Good morning Sir, that was a fantastic build video, and to think it was only 1/72nd scale, you are a true artist of this great hobby and also a true inspiration to us modest builders, I hope you and your family are keeping safe and well, very best regards from Australia.
I totally understand your pain with Special Hobby builds.....I'm currently having the same struggles with a SH Fiat G50 in 1/32 scale so applaud your work on the Yak.....great job overall and some good tips for weathering....and all done in 1/72 scale!!
Being from the UK, I'm kind of spoiled for cool planes that served in the RAF but its always cool seeing the liveries of planes from other countries- especially not WW2 ones :) This came out amazingly well too! Nice work!
Thanks, we have many interesting airplanes that served or still serve our airforce. However there is a poor choice of kits for them and most are short run or very old.
Oh Nice ! I have this KP model next on my build queue (soon as I finish the Avia B35). Will take great inspiration from this video, and see if I can't get close to how good this one came out. Long live old Eastern Bloc kits ! Thanks for posting
Fantastic job on the Yak, having done a few of the older Special Hobby kits myself I know what a pain they can be. Do you know if they have gotten any better with there newer kits? I really like the early Russian jets, but it is so hard to find decent kits for the early Yaks & Migs.
Beautiful job sir! I love how it turned out and really like those Bulgarian markings.... It is lovely. But tough kit to build eh? I have one and want to do it someday. Currently doing Amodel Su-1 so I have built some tough kits before...Special Hobby Boomerang and their recent FH-1 Phantom, Azur Bloch Mb152, Amodel Yak-1 (all 1/72) . So if I can handle those kits do think I can handle this one?
I have never used Mr. Cement before (only Tamiya extra thin) you are applying this cement to painted surfaces... how is it bonding? Is that a feature of Mr. Cement?
It's probably similar to the tamiya cement. Just as tamiya there are several types... slower, faster and super fast which also comes with their respective flowing properties,
@@MMScaleModels Thanks. Is there something you don't have a tutorial for lol? I'll check it out. Do you explain what the black undercoating does exactly in the tutorial?
@@WatchMysh yes there are plenty of tutorials left to do 🙂. The gloss black gives the depth and reflectivity of the metallic layer. I think it’s explained in the tutorial.

@@MMScaleModels Thanks.
I think I have this one in the stash. May dig it out and have a closer look after watching this. Nice work. The tough ones are always more rewarding.
Thanks mate, that's true 👍
you did an outstanding job ! love the painting. hope you have a great week, cheers, Tony
Thank you! Cheers!

Have fun!
*Beautiful little jet fighter, not easy but really good at last!*
Thanks, yeah challenging but makes me appreciate the engineering of the better kits even more 🙂
Nicely done, I have such a hard time with PE in 1/72 , but you made look easy. Beautiful build!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Superb build, and lots of helpful tips. Thank you
Thanks for watching mate 👍
I've heard that Vallejo Metal Varnish works too, haven't tested it yet though... Nice video, thank you!
I guess it is acrylic.
@@MMScaleModels Yes, it's water based.
Excellent work, your attention to small detail and patience is admirable, beautiful kit, subscribed.
Thanks mate, welcome to the channel 👍
1/72? Wow! So perfect !
Thanks mate 👍
Great job, in what seems to be a difficult kit. Like your weathering with oil-brusher as well.
Yes it was but when the box is open it has to be done :)
Man did that turn out nice,! Thanks. I have to add. This is so good I’m going to start building 1/72 scale aircraft
Thanks mate and have fun!
Ah, a Special Hobby Special Kit, I see. Excellent build, Metodi. Makes me think that the old KP 23 wasn't that bad after all :D
Thanks mate! I have no Idea, haven't seen the KP kit in person.
Brilliant work thank you for posting great finish 👍
Thanks mate 👍
Wow, once again an excellent build!
Thanks mate!
Beautyfull effect with this nightmare kit. I built one and know what You feeling. Many problems with resin parts-esspecialy exhaust nozzle and wings.
Thanks mate, those type of kits look so promising when you open the box.
Kapselek... I have this kit but have not started it. Is it really a nightmare to build? Also what are things to watch out for? Thank you
Resin parts are not fit well. I had problem with exhaust and correct angle. Watch out with canopy too. Not fit perfect. This kit is typical short run.
Brilliant build. I like how you used foil to make the shockabsorbers. I think I might give that a try.
Thanks mate 👍 the aluminium foil looks pretty good IMO and it is easy to apply.
Great result from what looks like a very challenging kit.
Thanks mate 👍, it was challenging indeed.
Great job, nice to see something different.
Thanks mate, yeah its not another bf-109 :D
Really nice build, well done!
Thanks mate 👍
Looks perfect, great done! ;) I have that kit, but I must think twice now, when and how to build it. ;) All the best for You! ;)
Thanks mate, its build-able but frustrating so you got to really want this model :)
well done; perservering with a kit; because you have an affinity with the real life aircraft.
Thanks mate 👍
Very nice model indeed, really like the weathering part.
Thanks mate 👍
As an alternative to your metal sealer, I'd definitely recommend alclad aqua gloss
Thanks mate, is it durable?
@@MMScaleModels It is, although it seems to be dry after a few minutes, it is recommended to be left to cure for 6 hours.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching mate 👍
Very nice job.... especially when you see your hand, the plane is tiny! How about a Balkan Tu-134 or -154 next? 😎
Thanks Paul, that's a great Idea. I only have to source the kit and some decals :)
интересный полезный фильм!.результат мне очень понравился!.хоть и даёте информацию о некачественности модели, я всё же приобрету Як 23...👍🏻🤝
Thanks mate 👍
Beautiful work

I enjoyed the music though..😅
Hope the build too 🙂

Thanks Mike, I haven't built anything newer from them but reviews are decent.
Alclad II Aqua Gloss - ALC-600
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Great build 😃👍shame no makes a better version
Thanks! Well It's an odd ball more or less so not a lot of demand I guess.
Страхотно... Иска ми се и аз да можех да ги правя такива...
Можеш, трябва само работа и търпение :)

Ok thank you sir! 👍
@@jonathanhudak2059 You should be fine. Patience and thinking ahead are the key to these kits, as you may have already discovered.
Very good

Awesome again. :) thanks for posting this inspiring video. Why do you paint a glossy black coat underneath the metallic surface?
That's standard procedure in natural metal finishes, I have a tutorial on that. You can check it out.

Where I can buy the circle cutter that you used to mask the wheels?

Thanks mate i got mine on aliexpress but have seen them on amazon as well.

Thanks, its Bulgarian though.
Can you give me a link or the manufacturer name of that circle cutter you were using? It looks great!
