  • Can you tell if a snake is venomous by the shape of its head? 🐍 Well, in the U.S., we’ve heard people say that if snakes have a diamond-shaped head, they’re venomous. If they have a round head, they aren’t venomous. But the truth is, it’s a bit more complex than that.
‼️ If you follow this rule, don’t rely on just the head shape because it’s not the most reliable

It occurred to me one day that for newbies who want to learn what is venomous and what isn't, there is simple way. Just learn what a cottonmouth, copperhead and rattler look like and you pretty much have it. Coral snakes, yeah, but they are more rare and only a threat if you're handling them. If you're dealing with a snake that is not one of these, then you're ok. But still I wouldn't handle any snake unless I knew if I were you. There have been cases where exotics got loose. Like cobras, gaboon vipers, etc. So if you don't know what you're doing, then just leave them alone I would say. These days everyone wants to be the crocodile hunter. For some reason they forget what happened to him though. Lol.
