Have you tried using the panoptix ps30 transducer, with the Garmin PS31 mount. We use this alot in the Nordics to fish Salmon in 120-200 feet of salt water. Works well and with beam angle of 135x40 you see alot more.
thx for the reply. it depends, of course, but usually 40 to 60'. I was hoping mainly that I can use it to target fish and get the plugs right on top of them.@@unreellife
@@jkline999 so far I have been able to see my lure “live” in action up to 70’ behind the boat. If you put a pivotable mount at the back of the boat you should be able to use it for your application. The “cone” shooting out back is only 20 degrees wide. I think I might do a video and test it for this application!
Hey thanks for watching! So, I've been able to see my gear fairly clearly up to 100ft back. Of course the sensitivity (Gain) can be adjusted as well. I have not tried it back more than that yet. It would probably would.......it's supposed to see up to 200' any direction. Detail starts to fade the further you try to look. You thinking of purchasing one?
Yes. You are correct. That’s what the collected data showed. I’ve had few more outings to get used to using it……hey thanks for watching and the feedback!
What a great video and application!! Never thought about using it to troll! Super cool
Hey, thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it! Planning on doing another one about trolling soon.
It's getting better the technology. Thanks for the video!
It is! Hey, thanks for watching! I appreciate the comment.

Use mine when trolling for Murray Cod. Love watching fish attacking lures.
It’s pretty cool.
Thanks for the great new option for the livescope! I might try with bottom bouncer and spinner here in Kansas usa. New subscriber. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Love the underwater footage!
Me too!!whoot whoot!
I haven’t tried that no. Does everything show up pretty clear even in salt water?
Awesome video I would try it without the grid up 👍👍
You’re right! It’s so much better without the grid. I had just purchased it at time of video and didn’t even know you can take the grid off! lol
thx for the great vid. any idea how it would work backtrolling rivers, about 8-12' of water, for salmon and steelhead?
It should work. How far back do you set your lines?

How do you adjust the front view so you can see more than 30ft?
On the screen there is a manual adjustment ( + or - button )to increase or decrease the range of depth or distance. Hey thanks for watching!
I typically flat line troll for musky/pike with 85 feet of line in 20-35 fow. Would the livescope work that far back?

Not really. 1800 for a transducer puts it out of reach for me. I'll have to stick to my Hook 7 for now.
Hook 7 still a great unit!
@@unreellife certainly beats my old Eagle X65! Lol
does the camera show live on your'e phone?
No, it records onto an internal drive to view afterwards.
@@unreellife thats what i thought:) thanks for the video!
Great video! How fast were you trolling?
Hey thanks for the comment! I was trolling at 1.75-2mph.
What’s the other camera are you using?
Hey thanks for watching! The underwater camera I was using was the aqua vu strike vu camera.
We call'm PEE's, Performance Enhancing Electronics
You need to change your lure
