All anybody would have to do is step out and go for a walk. You will hear laughter, conversation, smell delicious food, see smiling faces, make some friends, learn a new word or two. The towns are not dead….❤

That garden is amazing, with sooo much potential! The wife said she wants to keep the whole building as a single home cuz she wouldn’t give up the garden. I don’t disagree with her.

In our little hamlet in Umbria the towns people come out in the evenings, during the week, about 9pm and socialize. It’s wonderful.

I think the stone cistern things are for water storage for the veggie garden. This is Italy, there should be tomatoes, basil, zucchini, and eggplant growing. The stonework in the garden area is a hidden gem.
those plaster centre pieces are called a "ceiling rose" in england / New Zealand and in French its a "rosach de plafound" though my french spelling might be wrong

1 thing I would like clarification on is why wouldn't antique tiles not be allowed back in the house? And if that's true who controls that decision ????

Visited Arpino several times... love it. Transit up and down the hill? I have always had a car.
Buses come into the city proper. You could walk down from there. That's how these people live to be 90+ all the time!

so wow. that place you showed could look like the one belonging to Claudia? The stone could be exposed like that? I'd have to come up with a decent sized bath room somewhere with a nice tub. Those little narrow rooms creep me out. I done know why but they do. Maybe it's just the camera.
Partly is the camera lens. I use a wide angle to get as much of the room in the shot without having to pan back and forth too much.
This place could be nice like Claudia’s apt but not exactly the same. The cost to expose any stone that might be there would be astronomical.
