Thanks to Spongebob I'd never take Nosferatu seriously, but this might change that. Maybe
Vampire the masquerade taught me Clan Nosferatu were turbo nerds 😂
If there's a scene where Nosferatu flickers the lights... it would probably take me out of the movie for a minute because I'll be cackling internally, but it'll somehow make me appreciate the movie even more.
" DIE ZOMBIE!!"
“ then who was flickering the lights?” lol 😂
Lmao me too 🤣
SpongeBob and Squidward are so proud of of him, he finally made it to the big leagues.

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this film. Robert Egger's is the only director who I will guarantee go to a midnight release for; loved seeing the Northman, most recently. Here's to another awesome film.
Eggers is probably the greatest of our era. The Witch was beautifully done, and this looks amazing so far. His attention to detail and lack of compromise is true unmatched. I can't think of anyone who even comes close to him. He thankfully doesn't fall into all the trappings of other directors. See Salem's Lot remake for what I mean.
2:09 We missed such creative scenes.
Eggers will give us the best Christmas gift.
Tim Burton may have given us the Nightmare before Christmas but only Robert Eggers has the will and nerves to give us this living nightmare on Christmas Day.

"Fear thee old blood"
I thought the same! Amazing
If your into that style, check out the french gothic-thriller "Brotherhood of the wolf" (Le pac de loup) - should keep you happy til Old Nos shows up.
can you parry Nosferatu I wonder
About as close as we'll ever get, I'm sure
I just watched The VVitch for the first time the other day. That was a horror movie acting masterclass. This movie looks like it is doing it yet again under Robert Eggers. Also, I’m glad they didn’t show his face again like the first trailer. Just tease that horrifying presence of his…
Have you seen the lighthouse?!? If not, you need to watch that right away.
@PopsiCOLE The Lighthouse is a stupid movie. The VVitch is great though.

A legendary movie that was almost destroyed by a copyright claim now gets a remake. Do you see the irony, UA-cam?
This is actually the second remake. The 1979 film was a masterpiece as well.
@@leavemealoneyoutube1707 Yeah, but that one basically was more a Dracula adaptation with Count Orlok design. This one seems like a more proper remake

Well, apart from feeding on people like any Vampire ever, Nosferatu spreads the plague through Rats like a disease. Not only that but He has a telepathic link to the female protagonist
Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1922) I've watched this masterpiece. Hope they do justice to this legendary tale in this movie. Really excited for this one.
Reviews are calling it a masterpiece and Robert Egger’s best film yet. I consider The Witch and The Northman to be masterpieces, so I can’t wait!

Shreck's portrayal from the 1922 film is still by far the best rendition, followed by Willem Dafoe in the 2000 quasi-remake.
She called out the person she is with and said “He is better then you In EVERY aspect.” Then you hear the moaning. SAVAGE.
Yeah he's picking up on the cuckoldry that was implied from the very beginning with Mina/Dracula/Jonathan.
@@ricardocastillo5485 Except there wasn’t any sexual tension between Dracula and Mina in the novel. Most of the sleep walking and other symptoms of Dracula’s influence were done to Lucy. At most, Dracula had more sexual tension with Jonathan in the novel and Mina’s blood was sucked by Dracula, eventually turning Mina into a link for Dracula to spy on the others, but this allows Mina to give Van Helsing and the other men information on where Dracula is so they can kill him.
@@theassortedhobbyist This isn't based on the Dracula novel.
@@VibeMusicAI No it’s not, but it doesn’t help that the original Nosferatu film was based on the novel and that this version still borrows a lot of the characters and plot beats from Dracula. The only differences are the changed names, it takes place in Germany instead of England, the sexual tension between the Dracula and Mina stand in characters, and Orlok being killed by sunlight in the original 1922 film.
@@theassortedhobbyistyes and that's why in the intertitles for Nosferatu (1922 public domain version) and in Herzog remake (1979) she is named Lucy, not Mina.

Funny to think this is not the first time Willem and Nosferatu were on the same movie.

Shadow of the Vampire - that was scary! This looks scarier. Eggers is a genius: he picks his films (writes them!) and directs with subtlety and art, light and shadow.
now THIS is a movie i plan on seeing in theaters.
Bill skarsgard fans ASSEMBLEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! ❤
I accidentally made a tradition of seeing every Eggers film in theaters with a good friend of mine. I say 'accidentally' because The VVitch was a total wildcard, but hooked us for The Lighthouse and The Northman. Excited to enjoy another Eggers banger in theaters. His shots are always fantastic on the big screen.
This honestly looks amazing and way better than any other horror movie I’ve seen recently. The tone alone has me excited. It’s giving me sleepy hollow vibes with pure seriousness.
Its just a remake.
@karinadelma True, but the director of this remake is not your typical horror director. And just because it's a remake doesn't mean it can't be a good or great horror movie. Eggers has secretly been working on this project for years. It's actually the first movie he wanted to make when he was writing scripts for his debut:'The Witch,' but he didn't have the budget or the craft to be able to take on a film this big at the time. I get that horror remakes can be hit or miss, but something tells me we're in for a serious treat. This is Eggers' most passionate project to date. 💯
@@jaquinrice7923 makes sense i guess.

2:02 that shot is crazy.
The claw styled hand over the city reminded me of the original cover of Peretti’s, ‘This Present Darkness.’
Quite the read.
I’ll be passing on this flick, however.
The first one in 1979 is such a vibe and so gothic and cold especially when you watch 1979 Nosferatu in the morning early morning and you open a window and you sit there watching the movie.
Wasn’t the first one in 1922?
A close friend of mine saw an early screening last month , and if what he told me is true we are in for a masterpiece. He's also certain it will get several Oscar nominations. I'm hyped.
Oscars aren't the only way of measuring greatness, you know? I couldn't care less if a movie wins anything or actor are nominated. I like the experience of watching the movie.
