Luckily, no one got harmed and all our wares were preserved. But we had to settle in for around 36 hours. Plenty of time. I was sitting in one of the lounges and had a very shiny drink (I guess it was something purple with blue fog inside) and was going through the upcoming travel again, when someone asked me, if the place in front of me was still free. I looked up and my travel plans flushed down the drain of my consciousness. Because she took all of it. She had blue hair and a face that made everything I saw in my travels, every shooting star, every stardust, every landscape of any distant planet, look like a grey, dull stone. I don‘t even begin to describe her shape in the suit she wore. Her mother must’ve been from an elven planet or so. Anyway, she could cleary feel my astonishment as I said „Yes, of course!“. So, we got into talking and that led us into more talking and exploring the station together. What an amazing short time that was. The malfunction was fixed. And our journeys continued. I thought, this was just a nice coincidence of two souls. I couldn’t know, how much I would miss her. So whenever I’m here, I have at least one drink in that lounge where it all began. My eyes focused on all the people passing, ready to jump over the table, if I see her. Sometimes I just wish, something in the station would break, so we could stay a little longer. Once I deliberately delayed our trip till the crew was angry. But nothing. Where are you? Will we meet again?

I was once down there..when I was a kid. We visited the last of what remains. A booming city, now.. darkness. The light that seeps through is only from the hundreds of other stations like mine. That was 15 years ago. I’ve spent so much time up here, I could tell you more about the abyss than the remnant beneath. The thing I remember most…was the warmth. The sun wasn’t as hot as it is now. The Burns-Shawyer Drive let out its static discharge as we came out of lightspeed, and I gazed in awe at the Equinox Station. The massive ring, adorned with an expansive center line extending in both directions had me gazing in awe. The enormous hub at the center was our destination, its metallic structure gleaming in the soft glow of the planet below. As I guided my Marauder class starship closer, I marveled at how large it actually was. It was the biggest The Coalition had built so far. The station's circular expanse symbolized unity, while the extending lines hinted at the connections reaching far into the cosmos. But I realized it was as deadly as it was beautiful when i noticed the rather large rail cannons and lasers tracking me as I went to dock on the closest arm. Wouldn't stand a chance against those things in our current configuration. It's a good thing that they are on our side.

I was once down there..when I was a kid. We visited the last of what remains. A booming city, now.. darkness. The light that seeps through is only from the hundreds of other stations like mine. That was 15 years ago. I’ve spent so much time up here, I could tell you more about the abyss than the remnant beneath. The thing I remember most…was the warmth. The sun wasn’t as hot as it is now. The Burns-Shawyer Drive let out its static discharge as we came out of lightspeed, and I gazed in awe at the Equinox Station. The massive ring, adorned with an expansive center line extending in both directions had me gazing in awe. The enormous hub at the center was our destination, its metallic structure gleaming in the soft glow of the planet below.
As I guided my Marauder class starship closer, I marveled at how large it actually was. It was the biggest The Coalition had built so far. The station's circular expanse symbolized unity, while the extending lines hinted at the connections reaching far into the cosmos. But I realized it was as deadly as it was beautiful when i noticed the rather large rail cannons and lasers tracking me as I went to dock on the closest arm. Wouldn't stand a chance against those things in our current configuration. It's a good thing that they are on our side.

SciAmbient takes me to beautifully mysterious or strange sonic environments far from earth and yet feels firmly situated in a possible reality somewhere or sometime in the universe.

No it's not from anything, I composed it myself. I am a composer for games and film so that's probably why it sounds like it could be from something :)
