scripture, and then we are taught how to use the Bible to defend the denominational doctrine. Love to hear someone go through both sides, and then help to bring clarity to the issue. Really loved the simple, humble teaching. Great job, and God bless!
Exactly, saved past tense is arrogance, the heart is deceitful, who can know it, only God knows. Your understanding is dynamic not static. This is how I can tell one from another. If you pitch it, then I will get really bummed out.
Obedience to the faith is very important to God. God saves us by faith, not by works; but after He has saved us, He wants to talk to us about our works, about our obedience to Him. In short, again pay attention Mr. Michael Pearl, Jesus is making it poignantly clear that it is not enough for a person to say "Lord, Lord" and effectively deny the declaration of their lips by the direction of their life!
Christ told a parable about a man who was not only given an invitation to a wedding feast and also provided a costly wedding garment. Inexplicably the man did not put the wedding garment on. When he showed up at the wedding expecting entrance he was inspected and cast into outer darkness for refusing to wear the garment. This parable speaks volumes on this topic and needs no further explanation to those with a humble heart.
From what he said at the beginning makes perfect sense, honestly I could never depart from the faith that Jesus Christ died for my sins and he is my Lord & Saviour, my mind & heart could never not believe that as factual. So I believe that I am good to go forever, Amen...
*Nonsense!* Unless we are *_following_* the holy spirit we are spiritually dead: ⚫ "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 8:13,14) If we no longer abide in Jesus in repentance, following the holy spirit, then we are no longer in justification. We return to condemnation, no longer "in His goodness" or grace: ⚫ "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1) ⚫ "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jesus, in John 15:6) ⚫ "For if God spared not the natural branches [the Israelites], take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." (Romans 11:21,22) Paul had the holy spirit, and understood that even after preaching to others he could possibly return to a life of sin and therefore be rejected, a "castaway": ⚫ "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." (1 Corinthians 9:27) ⚫ "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (Hebrews 4:1)
Ephisians chapter 1. I think if that person continues in sin in 1 john they’ll lose it bc it’ll be like they never really knew Him if they never took conviction serious. Living in sin
I believe we are saved through our faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and that the gift of salvation is eternal. However, I don't think that means that once you're saved you're always saved no matter what. I think it means that salvation for the Christian is guaranteed once he comes into the faith, but Christ won't keep you hostage if you change your mind and choose to reject him afterwards.
You are 100% correct. Salvation is the free, unmerited gift of God by grace alone. You CANNOT lose it or walk away from it. I believe Brother Pearl is a godly man, but I respectfully disagree with him on this subject. Still, if all Christians were as good of Christians as Brother Pearl that would be a good thing.
As i have Read and understand. Salvation opens the door... You must walk through it; Salvation is similar to being released from prison after 30 years: will you act as though still imprisoned or will you be a new person when you leave that prison?
If I must work hard to be saved, then I am not saved yet but Bible teach me that I am saved since I believe in Christ. Our perfection is in Christ. If I will be saved only in case that I will make no sin and I will be perfect then I deserve salvation no grace needed. But this is what I hear you to teach here.
Jesus said my burden is easy and my yoke is light. Seems to me keeping ones self in the faith and it depends on you sure isn't a easy burden. Id be so scared i'd loose my faith all the time that id end up liosing my faith cause I was scared of losing it and being scared is not faith as it is already, so then if I'm scared I'd loose it then that means I lost it right. This guy talks with such authority and he has a long beard therefore he must be right. I know when I was closer to God God taught me to be slow to speak and approach things humbly, because we as humans are very dependent on him and not to get to big for our britches.
Sir, I must say that you have allowed the wisdom of God to rest upon you. I just read your book on The Gap Fact, and it was excellent. It is a balanced look at this topic. I agree with your finding because it was evident that something happened. Remain Blessed
Speaking of Satanism, when I was a child, I would continuously pray the "sinner's prayer" out of fear, and I was a professing Christian, but when I was a teenager, I was already starting to live life my own way, based in large part on the world's standards and attitudes. Soon after I joined the Navy in my late teens, I fell away from even trying to live a Christian life, and soon decided I would "try" devil worship to see if he (the Devil) would grant me all of my heart's desires, since God wasn't doing so. Long story short, I started acting a fool, flashing the "devil horns" with the hands, and bought a copy of The Satanic Bible. Well, soon after I began reading it, I realized it was total crap, plus I could never bring myself to bow my head and pray to the Devil. I instinctively knew he could not be trusted! So, I dropped the notion of following Satanism, and just continued to live how I wanted. If I had died then, I would have probably went to Hell, not just because I dabbled in Satanism (which was more of a foolish temper tantrum than genuine desire to worship the Devil), but because I had never really "known Christ." I would have heard those awful words: "Depart from me, I never knew you." Later, I became ashamed of how I had acted, and genuinely asked the Lord to forgive me, but much of my life continued unchanged (I fornicated, sometimes got drunk, and loved listening to all sorts of rock and roll music, and watched trashy movies and TV shows). I finally called on Jesus to save me when I was 40 years old, and began trying to do better, but it still didn't feel like quite enough. I was convicted of some of my continued behavior. I joined my new bride's church (a Southern Baptist church) and got rebaptized. I began reading and studying my Bible, and praying on a regular basis, which did bring me closer to God, but I finally started learning the whole truth, that individual sins don't damn us any more than good works can save us. We are damned because we ARE sinners, and the only way to salvation is faith in Christ's blood shed on the cross, and His resurrection, not works or "being good." But when times would get rough, my faithfulness would lag a bit. After a strong bout of the flu this past Christmas (I had just turned 57), I became concerned that I might die, and prayed earnestly for forgiveness for many sins I had never thought much about, let alone confessed. I also confirmed my belief in Christ alone to receive forgiveness for all sins, and surrendered my life totally to Him, and asked God to fill me with the Holy Spirit. After that, I FINALLY felt a strong spiritual connection to God and His Son that I never felt before, and knew in my heart that I was saved and would never turn away again. I also began the somewhat painful process of purging bad and problematic things from my life - stuff I just don't need. Now I WANT to obey God, and produce good fruit. I only wish I had gotten to this point many, many years ago. It is a regret that I will have to live with, but at least I now have true hope.
I departed from the Faith, but then I came back. According to your interpretation, I’m dammed forever. Well, I’m going to share the Gospel with as many people as I can before I go to hell.
You were never damned, believe me if you were you would know it. If you still feel love for the Lord in your heart the truth is he kept you, even through human error going our own path if the Lord had you he will never give you up. departing from the faith is a very vague statement because we're not always in the same mindset each day, we can have good days and bad days and life can affect how we feel. Sometimes I'm mad at God for certain things in my life, I ask him why he lets me suffer. But I always come back to him one way or another. From my own experience, I believe that the only way to depart from the faith was if you were never in the faith to begin with and that takes a very specific sadistic individual. If you're someone who wants to know the Lord and accepted him once I don't think you'll ever truly fall away, because God knows our every move before we make it, so I think God already knew if we were his elect or not probably long before we were even born which is crazy to think about. he had before knowledge of what we would do, even though we have free will, God is so intelligent that he knew every mistake and backslide we would make and knew we would come back and not only that but Gods will is to keep us close to him so despite freewill God for knew we would want to be with him again no matter how many backslides we make
So long as you repent and believe in the truth that the blood of Jesus Christ covers ALL sins you are saved. We all fall short of the glory of God, even after being saved and all sins are damning. If falling back on sins after salvation was the end of the line, we'd all be doomed. We make an honest effort to walk in the way of the Lord, we repent when we fall short, we ask the Holy Sprit to fortify the will of the Lord within us, we keep going and encourage others. There is nothing the blood of Christ cannot pay for! God bless you, brother, trust in our Lord and live forever.
I believe it is quite simple. If we reach out our hand to jesus in faith he will never let go of us. However we could choose to let go ourselves. His faithfulness can never fail but ours can.
Excellent review and very well balanced. Jesus keeps us saved as we continue in the faith. If we are in Christ, we are a new creation, desiring to please God. It's true that our faith must endure till the end to be saved. It's all throughout the NT. God bless you and keep abiding in Christ and He will abide in you.
I come from a family of atheist. This happen to me many years ago. Back then at the time I think I was in my 20s but not sure. A few years after this I met up with one of my bother girl friends she was a surgical Nurse, who had a part to play in an operation I had. She told me on that operating table In that operation room, my heart had stopped I had no harts beet for about eight minutes I had no blood flow she thought I was dead at the time I was. Even though I knew almost nothing about God, heaven, or hell, except what I seen on TV or from the Radio. What I was learn about Jesus was told to me when I was around 12. I found myself floating on the ceiling then I was pulled in to Heaven. it was told to me by an elder of a church. I met him when my mum took me to see him. At the time My mother was an atheist and she would not go in to a church. So we met the church elder after the service, out side the church. My mum took me to see him because he was a Paediatrician. and and he was book out You see back then three months, night after night I was I was being pulled in to Hell by a huge being. later I found out this being was a demon, it was covered in what look like mould. it aldo had what look like a four posted solid gold crown on it head It was the size of a dustbin lid. Back the night after night I was being pull in to a pit of blue and Gray burning fog This was Hell. it would burn my skin off and with ever breath my lips mouth and lungs would get burnt then grew back again instantly, to be burned away again and again. This went on night after night, for three months When I woke up I would wake up screaming in my mothers arms. Going to a church this time was a one off time event only. I never went near a church again till I got married to my wife Jenny 18 years later. Because she was and still is a christian. I become a christian. The NDE happen 14 years later when I was 26 from start to finish this has so much information in it I cant fit it all on here information that confirms what I tell you here to the best of my knowledge is true. I had to have an surgery to save my life Medical report showed I was so ill during surgery my heart had stop they took turns doing CPR for 30 minutes till they called it I was then left with out a heart beat for a further 8 minutes I found my self floating on the ceiling of the operating room. I was then pull though the wall First off We are conceived Body Soul Spirit our soul controls our body but it can not function without a body So when we die for a while our soul is out side of our body. When our soul goes to heaven or goes to Hell it is given a new body. I was pull in to heaven I was put in a new body. There I notice that that had no genitalia at all. I seem to be dressed in a roman like toga. In heaven I met thousands upon thousands of my ancestors And I seem to be able to communicate with each and ever single one of them. They all seem also to have no genitalia and the first thing I notice was the woman had no breast . The next thing I notice was My ancestors seem very concerned about me. Then they started to move away from me. I then notice there was a man with two other man beside him (I later learned that the two other men were angels) This man was kneeling on the ground with his back to me He look like he was looking at moving photos then I notice they were photos of me of when I was a boy of 12. 13 years ago . Then he come to the photos of me talking to that church elder. The photos showed me after talking to the elder I truly believe in Christ. When he seen this he look up at me and smiled. I could now see his face I can still see the love in his eyes. I ask him for his name he told his name was Emmanuel . At the time I never heard that name before so I did not know that, I was speaking with Christ himself .. When my ancestors found out that I was not going to Hell . They were very happy. One of them showed me how to crate a white marble stone slab. After I made it. I was siting on it when Emmanuel walk over to me and told me I have to go back. As I had to finish off my purpose what ever that was I keep saying no! No! No! Please but he sent me back any way It was then I felt my heart beating in my chest my ancestors then started to move away from me very fast I later figured out You see when he started my heart up my soul was now connected to my mortal body my mortal sinful body. And my body was full of sin. I floated though the wall in to the operating room and started sinking in to my cold dead body,. it was like sinking in to cold mud. Then I fell asleep and later woke in recovery. I was fighting to take off the oxygen mask when I notice I was not in heaven any more all around me was darkness they later put me back in the wards. they wanted to give me a shower It was then I was able to look at my body in the mirror I notice there were a dark patch marks on the back of my arms my legs I was told that it was congealed blood laying under my skin. I knew I had the NDE but I did not know that I had acutely died on the operating table. And that I had been dead for thirty eight minutes. I was still very weak as I had lost over 40 kilos. When I tried to tell people about this they really did not want to know But ever though it been over 40 years I still remember ever bit of it.
Jesus christ is my Lord and I believe that I am saved not by my works but by the grace of God through my faith in Jesus Christ I am saved. May glory and honor be to my Lord and my God Jesus Christ forever and ever Amen
You're 100% correct, there are still dozens of people though who think they have to work to salvation which makes me wonder how they could teach such a thing if they're not even sure about their own salvation, if that were true they're almost certainly damned without a shadow of a doubt. People are so stupid sometimes and it's painful to watch. You however sir are right and blessed and I'm glad others have the actual truth and aren't pushing the false doctrine of works unto salvation
This is the best explanation regarding salvation so far. I came up with the same understanding after reading the Bible many times. And I grew up in a Pentecostal church, accepted Christ through a Baptist brother and attended a charismatic church for 12 years. Now I attend a non-denominational church. lol! Thanks Pastor Pearl.
Thank you brother this has opened my eyes. So many other videos about this are trying to bash the opposing view but the truth is both views are meant to be taken seriously. When I read the Bible I accept the scriptures that give me assurance but we must also heed to the warnings and not just ignore th m because we are in Christ. Good teaching.
Amen! As long as we are still alive, we can repent. That scripture in 2chronicles7 " if my people who are called by my name.........then will I hear their prayers and heal their land....". Still stands true.2 chronicles 7:14
@@ColonelEmpire Luke 15:24 says the Son was alive "again" after returning. So, I assume he was alive before leaving his Father's property and influence. So, he wasn't dead at that time, meaning this must be a story about a believer falling away, then repenting.
OSAS! Saved by faith, not works lest any should boast. As Christians we should be very straight forward about this topic. When we receive the free gift of Salvation from God it is ETERNAL no matter what! God bless and be well. ✝️
This is the best teaching on this topic I've heard. Why? Because you came armed with both lists of Bible verses for the two opposing groups. Then you addressed each side explaining why their list of verses is in fact correct and when taken together, we get the perfect will of God. There is no disharmony in the Bible. It only seems that way when we take and run with a few selected Bible verses to the exclusion of the rest of the Bible. I really pray more people watch this video because once-saved-always-saved no matter if you renounce Jesus blah blah is such a dangerous lie. SHALOM
Saved by grace through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. I agree completely, how can we lose something free given to us, when that something is eternal? Though we can grieve the Spirit (don't do it).
1.) Salvation is by *grace.* Grace is received *_“through_* faith” (Ephesians 2:8) . . . not just because we have faith. Through faith we see the choice - and the need - to “come to God” (Hebrews 11:6) in repentance: confessing and forsaking sin. If we’ll obey and *do that* we’ll enter his promised mercy and grace (Proverbs 28:13; Isaiah 55:7) . . . and our past sins will be “blotted out” (Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9; Romans 3:25; 2 Peter 1:9) . . . and we’ll receive the gift of the holy spirit (Acts 2:38; Acts 5:32). 2.) “Faith alone” is not enough: Jesus is “. . . the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him” (Hebrews 5:9). Outside of repentance - confessing and forsaking sin - we receive no mercy and will perish, just as Jesus, Peter and Paul warned (Luke 13:5; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Corinthians 9:27). 3.) True believers are those who - like Abraham - act on their faith and obey God (James 2:20-24; 1 Peter 2:7). Otherwise, they are not believers; their faith is dead. 4.) Jesus did not tell His disciples to preach “faith alone.” He told them to preach “repentance and remission of sins”: “Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:45-47)
Because you are what you do. If you do the evil spoken of by this pastor you have turned away from the faith. Not saying sin seperates us, but buy our rejection of the faith in Jesus seperates us.
Amen I’m saved by my faith in Jesus by grace. I could never earn this it is a gift.No greater love was ever shown.I thank God for sending Jesus to save me.Jesus is my savior.

In the Bible the question is asked in Acts 16:31 by the jailer to the Apostle Paul..How must I be saved. A straight forward question. The answer superceeds any thing in the Bible you might have interpreted to the contrary. I will break it down in regard to its verbs. * I like this vs. so much because it is so explicit in it's message... I will attempt to break it down in regard to it's verbs..from the original Greek text...The vs. says ,Believe on the lord Jesus Christ ,and thou shalt be saved....Believe is the main verb...it is a aorist active ,imperative of the greek verb Pistos ,to believe. The aorist tense is a point of time that you believe. This is a special aorist tense that takes this point of time and perpetuates it into infinity..The active voice (,the subject ,produces the action of the verb,)you believe. The imperative mood is a command. Saved is sozo, a perfect passive participle (.A participle is an auxiliary verb that supports the main verb.).The perfect tense show a completed action. The passive voice unlike the active voice ,says the subject (the one believing in Christ)receives the action of the verb rather than producing this action...In this case he receives salvation. So based on the original text The vs.is more accurately translated. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and at that moment ,you are saved for ever and ever.. * Notice repentance is not mention because a spiritual dead person is not capable of doing anything to save himself.
Once you are saved you are always saved. They key though is legitimately being saved. If you say the sinners prayer but it’s not in your heart then you aren’t saved. It’s not the words but what’s in your heart and only God can see that. Someone who says “I used to be a Christian” or says the sinners prayer and then goes and lives as they wish were never actually Christians in the first place.
But his do I know I won't go back to sin? How do you know you won't? How does anybody know? We don't. That's why once-saved-always-saved is false or even claiming to be already saved in this life is wrong. According to Matthew 10:22 only those who persevere will be saved, and the flesh being what it is none of us know whether we will persevere or not.
You can’t lose something that you have eternally. And on the other hand you can’t lose something you never had to begin with. Bottom line is you either believe or you don’t.
no your salvation does not depend on you you did not earn it you can't lose it Christ saved you your belief is a gift from God He gave you the faith to believe our works don't save us they condemn us which is why we are in need of a savior
Believe the gospel and you will be saved. Trust in Christ alone as your Savior. In his shed blood for your sins. His death burial and resurrection. There are no other requirements. Faith alone in Christ alone. The moment you believe then you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise until the day of redemption. Ephesians 1: 13-14.
As i have Read and understand. Salvation opens the door... You must walk through it; Salvation is similar to being released from prison after 30 years: will you act as though still imprisoned or will you be a new person when you leave that prison?
2 Timothy 2:11-“It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” Or Ephesians 1:13-14” In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” If someone could walk away from the faith or lose the faith that would mean that he had lost one. And all the father has given him he hasn’t lost one
Hebrews 10:26-31 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgement........
"Persevere until the end" is addressed to those who go through the great tribulation. They did not get saved in the church age. They are not members of the Church. They are not saved by grace through faith. They have to persevere until the end by not taking the mark of the beast.
The last church age goes through the great tribulation. There is no 7 year tribulation. That is a Jesuit idea that came from Francisco Ribera. There is no pretrib rapture either. Christians will go through the great tribulation
What about those of us that have believed in Jesus and accepted Him, now struggle with their faith? This is confusing and I feel condemned without clarity. How can we be assured of salvation if we go through a time of struggle in our faith. How can anyone be assured of faith because most if not all will struggle with faith at some point... How is it possible to rely on salvation based on this teaching? Not only that, a good example are teenagers and young people. They get saved and believe in Christ but then they are brainwashed and fall away for a time. Our children, are they then lost during this time? Would we lose them to hell if they perished during this time in a car wreck or some other tragedy? This is terrifying and torments me day after day.
Let me ask a genuine question. Do you believe that had you died before that “second” coming to Christ, that you would have gone to hell?
Well said... Amen and amen!
Not taking away from your experience.. but couldn’t you have been saved all along and God used these events to strengthen your faith? Faith has ebs and flows for even the strongest Christian psalm 51:12
I’m glad to read your faith is strong though!
🩵🫶🙌🙏
Saved by faith, not by works, less any man should boast!
I talk and think about Jesus every day and yes i try not to sin and i still feel Jesus in my life . praise God Almighty
I tested the lord in my youth and he kept me, in spite of my attempts to destroy myself.....even unto death. he said to me " I have plans for you!" and all of my attempts to thwart that were for naught.

Ephesians "Sealed unto the day of redemption".
How about what Paul said in Col 1:21
He said "if indeed you continue in the faith" .
They departed from us because they were not of us.

Hebrews 10 "no more sacrifice for sins".....

If you can't earn salvation through moral perfection, you can't lose salvation through moral imperfection.
PEACE TO ALL THOSE IN CHRIST JESUS
I was a Christian raised person to become a athiest for so many years to come full circle and fully faithful for the last 4 years
I believe if you fervently pray to God to keep you strong in Him ...
Amen!
Beautifully said. Thank you. Amen
You do get justified by faith Romans 3:28 says; "therefor we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law"
If you have to stay in the faith doesn’t that make your salvation dependent on you? I know GOD keeps us no matter what.
GOD BLESS!!!
⚫ "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:" (2 Timothy 2:12)
⚫ "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jesus, in John 15:6)
Salvation is impossible without the grace of God. WE make the choice to receive His promised grace and mercy (Prov 28:13) . . . or to reject. That's why there is such a thing as _judgment._
Judgment is on "the house of God" right now (1 Peter 4:17).
⚫ "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (Hebrews 4:1)
Salvation is a choice "Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve...". That being the case, and the fact that we have free will, we can change our mind.
@@TheBibleSays Men do not cast "souls" into the fire. The angels do. So that verse ius not saying what you think it is saying.

@@melaniexoxo that's very true.
Good word brother. Continue in the faith and persevere to the very end. Far too many come against this and refuse to repent from their sinful lives. We must walk as Christ walked obeying His commands and doing the will of the Father. Love you all, God bless
I am one of Christ's sheep. I know his voice. I cannot be lost.

Why are you quoting verses addressed to Israel?
Yes, Christ will come looking for you if you are truly His.
Kept by the power of God _through faith._ 1 Pet 1:5.
Thank you Jesus Christ for dieing for the whole world and Loving me and my family and preserving us and everyone that is saved.
People need to learn the difference between sanctification and justification.
You don't lose your salvation! We are sealed by the holy spirit until the day of redemption....

I have been struggling with this "losing salvation" bit because of some videos I have watched. I talk to God often about this, so glad I came across this video.

Paul is saying if you hear this gospel and believe it in vain. 1st Cor. 15:1
"In vain" useless, doubtful, no possibility of fulfillment. Who Paul is speaking to is people who have heard the gospel and never truly believed. You can't lose somthing you never possessed.
You cannot lose everlasting life... BTW How long is eternal life?
I feel like i never possessed it
I love the way you devide the word. You sir is the most Bible knowledeable person I know.
I’ve known too many that walked away from the faith. Most of my family. 😞
No one can lose everlasting life.
@ColonelEmpire So a Christian thar turns their back on Jesus will still be saved? Scripture seems to say otherwise. A rejection to the Holy Spirit, isn't that the one unforgivable sin?
To understand the Bible ,you NEED the Holy
Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit it is impossible
the understand the Bible.
That is correct... We must remain in the faith...
1John 2:1-2 KJV Jesus is our advocate

3 Different answers... I guess I'm never going to know the answer to that question in this life.
I have never heard a straightforward answer to this question, and the above video was no exception.
its good to listen to peoples interpretation, but only the word of God will answer that question for you.
The simple truth is you can’t lose you’re salvation. It’s just you’re either saved or you’re not.

Heb.. 12:14....Follow peace with all men,
and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord....
Thank you again my heart rests in the almighty but my flesh is weak, you restore strength with the word thank you
The holy spirit is our guarantee of salvation
*Nonsense!* Unless we are *_following_* the holy spirit we are spiritually dead:
⚫ "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 8:13,14)
If we no longer abide in Jesus in repentance, following the holy spirit, then we are no longer in justification. We return to condemnation, no longer "in His goodness" or grace:
⚫ "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1)
⚫ "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jesus, in John 15:6)
⚫ "For if God spared not the natural branches [the Israelites], take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." (Romans 11:21,22)
Paul had the holy spirit, and understood that even after preaching to others he could possibly return to a life of sin and therefore be rejected, a "castaway":
⚫ "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." (1 Corinthians 9:27)
⚫ "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (Hebrews 4:1)

1 Tim.4:16 - Take heed unto yourself and to the doctrine of Christ - in so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you
I have been so disobedient and abandoned the Lord my God over the years. It's not worth it to go my own way. I will believe God to be my only help
Very good and true answer. Well explained, thank you for sharing.
Once you love God always love God.That sounds good.
“But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”
- Mat 10:33 (NKJV)
But if you’re saved you won’t deny Him… if you truly are saved you can’t deny Him.
If what you are blathering on about were true then Peter went to hell because he denied Christ 3 times before the cock crowed...care to explain?
If you're someone who wants to know the Lord and accepted him once I don't think you'll ever truly fall away, because God knows our every move before we make it, so I think God already knew if we were his elect or not probably long before we were even born which is crazy to think about. he had before knowledge of what we would do, even though we have free will, God is so intelligent that he knew every mistake and backslide we would make and knew we would come back and not only that but Gods will is to keep us close to him so despite freewill God for knew we would want to be with him again no matter how many backslides we make
Same
2nd Peter 3:9, he doesn't want us to perish. Follow his word, you are still saved.
You are forgiven
If God keeps you in the faith, how do you depart from it? It's contradictory
Brother Mike thank you sir! You are a blessing and your experience and gifting are so needed for us young men of the faith.
May glory and honor be to my Lord and my God Jesus Christ forever and ever
Amen
You're 100% correct, there are still dozens of people though who think they have to work to salvation which makes me wonder how they could teach such a thing if they're not even sure about their own salvation, if that were true they're almost certainly damned without a shadow of a doubt. People are so stupid sometimes and it's painful to watch. You however sir are right and blessed and I'm glad others have the actual truth and aren't pushing the false doctrine of works unto salvation
Amen
God bless all of you I love you all and I’m not ashamed to be your brother
Absolutely 💯💯💯
Agree 💯
If you are truly saved you will persevere to the end. If you do not persevere, you were never saved? Is this why Christ said 'I NEVER knew you'??
What about the story of the prodigal son
Amen! As long as we are still alive, we can repent. That scripture in 2chronicles7 " if my people who are called by my name.........then will I hear their prayers and heal their land....". Still stands true.2 chronicles 7:14
The story was about the elder son...but the prodigal was lost until he repented...then he was saved.
The son came back to the father
@@ColonelEmpire
Luke 15:24 says the Son was alive "again" after returning. So, I assume he was alive before leaving his Father's property and influence. So, he wasn't dead at that time, meaning this must be a story about a believer falling away, then repenting.
Pastor Arnold Murray taught very much the same you remind me of him a little great job
OSAS! Saved by faith, not works lest any should boast. As Christians we should be very straight forward about this topic. When we receive the free gift of Salvation from God it is ETERNAL no matter what! God bless and be well. ✝️
Jesus blood cleanse sin. The animal blood just covered it
This is the best teaching on this topic I've heard. SHALOM
Believe and always believe.. the point is no matter what happens DO Not give up.
If we are saved by faith, thru grace, and not by works, how can we lose our salvation by bad works?
4.) Jesus did not tell His disciples to preach “faith alone.” He told them to preach “repentance and remission of sins”:
“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:45-47)
@@gerardosanchez796 what if you become brain dead from car accident but had faith before ?
Love you brother pearl so thankful
You teach the finished work
Of Christ and faith alone in Christ alone and his death at Calvary Paul said I’m determined to know nothing among men save Jesus Christ and Him crucified
Thank you for your comment! We enjoy hearing from our viewers.
@@thedoormichaelpearl thanks I did send a question today under my real given name on the website in regards to what happens to resurrected bodies and does the spirit of those who are resurrected during the rapture and if they enter into the body again coming from heaven into a body and just an explanation on that from 2 Thessalonians 4:16-17 Thanks God bless u family
So good to hear someone teach what I also believe, and have been frustrated trying to relay it to others so often. Well done.
Exactly. Thanks for sticking up for truth
Thank you for your time and I will ALWAYS follow Him and His commandments. Nothing man can separate us
This is the best message I ever heard
Not only are professing bible believers divided in their beliefs over eternal security they are divided over just about everything!
no your salvation does not depend on you you did not earn it you can't lose it Christ saved you your belief is a gift from God He gave you the faith to believe our works don't save us they condemn us which is why we are in need of a savior
Thank you, good sermon.
What if you repent and come back I was the lost sheep?
There is joy in heaven over one sinner that repents.
If you depart from the faith, you were never in it to begin with.
As i have Read and understand. Salvation opens the door... You must walk through it;
Salvation is similar to being released from prison after 30 years: will you act as though still imprisoned or will you be a new person when you leave that prison?
Belief and faith are two different things.
2 Timothy 2:11-“It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” Or
Ephesians 1:13-14” In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” If someone could walk away from the faith or lose the faith that would mean that he had lost one. And all the father has given him he hasn’t lost one
Good teaching I believe I am saved tho I slip at times but ask for God's forgiveness I will be in Heaven one day
Hebrews 10:26-31 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgement........
"Persevere until the end" is addressed to those who go through the great tribulation. They did not get saved in the church age. They are not members of the Church. They are not saved by grace through faith. They have to persevere until the end by not taking the mark of the beast.
Thank you for saying this
The last church age goes through the great tribulation. There is no 7 year tribulation. That is a Jesuit idea that came from Francisco Ribera. There is no pretrib rapture either. Christians will go through the great tribulation
@@xintimidate you aren't a believer then, many Scriptures on the Rapture, if you don't believe it then you're saying Jesus is a liar.
May God bless you dearly Sir.
