I actually enjoyed the extended commentary on this episode it's such a good one hast to be in the top 10 of all Still Game episodes. My favourite is the S6 episode "Hyper"

I loved those adventure books when I was younger. Out of curiosity, I scoured through one of the books, looking for a prompt to go to the final chapter. There wasn't one!? They're meant to be unfinishable on purpose. 😱
I've actually met a lot of the cast. I spoke to the actor who plays Navid at length and he's so lovely. I actually went to see an evening with the actor who played Winston a few weeks back and I'm going to see An Evening with Gavin Mitchell (boaby the barman) tomorrow night!

Aye the books that you choose the endings were amazing as a kid though I always wished they had more options for guiding the story. The limits of printed book form I guess but I loved them in the 80's. Sleep deprivation is horrible so no wonder you enjoyed a bit of a break from filming. Excellent episode. Keep them coming. The first part..... about the library is recogniasable over here. Older people managing on their pensions find it hard to pay for heating. So sometimes spend as much time as possible in a warm place - rather than feel the cold at home. Sneaking in their homemade lunch would have been cheaper than sitting in a cafe and buying a lunch. Life can be depressing for some of the elders..... so the library part set the scene for the inviting propect of the happy [ills.

That 'rolling' flask of tomatoe soup was brilliant Many 'moons' as a snotty kid I got hold of a Lorry tyre and 'rolled' down a 'sloping' footpath, somehow the 'dam' thing stayed on the path travelled 100 yards 'gathering' speed and 'smashed' a small white wooden gate to 'bits' the tyre 'lifted' 6feet in the air and 'crossed' a road and hedge ,and landed in a field. Just as watched aghast!, as that tyre went towards that gate, Victor and Jack watched aghast as that 'flask' went on its 'merry' way off the balcony towards the 'pensioner woman sitting below.....'that's why the writing is 'so' on it.!

A lot of the locations on still game are where or near where i lived as a kid an was growing up and i used to go up that park (ruchill park) in Maryhill area of glasgow and up in the bit where theyre talking about the mother and daughter etc we called it the flag pole and you could see all round the city from it
