Staying at Palazzo next month for four nights @ $100/night + resort fee. Sure, it's Sun-Wed nights, but it met my budget.
While I don't drink or eat like this guy (I'm waay too cheap), he does do a very good job of documenting his experiences and costs. I appreciate his efforts and have learned a lot from every vid.
Have an awesome stay Rick
That's the best way to do it if you ask me. Restaurants aren't booked solid, there's less people, more rooms for possible upgrades, and shows aren't sold out weeks in advance. Flight is cheaper too, for me this is a total no brainer!
I really enjoy these 'how much did it cost' videos...will you be doing one for COSMO?
Can't do Cosmo. Watch @Pompsie to see what happens when you film there.
i am so happy i found your vlog you made me want to come back again to vegas its been more than a decade ago.keep it up stay safe
Happy to have you be part of the channel 🤝
Thank you for the info. These type of videos are always very helpful to me. I like that you added the Walgreens charges, as that kind of stuff can really add up.
Thanks for the videos! Gives us ideas for our next Vegas trips.
😊
What a great breakdown of cost, thanks!! Subscribing 🙂
Congrats for the videos. Very cool to travel alone and have those experiences and give all this info to us.
I hope you use the players cards too even if you don’t gamble. I think you’d still get discounted rooms and then compare the before prices to the prices that are discounted. Also, a good excuse to go back to Vegas and try all the other restaurants you missed out on at some of these hotels. Not sure if any of this makes sense
Watching this only proves that (for me) going to a ALL-INCLUSIVE out of the country is less expensive!!!!
Love your Vegas presentations-too many choices at this fun city and you help me narrow it down
Thanks for the breakdown. Will be staying there in Dec.
Great video! Thanks :)
James " like really, who can drink all those drinks?"
Literally everyone else and I..." Challenge Accepted" lol
You popped up in my suggestion maybe a week or two ago and I've enjoyed all your videos currently and prior
Welcome man - glad to have you here 🤝
@@Coolist thanks for the journey
I appreciate the breakdown !
OG Kenny!! What's up bro 🤟🏻
Great video, very helpful!
Thank you for wonderful video! It is really interesting and useful! Plus motivate to travel! Cannot wait when all of us start travel again! Thank you for helping to promote tourism! love it so much
My husband and I stayed a Monday-Wednesday night at Palazzo about a month ago and including travel was about $3,000 for everything. We loved Tao and I should have taken your advice and avoided Sushisamba 🤣
Coolist...you are the COOLEST! Just discovered your videos (and am now subscribed) because of all of your awesome content! I'm mad I have visited Vegas a few times and wish I discovered your channel earlier. Thank you for all the content, tips, and tricks for Vegas! I will definitely stay at some of these properties you recommend and will spread the word.
Thank you!
Sure thing PITP. Glad you found the channel 🤝
Thank goodness for comps!! I come to vegas about every 4 months and always stay at either tower. Usually my bill is just the taxes for food. Palazzo treats me well and I’m grateful!
This was a 1st time viewing you. This really was the cool list!
Dude great video. U deserve Way more subs
Thanks Fish 🤝
New subscriber.... I live in Vegas and love it. My kids surprised me with dinner at Tao for my birthday, a big one, two years ago, as they know it's my favorite. As I own a condo here in Summerlin I am always shocked at the cost. I can go any day, any time, wander around and then go home for free!! I do like your videos especially the Circa one. Will keep watching!!
Urban dictionary defines a "Las Vegas handshake" as copping a feel when meeting a woman.
A step above the rest, great work brother! 🤙🏼💯
Thanks cc!! Always appreciated and appreciate your support!
Agreed
Well said..
Just found your channel and subbed. I'm usually a low roller, budget wise Vegas vactioner... Going in January for my 40th and splurging, Staying at Bellagio 2 nights and The Venetian 4 nights. Planning on splurging a little this trip and loved this break down and prices so I know what to expect!
Awesome! Welcome bro 🤝
1974 to 1978 were good years for me. Good Vlog.
They even have a separate tax for the the resort fee. LOL. Love the videos . I like the fact that you dont take freebies and give a totally unbiased view of your stays.
Thanks.
Love your videos! Can i hang out with you so much fun lol? I live in FL now, used to live in CA.
wow thx for the vid
Epic vegas trip
Tao was my first club experience in Vegas in 2006 😂
I definitely like staying Saturday-Thursday to save 💰
That resort fee 😱😱😱😱
Tao was my first club too! Tao raised me for my first for years in Vegas 😃
This guy is still in Vegas?! holy crap
Big hi from Kelowna B.C. Hope to go back soon. !!!
Wife and I stayed Sunday through Thursday ( leaving on Friday) at the Venetian. Including airfare our trip cost in the region of $3700 and we didn't gamble that much. Did spend a lot of money on entertainment (Cirque shows) but it was completely worth it.
Appreciate these "what did it cost" vids..thanks!!
One of my favorite drinks right now is the Hemingway daiquiri, it's not a slushy drink but a cocktail in a coupe glass. I haven't seen you have one and I recommend you try it, it's considered a tiki drink. Rum drink with lime and grapefruit juice, really nice!
Next time you see it on the menu give it a try, and if it's a bit sour just have the bartender sweeten it up for you a touch.
Another great video man thanks a lot, I'm living vicariously through you until I can set foot back in nevada.
Love me some tiki drinks 🍹 🏝
@@Coolist Would you ever consider including the Resort Fee in the average nightly cost breakdown so we can get a true sense of what it actually costs per night ALL IN?
Love these receipt 🧾 videos
It is so good to be local. Someday, I want to live in this city.
I used to stay at the Palazzo. I stay at the Cosmopolitan now. Much better deals and so much nicer there.
Lol I looked just like the thumbnail after my Vegas trip looking at my food receipts 😂😭😭
That 78 cents is killing me. The $1,900 I can deal with 😂😂
Im staying at the Palazzo this memorial weekend it's literally tripple the amount for a Friday - Sunday stay 😅
Awesome info, love the details. Not sure about the "don't like to waste $", just imagine if you drink only 1/10th of your drinks - you could drink (order) 10X the number of drinks - HEEHEE
Most of u guys don’t understand the coolist concept. He’s not going to deposit all the money into casinos by gambling n losing a lot of money ( I know been there , done that). His Vegas videos is let subscribers know how much it actually cost for most common sense people to have a good time staying at luxury hotels, eating, drinking good food with minimal gambling. Most people that travel to Vegas are not high rollers that lose money to casinos! Believe me all the money I lost to casinos all over the world is lot more than if I had to pay like coolist (no comps)!!! There is a reason why Vegas is getting bigger every year n money is Def not coming out of their pocket but from addict gamblers !!!
I just stayed 3 nights at palazzo comped...Maybe you SHOULD gamble...I don't do all the clubs, but thanks for the video!
Thank you for posting these charges. It Is difficult to budget a Las Vegas vacation with tips, and extras, really makes it easier to hear what you paid and enjoyed. I used to enjoy using the taxis and wonder how lift has changed the transportation, I heard that getting around is more difficult. Would like to know if you or your friends have suggestions or thoughts on Las Vegas transportation. Thanks again.
Lift and Uber is not that difficult you just have to wait for them to get to you because they can't hang around the hotels. They're not that expensive either.
Take the Deuce 3day pass
I really enjoy your price beak down. A little to fancy for my blood lol. I usually end up at a MGM property because of my comp roooms
Is it bad I always finish my drinks or at least split with a friend ? I don’t waste lol great video. You gotta experience lavo
I am shunned in Wisconsin for not finishing drinks - totally Against the culture there 😅
The way I look at it is the drink is paid for in full and there are no partial returns, so if I take one sip or down the glass, the price is the same.
Keep enjoying yourself…
Man! That's way too freakin' expensive! Forget that!
Take your room money and get a players card. And gamble that amount/ and you'll get rooms comped. But still have resort fees. Cosmo Mar 2021 had no resort fees it was awesome
You mentioned you got a 25% discount as a local.... Do all Vegas bars & restaurants do that?
I was looking at the menu for Lavo. They put cream and onions in their carbonara, sacrilegious. It's probably a good thing that you didn't go, lol.
Honestly I'm not disappointed by not going... Tao and Mott are better, and Lavo will probably always be there.
Those drink prices at the pool are robbery
Resort fees are the biggest ripoff. Just raise the room rate. Leaves a bad feeling about the hotel
Absolutely
Dude !!! Since you know about the Las Vegas handshake, how do you NOT know about the $20 front desk tip ???
Because it's the biggest myth in Vegas. If it worked, there wouldn't be any suites left to purchase. It worked it old Vegas, but today, all it gets you is a high floor, a premium view, or a corner room (if even available).
These are billion dollar corporations, and front desk (entry level employees) don't have the decision making capability or managing responsibility to give away profitable free products, the same way employees can't give away free coffees at Starbucks for any money, let alone $20. People swear by it, because the front desk personnel are trained precisely on how to handle the situation, and, as I said, upsell a standard room with ever so slightly enhanced amenities.
Would the $20 trick work in Milwaukee, or New York? Then why do people think it would work in Vegas? If anything, Vegas is about maximizing profits the most out of any city in the world.
Not too bad for a little Vegas overindulgence!
The buns you had in Mott32 was invented by the owner of Tim Ho Wan
Hey coolist what do you do for a living? I wish to travel like you do man! Government work does not pay (minus good benefits)
Dude I always wonder what this guy does too? Lol like how does one stay in Vegas for 26 days!! Lol
@@noeeortiz9073 I hope it’s not rude that I asked I just want his budget too lol
This question might be addressed in my q&a video
@@Coolist are you hiring?
@@austinmejia3210 right. Reach me your ways coolist! Lol
I'm hoping to go to Vegas soon with someone I'd consider a friend. I'd like to pay for most of this suff just so she has a really nice time. This is going to be expensive! That's ok tho. I never spoil myself
We stay at the 2 bedroom penthouse at the Bellagio , $6000 for 7 days
$1,900 really isn't that much for everything that you did. I really like this vlog and I really like you.
Good lord. Eat and drink for two. Yes you do. Lol. Wow. Gad I’m a sandwich and pizza guy. Do enjoy the drink detail you provide. And glad you down only half those drinks. Stomach of steel in any event.
That's what they called me in college - "iron gut" 😎
Lol...
You moved to Vegas...local rate? I thought you lived in Wisconsin.
Damn I’m trying to book a 2 night stay oct 8- oct 10 its about $1083.00 for 2 nights at the Venetian should i go for it?
HAHAHA! "I ordered seven drinks, again, I drank half of them, so really it's three and a half"..... tell that to the cops. HAHAHA!
Wynn/encore are the best places to play poker and gamble.
Vegas is Vegas, but now even more so.. With all that’s happened in the world over the last year, people are realizing how much the markup is at clubs & bars, rather than buying a bottle and drinking closer to your room.. Anyone who hasn’t been there in 15 years + should expect to be profoundly shocked..
Not bad.. I usually drop double. Not including gambling.
houston we have a problem
“I don’t like to waste money”
“I only drink half of my drinks”
I’m ordering every cool drink there is, whether I take one sip or gulp the whole thing. - I’m not drinking to get drunk 😎
@@Coolist If I ever see you drinking in Vegas I’m going to come up behind you and take the other half 🤪
That I can promise you is a 💯 deal! 🤝
Please can someone explain to those of us who aren't American, how much are we supposed to tip when in Vegas? I watch this series from James to get that but is there a set amount? In my country, there is no tipping 🤷🏾♂️
Can't wait to visit Vegas!
STANDARD TIPPING
Drinks at the bar - 10%
Dining at the bar - 10% - ok service, 13% - good service, 15% great service
Dining at a restaurant table - 15% - ok service, 18% - good service, 20% - great service
Also I tip bellman $5 bag and housekeeping at least $5 daily
Standard 15% that’s the low end now
20% or more for good service
Without tips these people don’t make anything near a living wage
@@Coolist Wow okay thanks James, saving this!
@@marycorkery2622 Thank you for explaining. We don't have tips in my country. This is helpful for when I travel!
Nothing wrong if you have this kind of budget but eating and drinking only at one of the most expensive hotels is crazy. The fun of vegas is hopping around and experiencing different places. This is like going to hawaii and staying in your resort ...
um "I don't like to waste money.." but I like to spend it..." ..um, you couldn't buy like a case of water at walgreens? and eat at Subway? lol.. I know vegas is a food city, but nah I couldn't spend that much on food and drinks.. that's ridiculous.
Ouch
Isn't it just written off as a cost of doing research in your Vlog business...... ?
How about the escorts?
30 bucks for a 20oz frozen drink at the pool. Good grief. Not to mention I'm staying in a 1 bedroom condo right on the beach in Florida for the entire week next week for less than you paid for 3 nights in a hotel.
TAO is the most profitable Chinese food restaurant in USA
They have been giving me 12 free nights a month for half a year and I barely gambled anything. Cheaper to gamble for the room
Resort fees ,meh i just know thats part of it.I keep telling people that everywhere in california now has a resort fee even if its not really a resort.
Vegas handshake??
🤝 💵
Slipping cash directly to a bartender. Or front desk person at time of check in, when you ask "Are there any complimentary upgrades available at this time?" For this, fold $20 bill between credit card and DL.
@@rickb3288 it works ?
Virgin is charging $102 resort fee!!! Didn't bother book. Tried booking another day, once again $102 resort fee. SCREW THEM.
I just don’t understand why you would pay $32 for a single pina colada
IF YOU GAMBLE THEN GET A GRAZIE CARD AND GET YOUR ROOMS COMP'D
Lol they were on Dirty Dining today for having a Rat/Roach Infestation
Could have went to Europe
Lmaooooooo
Too much. Went 2 Europe for 2 weeks I. 2019 ,5 star hotel in Center of Rome, trip to Florence, including Plane fair, parking for car at Airport only $2150, food not included.
$34 for a pina colada now I love pina coladas but for $34 and you get in a plastic cup come on.
That being said is important to not hold back as holding back will ruin the experience.
Live in the moment do not live in the past do not live in the future as living in the past in the future brings you into some illusionary past and future when the only moment is the current moment and it is the only moment available to us and it is the door to all other moments.
It's important to not plan things as our true self does things spontaneously. That's what I found live in the moment do not plan do whatever feels right in the moment and you will live a very free life.
No STRIP CLUB bills..? You didn't have any fun then....
Its a rip off I can help
Tao SUCKS and is overpriced. The best Japanese is not and has never been on the Strip.
Go to Kabuto for sushi (or Yui if you can't get a reservation). For Yakitori check out Raku (or Ichiza if you want even better value).
Your video was even more boring than I thought it would be. I couldn't finish it.
But you commented 😅
Thats an all in black or red bet on roulette to pay for the trip 🫠
