One part of the story that he left out is that in the 50's, Miller returned to Sand Cave and had the crystal section of the cave Floyd was trying to open to the public, opened up, and funded a team of a explorers and scientists to study and map the cave systems for a week to show it off to the public.
Wendigoon is great, you should do reactions to his stuff. He has a wide variety of content, but is most known for his conspiracy and arg breakdown videos.

A lot of people comment about the coffee, milk, and whiskey given to Floyd instead of water. What they don't know, is that water filtration isn't what we know until the 1970s. Now we drink filtered water in plastic bottles. We are absolutely spoiled.
Many people also note there were a lot of bad actors in this story. However what I see, is a lot of guys doing everything they could to get Floyd out of there. The very best of humanity was on display here, even if Floyd died. The only real villain, is the dentist that put Floyd in a glass coffin. The worst that can be said of anyone else, is that they were unhelpful or a grifter.
There's always going to be the greedy and the grifters. Banishing capitalism isn't going to solve that problem.
What I see is a enterprising spelunker, loving brother, a daring firefighter, the engineering businessman, an honest reporter, and the brave friend. Floyd might have not survived in the end, but him and those five men ARE heroes in my book.
No, this is a hopeful story. It shows me that the good guys outnumber the bad.

Yeah that's a fair point, just because people had stupid ideas doesn't necessarily mean they were bad actors.
I really appreciate your outlook on the whole situation, I think the world would be a lot better of a place if more people had your mentality!

Again, there was some boiling and filtration of water. However the best way to clean water back then, was to boil it into alcohol or coffee or tea. Mass commercial filtration of water didn't become a thing until the 70s. We have an abundance of clean water, because of capitalism.
Evil is not born, it is cultivated and is a choice. Evil cannot create, only corrupt or destroy. This is why Good will always outnumber and overcome Evil.
The mortal world is also very temporary. Luminous beings we, not this flesh. A bad guy/gal might gain power, but they will eventually pass from this world AND face the same Judgement we do. The question you have to ask yourself: Do you want Jesus there as your defense lawyer or do want to foolishly be your own lawyer before God?
We have the free will to make that choice. Make it a good one.

@@FrameOneAlex Except excusing the people that then went and made those fake rumors and all those campfires are bad actors, these people both condemned Floyd to death instead of trying to help out, they wasted time trying to entertain themselves than trying to help get the man out of the cave, had people not done that Floyd might have survived but because so many people kept interfering with the rescue operations the chances of Floyd being rescued got lower and lower, second by second, there's a reason this expression's used so highly in the medical field "every second counts" because that's the reality, the longer you spend fucking around trying to figure out what to do, the less time you actually have to get help.
