I remember watching this movie at seven at my grandmas house. She had it on VHS tape. That demon coming out the TV scared the crap outta me 😟 Being in my 30s now, this is definitely one of my favorite horror movies.
I don't care what anyone says, Demons 2 is one of the greatest and most influential horror movies ever. It set the milestone for so many horror movies that came afterwards. It was the first movie to show monsters coming out of a TV, an infection turning people into ravenous monsters, people being trapped in a dark building where the monsters are lurking somewhere looking for them, and an all-out war between humans and the infected -> remind you of any more recent horror classics perhaps? (Ringu, REC, and practically every zombie movie after the 80s comes to mind).

Not really it was like jaw 2 lacked what the original gave to us. What I didn't like was the victims trapped in a high rise. They should've replaced the story of that and had a couple mourning the death of their dog and had to dig a grave in back yard and discovery the mask and the wife tries it on and BAM and suburb gets infested with demons
Love this movie as childhood. New Evil Dead 4 (aka Evil Dead Rise) filming in apartments just like this movie and original director Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead trilogy) is executive producer in Evil Dead 4 said this is movie is Dark, serious & excruciating and also Bruce said Evil Dead Rise is so good.
Arrow Video touch to these films is always astonishing to me. Especially with Dario films as many of them are Art pieces themselevs. ARROW makes them come alive. I LOVE IT.

The Ogre from 1989 was billed as Demons 3: The Ogre but as I said is in name only. The Church ( also from 89) was going to be a sequel but they decided to distance it and changed the script
La Chiesa began as a sequel, but it’s very much it’s own thing because Soavi had tons of it rewritten to make it a more serious affair and they basically purged any element of Demons from it. I would still highly recommend it, it’s a great movie! There’s also Demons 3: The Ogre, but it’s a name only sequel and totally unofficial. How Italian of the filmmakers haha!

The scene with them all running down the hall with glowing eyes could do with a digital retouch because it looks a bit goofy now but the rest could still be done with makeup, etc
