All right, I got some of what you missed:
    > Eagle is Gay: He was added in CVS2 as a homage to Freddy Mercury, having several quotes from the singer during gameplay (like "the show must go on") and being made cannonically gay.
    as a result.
    >Ryu's Headband: Ryu's RED headband was a gift from Ken, to remind him he could control the satsui no hadou.
    > Dictator's want to be a cute anime girl: Not just Cammy, Falke and Dool Unit 0 (Seth) were built as replacement bodies, but the whole Doll project had him kidnapping 16 year old girls that fit the Japanese High School Girl stereotype . Its even mentioned that Sakura was an target of the project, but she managed to escape the thugs.
    > New Generation, New IP: I think this refer to how Ryu and Ken were not supposed to be in SFIII, with Sean being the game's main Shoto. That idea actually managed to survive for quite sometime during development, but eventually, Ryu and Ken where added anyway, making Sean the half-joke character we all know today. There is a rumour that there was an ACTUAL early build of the game without Ryu and Ken, but that was just that. a rumour.
    > Oro's penis: No. its not the rope. In one of his lower kicks, you can actually see his penis.
    >Forbidden Shoryuken: its called that because It was forbidden by Gouken. This one is quite the ride, so let me explain: The reason why Gouken doesn't have a regular shoryuken is because the Shoryuken is technically part of the Satsui no Hadou techniques, the very techniques Gouken was trying to move away from. the forbidden version is the original, lethal version that eventually leads to Evil Ryu's Metsu Shoryuken. It was Ken, against Gouken's orders, that eventually developed the Shoryuken techiniques AWAY from the Satsui no Hadou. I haven't seen exactly the origin of the SHIN Shoryuken, but wouldn't be surprised that it was Gouken's answer to Ken's findings. or even how he managed to hold the inherent SnH from the technique.
    > The Hibiki Family: Dan's father is Go Hibiki, the man who took Sagat's Eye. Yuriko Hibiki, Dan's sister, appeared first on Marvel vs Street Fighter, but was made canon on SFV. She is also the one who takes care of the In-game shop.
    > Kage is Not Evil Ryu: Evil Ryu, Shin Akuma, and by extent, Oni are not cannon. They are WHAT IF scenarios that shows how each one of them would be if they let the Satsui no Hadou take over. Akuma, due to his story with the power, have much more control, while Ryu becomes a savage bloodthirsty beast. KAGE, on the other hand, is a Physical manifestation of the Satsui no Hadou itself. On SFV, Ryu has finally achieved control over his power, finding the balance he needed. This ended up having the side effect of the Satsui no Hadou on his body to manifest as a separate entity. Something simillar, but on the opposite direction, happened to Bison, but his good power ended up reincarnating on Rose (which is something I'm suprised isn't mentioned on the iceberg)
    > Zangief is Gay: there are 2 other hints about this: In a winquote to Ryu on the Japanese version of SFA3, Zangief says "I don't like your fireballs, but I like you personally". Also, Apparently, Zangief's design was the stereotype gay man on japanese culture at the time.
    > Laura marries Aulbath: In the UDON comic, Darkstalkers Vs Street fighter, there is a small story about a fight between Laura and Aulbath. The story ends with Aulbath taking her to his kingdom, and Laura calling him "A curiously attractive fishman". Take that as you will.
    > Nadeshiko Heel Version: Its common on Wrestling for wrestlers have both a Face persona (good guy) and a Heel Persona (bad guy), and its quite common for them to change from one to the other between seasons. IINM, Mika has a Heel persona as well.
    > G is SFV's antagonist (and the whole X is SFV antagonist thing): Blame CAPCOM. During the release of Seth for SFV, CAPCOM made a comment on how they finally had every Boss from the franchise present and when listing the bosses they mentioned G as being SFV's Boss. I don't think CAPCOM ever elaborated on that though.

The forbidden shoryuken explanation really ties nicely together with Ryu succumbing to the satsui no hadou when he uses the shoryuken that left a scar on sagat's chest

@@Sexpert Yes. But as most of the cast of SF1, he didn't get proper development until much later, in his case, SFA3 Max and CVS2.
There are still SF1 characters that doesn't even have a proper story: Retsu and Lee are connected to other characters (Retsus is a good friend of Gouken, Lee is the twin's uncle), but besides that, What we know about them, Geki, Joe and Mike is from the CFN portal, because CAPCOM decided to give every one with a face on the games a quick bio.
And believe or not, SF1 birdie is the same guy as SFV/SFA Birdie.

The skulls on Dhalsim's neck belong to kids from a village he couldn't save

Horse Akuma is in reference to the Battle Cats x Street Fighter crossover where they added cute cats in sf character outfits, and a horse's body with Akuma's head. It's unsettling

To expand on the Shotos entry, the reason why they're called "Shotos" is because they're practitioners of Shotokan Karate.
The Game Over hint is referring to is the somewhat infamous "hint" where game says "never give up until the very end". This is an extremely subtle hint to the games comeback mechanic where your character gets a strength boost when they're on low health. So subtle it went unnoticed for many years...

Funny thing about Guile's quote "Go home and be a family man" He actually takes his own advice in his own ending.

i think the multiverse thing comes from the fact that final fight, rival schools, strider, and a number of other capcom franchises can be found as canon in the sf universe. final fight characters and akira from rival schools appearing in the sf games, zeku possibly being a strider, etc

    • @victoriawang1356

also dhalsim’s skulls are the skulls of dead kids in his village. and then capcom smacked a logo on them

Great video! I think "Crossover jail" means that certain characters from series such as Darkstalkers and other older Capcom franchises are just relegated to cross-overs and won't be getting games anytime soon.

  • @fairlyfrequentfightinggame8306

Crossover Jail is a jab at characters being added to crossover games then backported into mainline SF games, see the CvS2 and Capcom Fighting Jam reps making into Alpha 3 Upper and the Street Fighter X Tekken reps being added into Ultra SFIV

I thought was a reference to Haggar only appearing in crossover games, while so many other Final Fight characters became playable in SF 🤔

'Kage is not Evil Ryu' explained:
Evil Ryu (Non-canon) is what Ryu would become if he surrendered to the Satsui no Hado; Kage (Canon) is the Satsui no Hado inside Ryu, that became frustrated with Ryu's resistance, and so escaped and assumed a human form

I think the "Bison wants to be an anime girl" thing is referring to how the majority of his replacement body options are anime girls. Cammy, female Seth, etc.

    • @rwg6357
      @rwg6357 3 роки тому

that and before the retcon it to where Cammy is just an abducted girl like the rest... Cammy was Bison's Clone

You forgot to mention that Guile's Handcuffs became a move in Street Fighter The Movie Game.
Also, I submitted the MK vs. SF detail and was mainly talking about the sprite animations by Proxicide.

I think "bison wants to be an anime girl" is a joke on how the dolls and Cammy are all cute girls.

    • @danbadd
      @danbadd 3 роки тому

And that Bison created the dolls to be his elite soldiers but also to be spare bodies.

  • @rwg6357

Bison wants a to be Cute anime girl. Outside of Ryu, Bison's good half is Rose, Cammy before they retcon'd it was his Clone and #1 pick for his next body.

I think the crossover jail thing is meant to refer to characters who used to have their own series but only really appear in capcom crossovers anymore. For example, Darkstalkers characters
Dhalsim's skull necklace are also said to be " those of village children that died during a plague." The idea behind the skulls are Kapalikas which are often associated with cannibalism

i think Tekken x Street Fighter idea eventually became Akuma in Tekken 7.
along with that, they also introduced Geese, so it's probably an expanded idea

I had come across with an explanation to Dhalsim’s skulls, though I don’t know if this is a fact. They’re supposed to be the skulls of dead children from his village. A reminder to himself that he must fight on to protect his people.

Norimaro actually almost got fully implemented into the international versions of MSHvSF. Some of his graphics actually got localized, albeit unused.
Also, regarding SF vs. MK, Ed Boon (co-creator of MK) expressed interest in adding a SF character in a MK game, but Capcom said no.
