Though I never tire of watching classic Still Game, watching your wonderful reactions to it, make rewatching the episodes a real event. 😎 Being a Glasgow born lass, I loved that transport museum when I was a kid, and I never tire of seeing the familiar locations that the show is filmed in, it's always a total joy. :) Oh, and I agree with you on the steak thing. So glad you said it's one of your favourite programmes to react to. Myself and my mate have now known each other for 41 years (I'm 47, he's 46). Haven't seen each other in over 10 as he lives in America now but he's still my oldest friend and I do miss hanging out with him. Have to disagree about the steak though. Unless it's well done I'm feeling sick haha also, beef jerky isn't a thing here, or at least I've never noticed it. Thanks for yet another brilliant reaction. You really do make us all very happy. Not just because you react to this but because you just get the humour and are such an open, big hearted bastard who loves a laugh! Thanks man. Hope you have a brilliant week. 😎

It’s what is sometimes referred to as an eye level grill. It was a trend for quite some time. Just a feature on a standard free standing cooker. My parents had a few cookers like that and in the seventies they had one which included a rotisserie. You don’t really see them these days apart from old ones.

The elevator scene with Isa is do good. The actors that play Jack and Victor were hungover during filming and were told they had to come up with a scene to fill the time.
They wrote that scene, handed it to the actor that plays Isa one hour before shooting and she did it in one take.

Scottish ma sel but lived in Belfast for years and introduced Jack n Victor n Co to my Belfast mates over there and loved watching their reactions! When I am back over there and finally go for my round in the pub n ask "What ye's wanting?" I still get "four pints ya pr**k!!" from the lads! and then "one Vodka and Cranberry, One Gin & Tonic and Southern Comfort and coke Ya pr**k!" from the lassies. I then in true "Tam" style feign going to the toilet and head straight for the Ferry Port 😁

Also it’s early for this but there will come a point after season 6 when you react to the live show. Just a bit of context there was many years the show was said to not be becoming back because of fall outs with the cast. But then as you will see it did come back for 3 more seasons. Just a bit of context as I just re watched the live show. But you’re a good 20 episodes from that. Love the reactions as always dude .. oh and don’t miss out the Christmas specials!

I was at the Apollo theatre in Glasgow in 1976 seeing Billy Connolly in his banana boots.
We took the Subway from Partick Cross to Buchanan street before they closed it for rebuilding.
Not bad for a sprog from the Thames Valley.
I was last there in 19, you know, precovid, visiting my grandkids.
You would struggle to recognise the place now.
The general layout hasn't changed but everything above Queen street station is changed beyond imagination.
I remember when Buchanan bus station was a giant shed that stank of piss.
But, times change. Buchanan was a railway station that took you to the North.
After leaving Faslane, I landed up working at Queen street.
I was at Corrour before the Trainspotters 😂 RETB Corrour Jimmy Morgan. I come on after the geese.

The part with Isa in the lift, if you watch the BTS they had like a minute left to fill and none of them wanted to do anything so they wrote Jane ( Isa ) a whole monolog as kind of joke but she pulled it off like a trooper

The reason loads of old folk order steak well done is due to the quality of meats they grew up eating. Especially during the war, cooking a steak well done was seen as a good way of cooking out bacteria and parasites. So my grans generation all grew up eating meat like that and cooking meat like that for their children. You wouldn't believe how difficult it was for me to get my 68 year old father to start eating steaks that were only medium. Now hes always cooking his steaks that way!

I 100% identified with your comment something that's not McDonald's. When I go to Glasgow City with this friend I'd like to go somewhere nice to eat. Not so posh and pricey like the place Jack and Victor went doesn't need to have tablecloths lol. But somewhere other than a fast food joint. He'll get off the the train and nip into UK bakery chain Greggs for a £1 sausage roll to take out. Then later he might take me to McDonald's, Burger King, Subway KFC a takeaway from the fish and chip shop or a cheap meal from a UK pub chain Wetherspoons where a lot of the food might be frozen and could be microwaved. But I'd like to go to a nice Italian, Indian, Chinese restaurant or a buffet or a pub where the food is cooked fresh. Maybe I should call him Tam lol because he's talking about the places we're you get the deals or how if you download the Burger King app you get offers on food.
Yet annoying thing about this friend last time this happened in Glasgow a few weeks ago and it was warm was. He's walking about wearing a £6'000 Omega watch, Ray Bans sunglasses, Asics trainers and a Ralp Lauren polo shirt. Yet he won't pay for some half decent food.

    Alan Shields
    Hamilton
    South Lanarkshire
    Scotland.
Glasgow has changed a hell of a lot since that episode was filmed when Victor is talking about the clock tower that used to be there that is the corner of Queen Steet &
Buchanan Street as you are turning in to Buchanan Street
the shop that you see with is
New Look most of the shops in Glasgow City centre are closed down now or completely gone all together.
    The Transport Museum
was in the Kelvin Hall for
    donkeys years ( decades )
It is now a short walk away next to the Clyde & the tall ship
in The Riverside Museum it's still free to get in as far as I know not been there in a good few years now.
Whare Jack & Victor got off the bus is Kelvin Bridge under there is whare some of the shots of the episode
Smoke on The Water where filmed the bit whare you see
    the graduate students smiling
& wavering to Jack , Victor & Winston.
I much preferred the transport Museum when it was in
The Kelvin Hall myself yes it was dated but inspite of it all being interactive now in
The Riverside Museum it has lot something in the process in my view.
    The Kelvingrove Art Gallery
just along the road is actually built back to front the entrance you go in is actually the back it looks more like a Victorian Train Station from the outside than a Museum! & Art Gallery
at the back of there is
a park it is there that
    Patrick Thistle football
( Soccer) club was formed it is also where the great pioneers how found Glasgow Rangers agreed they wanted to form their own football club one lunchtime.
This episode for me proves one thing you just never know how is listening to your conversations my Neece April is like that always listening in
to the grownups conversation she is scared she miss something PMSL.

£140 at the time this was filmed/set would have been not far off $280 US (i wwnt on holiday to America arpund the same time and swapped out £1000 for US dollars and got back just shy of $2000 to spend)
Also, although it doesnt say the name of theprank show they are watching at the beginning of this episode, its pretty obvious from the description they are giving that it is mrant to be "Beadle's About!" A show from the 80's/90's. A show that is available on UA-cam and eiuld be worth reacting to. Love these Still Game reactions. I watched them when Squirrel dod them, and have been a fan of still game ever since i sawthe original stage shiw, and the skits on "Chewin' the Fat".
If you get chance, reaction to the original Still Game Live at Cottier Theatre. Its on yourube, and it breaks Still Game down in to its most basic form and my god, is it funny!
The steak thing, every one has different taste buds, so how one thing tastes to you, may taste like absolute shit to someone else! There's no point in being a steak snob, how you have steak is right for you so that's all that matters. I used to eat mine medium/rare, but unfortunately, due to stomach problems I can't anymore because if I do, I end up shitting rusty water through the eye of a needle for at least a week afterwards, so if I have steak now I have it well done, but I will have it cooked in a few pints of beef stock, so it comes out juicy and full of flavour. And because it's cooked in its own juices it loses nothing. There's many things my illness has seen me say goodbye to that I wish I could still eat. I'm just glad that I still get to eat steak in whatever form it takes. Already had to say goodbye to bread, potatoes pasta rice etc. I've had to start buying zero carb everything, and it tastes like crap and is bankrupting me, but it's either that or nothing.
Love these still game reactions. I've watched every episode well over100x each (not exaggerating) and they never get old.

Hard disagree on the well done steak. Yes, many cooks and chefs are absolute crap and turn it into a lump of tasteless charcoal BUT If you get a decent cook then a well done steak is not hard or dry. There's a place I go in Brisbane where I love a well done eye fillet. It only works because the said they'd need to butterfly the steak. The fact they know to ask that tells you they know what they're doing because most places will just burn the crap out of it to make it "well done".
So yes. Well done steaks can be delicious; if you have a decent person making it. There. High horse dismounted. 🤣
