PLOT
The story takes place in the world of Rieze Maxia, where humans and spirits live together in harmony. The spirits support human civilization by granting wishes, such as the ability to channel mana as Spirit Power, and in turn are protected by those wishes. The most powerful of these spirits is a being called Maxwell, though its true nature is unknown. Lately the kingdom of Rashugal has been experimenting with a powerful source that led to draining the mana from the world. Sensing the death of many spirits Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four unseen beings, starts investigating the cause. She meets Jude Mathis, a clever medical student attending school in the capital city. Realizing the harm it is inflicting on the world, Jude and Milla set off on a journey to destroy it and restore the mana back to the world. They find the Lance of Kresnik, a weapon of mass destruction, but trying to destroy it Milla looses her power and ability to summon spirits. The two are only saved thanks to the intervention of Alvin, a wandering mercenary. Regardless, Milla still holds strong to her duty to protect the world. With Jude wanting to follow her since she needs help, and having nowhere to go being a fugitive now, they continue their journey to regain Milla's powers and stop the Lance of Kresnik.
After many adventures at the end Milla sacrifices her mana, and her life, to save Jude and his friends from a deadly trap.
