Are you getting all these incredible sounds via the audio interface. Super helpful video, helps put some perspective on all the sounds in the GX100, esp. since I believe they don’t directly copy well known amps but kind of do their own variation instead.
I’m new to the multi effects units like this: if I want to run this into the front of my amp, do I just not select an amp in the signal chain on the unit?
Where might one learn the placement or order of the pedals? Does the Boss GX 100 allow for one's own purchased IRs? How well does this unit perform for lush ambient music?
One question for you that i'm Curious about, Yes? Can I have like a delay assigned to the patch? But not have it on one of the foot switches , so it's always on?
Hi Paul, congratulations for the very clear and explanatory video. Is it possible to connect the boss gx-100 at the same time to an amplifier without pedalboard simulation and to a mixer with simulation on? Another suggestion, how does the Gx-100 sound connected to the input of an amplifier? Once again congratulations and thank you very much for your attention.
Hi Fernando, yes I guess that would be possible if you use the DIV MIX block, the only problem would be you could only have 1 effect after the div mix block. I would say your best option would be to get the Boss GT-1000, that’ll do what you need.
Thanks for doing this. Do you know if the Solo Switch on the various amps simply boost volume or does it effect the EQ in any way to help solos cut through?
Just got this thing. Overwhelmed, but also I feel like I have to many options, so much tones just from different amps. And there’s not even one effect 😢😂
Can we run signal from gx100 from lef output with cab SIM ,,on ,,to mixer and right output without cab SIM to power amp with 2x12 cab. Don't see a option in output settings to do that, Only output settings for, mixer, recording, katana, jc120, and tube amps, boss is strange compared to other units , nice chops, bought your pack for gx100 and sounds perfect, thanks but I think I will return gx100 back to shop, my £235 valeton gp200 got better heavy rhythm amp sounds overall, and I can choose output with cab SIM on one output and without on another output. Effect is amazing on boss units , but amp simulation not really good for heavy stuff
Hello! I’m having one issue. I just got the GX-100 and so far the only issue I’m having is that I feel like there is a sound gate on that’s to sensitive? My sustain just cuts right off and I’m using two core PRS’s 594 and a custom 24-08 core. My Kirt Hammet Ltd 602 even cuts right off. So what setting needs to changed because I don’t see a sound gate in any of the presets. Hope it’s ok that I asked you. Playing through a PRS HDRX 20 into a 2x12 Marshall …Thanks James
Did you ever figure out your issue? The only thing I can think of is your input gain may need to be raised or your output setting may need to be changed. If there isn't a noise gate, I'm not sure what else could affect your signal. Maybe the expression pedal is set low?

I’m new to the multi effects units like this: if I want to run this into the front of my amp, do I just not select an amp in the signal chain on the unit?
hey anyone know what amps EXACTLY these are based off of?
Where might one learn the placement or order of the pedals? Does the Boss GX 100 allow for one's own purchased IRs? How well does this unit perform for lush ambient music?
One question for you that i'm Curious about, Yes?
Can I have like a delay assigned to the patch? But not have it on one of the foot switches , so it's always on?
So are these the same amp models Roland used in the Cube series for a long time?
Great tones being coaxed out of this. Are you playing the GX-100 via an FRFR cab or DAW+Monitors? 🤔
Cheers Paul, straight into my interface.
@@TheStudioRats thanks for the quick reply. If you don't mind me asking, are you using TRS>XLR cables or something else?
Thanks for doing this. Do you know if the Solo Switch on the various amps simply boost volume or does it effect the EQ in any way to help solos cut through?
I think it does have a eq section too.
Sir Paul what is the setup of your compressor for this patch?
I’m afraid as this was some time ago, I can’t remember. Sorry
But normally how do you setup you're compressor?
i'm torn between getting this and the Ampero Stage
Is it better to plug into the front of an amp or effects return?
how are you tweaking that with a mouse? Do you have it running through your computer?
Just got this thing. Overwhelmed, but also I feel like I have to many options, so much tones just from different amps. And there’s not even one effect 😢😂
Can we run signal from gx100 from lef output with cab SIM ,,on ,,to mixer
and right output without cab SIM to power amp with 2x12 cab. Don't see a option in output settings to do that,
Only output settings for, mixer, recording, katana, jc120, and tube amps, boss is strange compared to other units ,
nice chops, bought your pack for gx100 and sounds perfect, thanks but I think I will return gx100 back to shop, my £235 valeton gp200 got better heavy rhythm amp sounds overall, and I can choose output with cab SIM on one output and without on another output.
Effect is amazing on boss units , but amp simulation not really good for heavy stuff
What pickup guitar are you using?
I have the GAFC switch for my Katana, Does this unit have all the sounds in the Boss Katana amp, like the DC-30?
What pickups are in your Strat sir?
HI ! do you have any suggestions to get a great sound with a marshal dsl 40? it's very difficult , I don't know why , but I'm pretty sure it will be better on logic pro with my YAMAHA HS7 ... but ,I need to use my gx100 on my ampli marshall DSL 40. if you have any suggestions I'm in !
