    I finished the blanket a few hours ago, it was probably one of the easiest blankets I’ve ever made.This was my first time trying Tunisian crochet and it was a breeze once I got the pattern down. I know I messed up on my toes a few times during the decrease rows (lost a stitch ever now and then) but I always made sure the next round had an odd number so I’d be left with the correct another to finish. Thank you for showing such an amazing design.

    This is a great video. I was wondering if there is a way to do a rectangle. I know it is possible with regular corner to corner crochet, but I am not aware of any instruction on a rectangle for tunisian crochet. I think it would be nice for making towels from cotton yarn or a blanket in a rectangle blanket. Thanks for another great video

    • @alicehanson3431
      @alicehanson3431 3 роки тому +8

      I made mine a rectangle! Once you get it to width, you decrease the first stitch and then continue to add a stitch on the end until you get it to length. Then, you decrease on both ends until it’s done!

      When you're done as far as the short side, start decreasing at the end of the row but carry on increasing at the beginning. So basically you use the same increase and decrease technique as described but after the short length is done you do both on the same row. Then when you've done more until you get to the part where you are done with the long side, you decrease on both sides of the row. So in short, increase increase until short side, then increase decrease until long side, then decrease decrease.

    I am practicing this technique before I commit to buying yarn to create this lovely and simple blanket. I have a question though...when working the last stitch on row, I know I'm to be sure that I insert my hook under both loops of the stitch. If I'm using two strands at the same time, I would have 4 strands, correct? What I mean is I'd have two strands on the front of the loop and two on the back of the loop. I just want to be sure I don't leave loops and have a raggedy edge. Thanks!

    Hi Toni! All of your work is wonderful! I am wondering if you know where I can get a long double ended Tunisian crochet hook for Tunisian crocheting in the round. I bought the Denise Interchangeable set based on your review and love them! I normally don’t like plastic but these are fantastic! They glide through everything. I’m using a metal one right now but I really don’t like it. Even wood or bamboo would work better than metal. I have searched the internet and the Denise site and can’t find anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
