Fractured Milla is the worst thing about this game. If only she had more(and better) screen time without “Tsunderism shit”. Her time with Elle is the best thing about the character.(Used more for a plot device). She is more a “love bait” for troll xillia fans(Jude and Milla fans) but in the end Lara is the canon pair for Ludger *IF* ... 😥
We got to see what would happen a Milla with a human personality... She grew onto me... Dammit I still hate that rule 'two coidentical beings cannot exist in the same dimension.'
Strange that after all the controversy, and along with all the RPGs I've played... this is one of my favorite RPGs. It's like the love child of "Tales of" and "Fate Stay Night" with the battle mechanics of an actual fighting game. With a voiceless main character that literally is like the main character of a visual novel, where you as the player makes the decisions of the character. It's a Frankenstein's monster of a game... and I love it :)
Man I always thought Abyss had the best characters, Graces had the best story, and Vesperia had the best game play. But then Xillia 1 and 2 came and changed everything! seriously it's the most underrated game ever! especially Xillia 2, it has a great story, the most fun game play, and some of the greatest characters ever (Gaius and Alvin).
This game is by far my favorite out of all the titles I've played. Started at Symphonia and played all of them up to this point. This game has moved me in so many ways. Not many games can get me emotionally moved enough to cry, but this one definitely did. I have hopes for Zestiria, but I'm not expecting a masterpiece like Xillia 2.
I played Symphonia, graces f, Xillia 1, Xillia 2, Zestiria, and I'm sorry but Xillia 2's scenario was the best and the most badass one. So many surprising revelations and plot twists... love it so much.
I remember hardly anything from this game... But my best friend and I spent a week straight binging it at her house in the summer of 2014. Literally would hand the controller off after a couple hours... It was the best time. This song gives me an incredible amount of nostalgia.
It's a song by Hamasaki Ayumi. Of course it's good. She's the Queen of J-Pop and you can hear her songs everywhere 10-20 years ago, from radios to TV commercials. I'm even playing this game all over again recently after 12 years.
2020's been a funny thing. Made me all the more nostalgic for my time spent travelling, my High School days, and Tales of Xillia 2. God I miss this game.
Of the few Tales games i have played, Xillia has been both my first and most favorite one yet, though the Zestria and Vesperia are pretty close seconds.
I have to say, I liked this game even more than I thought I would. The story, the addition of ludger to the already great characters from the original game and the fun gameplay make this an amazing game. It might even be up there along with tales of the abyss as one of my all time favorites.

Mahou Shoujo logic: Dancing around like an idiot with sparkle particle which takes forever to finish. The enemies are like "Ummm, are you done yet?" Shounen Logic: a transformation was so intimidating that blew up his surroundings which only take 5 secs at most.

Xillia 2 is my second favorite Tales game behind Symphonia. The characters seem so real, they're all unique people with distinct personalities, but they all also react to things like an actual person would. The part that really got to me was when SPOILER fractured Milla "died". After that, where the after-battle scenes are normally filled with pep and humor, they got all solemn and serious for a while. Elle couldn't even look the prime Milla in the eyes and she knew it, she knew Elle had developed a relationship with the fractured version of herself and that she saw the old Milla as a bad replacement. Everyone else acted similarly, the awkwardness from them all was palpable and I love it. That's what I look for in a game, characters that aren't larger-than-life, they act and feel like real people would. That's not to say that larger-than-life characters don't have their place, I just prefer, in general, to have characters that show both their strengths and weaknesses as humans.
The whole thing with Milla is an example of what makes Tales games so great to me. In another JRPG, Elle would eventually come to love Prime Milla as much as fractured Milla, and then it'd never be brought up, but that didn't happen. I don't think Elle, EVER reached a point where she was okay with Prime Milla. Sure I the PLAYER wanted her back, she was my favorite character. To ME, Fractured Milla was the cheap copy. But to Elle, that was her FRIEND, and I legit felt bad for being all happy that MY Milla was back.
And the CE is freaking glorious, Getting 2, just because I know that I'll want to use the Rollo Plush keychain and the pocketwatch...One has to stay nice... Maybe I'll make the two Ludgers into Milla's twin-mans o_o
After all those years. After Zestiria, berseria and Arise, Xillia 2 is still my most Favourite Tales of Game. The Story, Soundtrack, Characters and of course the OP. I still hope for a remastered of Xillia 1 and 2.
I really loved Arise. The relationship between Alphen and Shionne was just beautiful, but this game will forever have a special place in my heart. Romantic relationships are beautiful, but the bond between parent and child is something else. Ludger and Elle made this game one of the best experiences a game ever gave me.
Tales of xillia 1, and 2 are still my favourite games I ever played on ps3 10 years ago. And I still have my disks for the games too. I also wish for a remaster of the games too
For me, this game was an emotional roller-coaster. The part when a variant Mila training places with the main Mila, finding out Ellie is Ludger's daughter from a different timeline, killing Julius, then the decision of killing Ledger or Elle... Not to mention the mini crossover in "Tales of Zesteria" fighting the Turtle dude that whistles like Ludger and Julius, and "Tales of Arise" with the fight against Chronus. Good stuff there.
Seeing Xillia 2 makes me wish that Namco make other Tales games after Xillia 2 with modern civilization and what i mean by that is that it would have a world with cars, modern city buildings, tv, cell phones, trains and etc and you know what i mean instead of being medieval like all the time with new Tales of games they make. Because in Xillia 2 it had a modern civilization well kinda i think with modern technology like cell phones, modern city buildings, guns, tv and etc. Something like what Square Enix did with Final Fantasy when it use to be knights and dragons and such you know what i mean until it got to Final Fantasy 7 where that game had a modern civilization and technology and such. And i don't have a problem with medieval things in games i just think the Tales series needs to evolve just like Final Fantasy and other games did instead of making a new Tales game with the same medieval like themes in each new Tales of game they make cause i think it's kind of getting old, and well yeah i do know the Tales games with a medieval like world has some sort of technology in it i think i guess but i'm talking about modern technology like what Xillia 2 has right now. I just wish Namco would make another Tales game with a advance modern like civilization and technology as a breath of fresh air to the Tales series.

何か辛いことがあった時、1:02からのサビの部分をひたすら聞いて自信を元気づけてます。それだけこの曲が好きで、これは死ぬまで変わらなさそうな気がします。
全体的に神ってるんだけど、個人的には、走ってる列車のシーンのカメラワークが好きすぎる。音楽にもめっちゃ合ってるし。これぞufotableって感じる。

現実に近いのですね。何かを得るには何かを犠牲にしなくてはならない。
これは完全にゲームの教訓です。ラジャーはエルを救うのではなく兄を救いたいので、友人を殺すことにしたので、バッドエンドはトラウマになり、結局彼も呪いに屈します。 そして、ラジャーは非常に利己的だったので、世界は破壊されました。
I love the bit with Milla and Jude around 1:20. Shows that even if they’ve been apart a while they still flow together well in battle

I'm playing tales of Zesteria right now and holy shit It makes me miss Tales of Xillia 1-2. I honestly would'nt mind a Xilla 3.

I remember hardly anything from this game... But my best friend and I spent a week straight binging it at her house in the summer of 2014. Literally would hand the controller off after a couple hours... It was the best time. This song gives me an incredible amount of nostalgia.

It's a song by Hamasaki Ayumi. Of course it's good. She's the Queen of J-Pop and you can hear her songs everywhere 10-20 years ago, from radios to TV commercials. I'm even playing this game all over again recently after 12 years.

2020's been a funny thing. Made me all the more nostalgic for my time spent travelling, my High School days, and Tales of Xillia 2. God I miss this game.

Of the few Tales games i have played, Xillia has been both my first and most favorite one yet, though the Zestria and Vesperia are pretty close seconds.

I have to say, I liked this game even more than I thought I would. The story, the addition of ludger to the already great characters from the original game and the fun gameplay make this an amazing game. It might even be up there along with tales of the abyss as one of my all time favorites.

戦闘は爽快かつやり込めばやり込むほど無双出来て楽しいし、ストーリーも最高でした。
唯一の不満点は選択がテーマの作品なのに、プレイヤーの(ルドガーの)選択があまり展開に影響しないとこですかね。大きく分岐するのはエンディングくらいで後はおまけ要素的な好感度だけなので、もっと選択によって攻略ルートや展開が分岐してれば神ゲーだった。
でも限りなく神ゲーに近い良ゲー

Not those years long sequences one might know from magical girl shows.
Mahou Shoujo logic: Dancing around like an idiot with sparkle particle which takes forever to finish. The enemies are like "Ummm, are you done yet?"
Shounen Logic: a transformation was so intimidating that blew up his surroundings which only take 5 secs at most.
The kresnik transformation stops time for a while so they can transform, or at least it did the first time ludger used it.
Lot of people give hate to Elle, which for reasons I can understand. Personally I loved her and grew a very quick desire to protect her.
+The Forgotten One finally, someone who have the same opinion as me..I really love Elle tbh..the instinct to protect her just kicked in when i played the game~~

The Forgotten One with Julius, although the feeling wanting to protect him is there, but, in my mind he is a very capable big brother, I will protect him if the situations demand it..but between him and Elle, I will jump and protect her first~~ then Julius and Rollo..that damn flubby, cute, white cat..

I agree, I thought she was annoying little kid at first, but like after a few skits with her I just grew to love her and I usually dislike character like hers.
Xillia 2 is my second favorite Tales game behind Symphonia. The characters seem so real, they're all unique people with distinct personalities, but they all also react to things like an actual person would. The part that really got to me was when SPOILER fractured Milla "died". After that, where the after-battle scenes are normally filled with pep and humor, they got all solemn and serious for a while. Elle couldn't even look the prime Milla in the eyes and she knew it, she knew Elle had developed a relationship with the fractured version of herself and that she saw the old Milla as a bad replacement. Everyone else acted similarly, the awkwardness from them all was palpable and I love it. That's what I look for in a game, characters that aren't larger-than-life, they act and feel like real people would. That's not to say that larger-than-life characters don't have their place, I just prefer, in general, to have characters that show both their strengths and weaknesses as humans.
The whole thing with Milla is an example of what makes Tales games so great to me. In another JRPG, Elle would eventually come to love Prime Milla as much as fractured Milla, and then it'd never be brought up, but that didn't happen. I don't think Elle, EVER reached a point where she was okay with Prime Milla.
Sure I the PLAYER wanted her back, she was my favorite character. To ME, Fractured Milla was the cheap copy. But to Elle, that was her FRIEND, and I legit felt bad for being all happy that MY Milla was back.

After all those years. After Zestiria, berseria and Arise, Xillia 2 is still my most Favourite Tales of Game. The Story, Soundtrack, Characters and of course the OP. I still hope for a remastered of Xillia 1 and 2.
I really loved Arise. The relationship between Alphen and Shionne was just beautiful, but this game will forever have a special place in my heart. Romantic relationships are beautiful, but the bond between parent and child is something else. Ludger and Elle made this game one of the best experiences a game ever gave me.
Tales of xillia 1, and 2 are still my favourite games I ever played on ps3 10 years ago. And I still have my disks for the games too. I also wish for a remaster of the games too

For me, this game was an emotional roller-coaster. The part when a variant Mila training places with the main Mila, finding out Ellie is Ludger's daughter from a different timeline, killing Julius, then the decision of killing Ledger or Elle...
Not to mention the mini crossover in "Tales of Zesteria" fighting the Turtle dude that whistles like Ludger and Julius, and "Tales of Arise" with the fight against Chronus. Good stuff there.
My favorite Tales opening, it has the best things in one video: stylish animation, awesome music and a badass TRAIN, I simply love trains!
Seeing Xillia 2 makes me wish that Namco make other Tales games after Xillia 2 with modern civilization and what i mean by that is that it would have a world with cars, modern city buildings, tv, cell phones, trains and etc and you know what i mean instead of being medieval like all the time with new Tales of games they make. Because in Xillia 2 it had a modern civilization well kinda i think with modern technology like cell phones, modern city buildings, guns, tv and etc. Something like what Square Enix did with Final Fantasy when it use to be knights and dragons and such you know what i mean until it got to Final Fantasy 7 where that game had a modern civilization and technology and such.
And i don't have a problem with medieval things in games i just think the Tales series needs to evolve just like Final Fantasy and other games did instead of making a new Tales game with the same medieval like themes in each new Tales of game they make cause i think it's kind of getting old, and well yeah i do know the Tales games with a medieval like world has some sort of technology in it i think i guess but i'm talking about modern technology like what Xillia 2 has right now. I just wish Namco would make another Tales game with a advance modern like civilization and technology as a breath of fresh air to the Tales series.

It's will be more interesting if they make the new game after Tales of Arise was set in dystopian cyberpunk world.its can build up many potential such as world building,morality,vibe,morally grey characters (this is why everyone love vesperia,abyss,and berseria),and ost.
